Hi Ricky, This is my first time leaving a comment. Just want to say thanks for your advise. My flight Monday night was delayed and later canceled...twice... and I had to make a last minute reservation at Park Hyatt. Arriving at check-in after 10pm, I was upset, tired but remembered you said, always ask for an upgrade. So I just asked if there was any upgrade available. I got an upgrade to a +$50 better room but with two queen beds, instead of my earlier king bed. After entering the room, it was a small suite with two beds, better than a standard room, but the bed was smaller than I thought. I was tired and just want my king bed. So I went back to front desk, and asked if I could change back to my original room. This is where it got interesting. The receptionist offered me a private suite upgrade for $400. I said it was almost midnight and declined the offer. Then she offered it for $200. I declined again. Then.... after typing like crazy on the computer for a bit, she gave me the suite upgrade for free. It was the finest suite I've ever stayed in and later I checked it had a market rate of $4299. I did say I wouldn't be needing late check out as you mentioned in another video. And that might have helped secure the deal. Of course, I thanked her for such a generous upgrade. It really made my day after waiting at airport for 6 hours while flight was delayed, canceled, rescheduled, delayed again and canceled again and it was 9 at night and here's $30 food voucher that nobody takes. Hotel voucher? There are no available hotels around, so no hotel voucher. Good luck getting back to the city at this hour and finding a place for the night. It turned out to be such a treat in the end. Quite an experience. Now I'm back home. Just want to share with you and good luck with the channel. Cheers
I think it would be more interesting (and valuable?) to compare Four Seasons “at the margin”, or relative to a marginal downgrade. How many people downgrade from FS all the way to a pod? At the end of the day, their bedroom was not that dissimilar to every other rectangular box bedroom in every other high rise new build in the world. Spa, nice, meh; gym, nice, meh; breakfast, you had an anaemic omelette! I bet you could find 90% of the experience for 50% of the cost. I like luxury as much as the next travel geek, and have stayed at beautiful FS resorts, but that property did not excite me at all!
Our capitalists are really the worst on the planet. Normal pod hotels will charge you MUCH less and will provide with free meals and drinks with much cleaner bathroom and actual locks.. You could stay for a whole month in a pod place for $300USD compared to $120USD for one night.

I'm a big guy, and I have to admit that watching the pod hotel bedroom made me super anxious. Looks like a luxury morgue.
Pod hotel room all lower level? What about fire /smoke alarms and escape?
Im 58, No pod. Fours Seasons only..
27 and I did in once on leave in the Marines, never again.
@@alaskanwhiskey what happened in the pod?

I personally prefer the Ritz Carlton Montreal over the Four Seasons Montreal.
Ritz Carlton is more expensive than Four Seaons!
The pod is actually big much bigger than those in Japan
The cheapest hotel in Montreal costs 137usd? And it's just a pod? No way
Nice content !
I didn’t know I was subscribed bruh
At 74, no pod for me.
HYGIE hotel Montreal canada
Even the most expensive is no match to the ones in Asia😂
I want to move out and go to a pod or something but it's too expensive.
