I would never throw away pieces of fabric like that either! You can do a lot of things with it! I don’t go into booth’s that are packed full and unorganized. Good idea to thin out! Love your deck!
Exactly, I wouldn’t either. Yes, take the extra fabric and ball them up and put in a jar to display.
Wow, that doll was stuffed with treasure! That is amazing! There is always something to do around the house especially for us girls that love to piddle around!😂❤😘
That doll had a treasure trove of primitive fabrics. I absolutely save every scrap of anything and everything because I'm always finding a use for it. I do go into a jam packed booth but move very very carefully....I go in because I'm a digger and I know that most people probably don't go in.
It was so much fun taking the fabric off!! Thanks so much for watching!!!!
Susan I would salvage the scraps as well!! So much can be done with it! Treasure chest inside a doll woohoo! I like hanging out with ya, even when you’re rambling!😂❤
I love your deck! You're rolling along with your projects! It's hard because you need to have items for your booth so you still need to buy and store things. It's a juggling act to keep it all organized. You're doing a great job! Fun to see your progress.
I love that ticking material. I have a large table runner that looks almost exactly like it, but it's modern...it's beautiful. It's draped over the top of my refrigerator.
I love those pieces of that quilt. I'd have to get a couple old frames and frame a couple small pieces. I have one I bought framed years ago, it hangs in my living room. It's a heart. Around the heart it says...Families are like quilts, lives pieced together, stitched with smiles and tears, colored with memories, and bound by love. Hangs with all the family pictures.
We got a slow rain like that last weekend, 2 days straight...I'm thankful, because these Florida summers are brutal sometimes. I soaked it in, wishing I could bottle the coolness for a hot day to come.
Thanks Susan for all your ideas. Love it.
I love the sound of the rain on your roof. I would definitely be wanting to nap listening to that. What an amazing find all the fabric in that doll was. Way too much potential there for the trash can. I bet you will find a place for all that fabric and the quilt and it can find new life somewhere! Personally, I love the cluttered booths that are crammed with stuff rather than the "styled"ones. I feel more like I am on a treasure hunt looking through all the stuff for that one find!!!
Thank you!!!! And good to know about a cluttered booth. Yes it it like a treasure hunt 😊
Great Fabric Scraps. I like the trio of trees and the cute deer in the hay. 💐
I adore old fabric as well and that cutter quilt look perfect to me. I have an old all white quilt on my bed and it's in rough shape but I just love it so I use it anyway. I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholders. I love your outdoor space but then again I love all of your spaces!!!
Thanks Michelle I appreciate it and thank you so much for watching!!!!!!
Oh I love that fabric. It’s like finding a pot of gold!!!! I
Have a hard time finding homespun fabric. Deck looks great thanks for sharing
Thank you Rosemary!!! And you are right homespun fabric is hard to find!! 😊
Love your porch and ideas!!! Just love and wait on your videos with anticipation… you have so many awesome primitives. 🩵🦋🪻💜
I love the flower flower frogs , in the bowl, I'm on the hunt for the metal flower frogs, they are hard to find !!!
Love your videos. You are so sweet! Those watering cans would look good in a vignette with the bucket...
Oh my goodness! We might be buddies! I’m always getting vintage fabric -even little scraps 😀
Hi Susan ya found Gold! How cute a stocking and the material you can still use how cool!😊love your ideas. Your view is amazing I go into a full booth.
This comment has nothing to do with this video, but I want to thank you for the Snowman Window video you did long ago. I painted a window following you. My family loved it. It's stored away for next Christmas.
In the last week I've picked up painting. I got me some acrylic paint, brushes, and canvas's, and painted a Forest Angel, and an Old Country Church in the snow. My children can't get over that their 67 year old Mama has picked up painting. They are my biggest fans. lol
The paintings aren't perfect, but I'm having a good time learning.
This old dog is learning new tricks.
You're a great teacher, with Many talents.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank u for sharing and thinking outside the box😊😊❤ u have so much nice stuff
Fun video, Susan~ I'm glad to see others still have their decorative trees out. I was on my deck today hoping to get my Christmas deor packed away, but I still have quiet a bit of snow and ice, so it might be in a couple of days. I love how you are using the wornout quilts.
Love your porch!
Some of the quilt could be used as front of pillows in rocking chair.
I walk in every booth ! I have found some real treasures digging through the shelves :) The old fabric and quilts are so cool, you can do so much with them ! Tfs, Jen
Susan the work is never done, is it? I’ll be sitting at the table and get up a ton of times to do little things I see to do. That’s why my coffee always gets cold. I always love seeing your deck. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Liquid gold for sure! I just covered some of my bean pots and mason jar with scraps just like those. Bridgett had a video three weeks ago with how to do it in different ways. I love the size of your deck and especially that big cupboard🤎🤎🤎.
That is awesome! I don’t know how I missed that video!!! Now i need to go look 😊☀️Thanks
If a booth is overly packed with stuff I just can not shop it. I will glance and move on to the next.
Have to say... I'm so jealous that you can be outside with short sleeves in February. Still need a winter jacket here in NY.
It does not happen to often. Now it’s raining and cold. It is like a roller coaster here .Thanks Leslie for your comment !!! 😊
Oh my goodness Susan, your porch is phenomenal. What a great job. What great items you’re so inspiring. Thank you so much again for such a wonderful video and such wonderful things. God bless you. From your fan in Canada, Jennifer.🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕👋🇨🇦❤️
Thank you so much Jennifer! The porch is the reason why we bought this house 🏠 Thanks for watching!
Hello Susan... I always watch your videos on my tv, couldn't click to like, so I had to go to my pc....lol I owe you sooo many likes for a few yrs. I love your videos...~!!! I got spoiled in Dec. always watched with my cup of tea...:) I love prim too... the scraps come in handy to rip strips to make ties on diff things, or to use a tree stick/use a torn strip to hang kids clothes or wrap around candles etc. Quilt pieces I see in a frame like @debbieriddle9429 mentioned in her comment/ or make hearts for bowl fillers... or like u did on the porch...:) I am so excited to be able to comment w/ideas. I love what you do and always learn something new...you keep my spirits up...~!!! One of these days I so want to go to your booth... I'll pick and dig it's half the fun of finding new treasures. Just keep being you...~!!! TYsoM. Clarksville Tn. here...:)
Thank you so MUCH for your comment!!! From one military mom to the other 🇺🇸
Love your porch, how do you keep birds from building nest in your decor? I can’t even hang a mop out to dry without birds making nest. I do love my birds.
I only have one bird that does a nest and it’s always in one fern!! Thanks so much for watching. Have an awesome day.
I pass booths by that are so packed you can’t shop.
Nobody but you, Susan, would get so excited over a bunch of scraps! I love it!!!❤ You have inspired me to look at things so differently now. Thank you! And i love how you make the word "books" a two syllable word!🥰😁
Thanks so much Lori. 😊
