    There´s a lot of pressure on young players, which isn´t helped by the fact that people like Tsitsipas, Zverev and now Medvedev keep rising. However, I think people like Shapo and Hurkacz will get their recognition soon enough. They will just keep rising.

      The best tennis players always rise in groups and today is no different. Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka had been the previous group... Personally i like Denis Shapavalov because he's different and at the same time a good player. Only time will tell how good. Thiem and Zverev and Tsitsipas made their mark while Shapavalov still making his... Hopefully he will rise to the occasion and i would cheer him...

      I am sorry i don't understand what do you mean when you say people like zverev and medvedev rising isn't helping? Because they come from tennis backgrounds and go higher and higher or that they're not worth enough looking up to? I mean yeah hubi got his recognition great knowing someone else knew him too

    You being a mere 20 year old told so many great things. Truly an inspiration to the budding tennis players and the entire world watching this. All the best for your career Shapo! Keep winning more matches and Grandslams in coming years. #thenextbigthing

    Ugh so inspiring. Saw him play live last year at the Rogers Cup and he's electric on court. Super talented and dynamic, with that insane levitating one-handed backhand. Major props to him and his family for their tenacity. It was so worth it.

    This gives us a real idea of what it's like coming up. He not only has pressure he puts on himself but pressure to do well for his family since they sacrificed so much. He's a terrific person!

    I didn't know much about shapo but after watching this interview, I came to know that he also faced financial issues. You are an inspiration to all the young tennis kids not just from Canada but for the whole world. Here in India kids and parents faces a lot of financial issues in tennis. Love and greetings to you shapo from India.

    Very pleased for Denis. He's waited a long time for this and thoroughly deserves it too. If only some of the NextGen, plus a few older players, were as well behaved on court as he is tennis really would be a pleasure to watch.

    It’s crazy how little support Canadian athletes get...unless it’s hockey. The other athletes have to put in so much on their own. I hope the success of these young players will create more opportunities for aspiring kids that don’t have the means to get proper training.

    • @rajathvp
      @rajathvp 5 років тому

      @@Jcoke2201 he need not have federer's talent. Djokovic or nadal dont have the natural gifts that federer has but maybe they will surpass him. So, talent is not everything to look for. Maybe hard work is.
