Yes on the El Camino. I knew of an old guy in my neighborhood growing up that had an SS 396 El Camino... one of those, not for sale, never sell, then disappeared with the car... But was cool to hear the old guy drive by with it.
I don’t know anything about dodge trucks but in the lates 90’s, I use to go to my local dirt track ever other weekend or so to watch the races. One night, somebody had a really nice dodge shortbed truck in the street bomber class. He kicked everyone’s ass.
It’s gotta be a damn good feeling being you, i wish I had your health, money and know how. I’m crippled, broke and stupid lol. I’m jealous…. Good for you. You living the life, I’ve always wished I could. I ruined my own chance., But that’s not a story for here. Keep on keeping on man and I will keep watching. I been binge watching all afternoon.
Better than a 10200!! On your Minty improvement list add in paint correction and installing a legit ceramic coating Minty will continue looking like the Badass Truck everyone loves plus, bugs or Assholes as that is all that’s left after the bugs go spat on the grill and windshield areas will not stick nor, will mud or dust stick, not even water will leave behind spots and the last awesome part is that even in the desert ceramic coating will last last two to three years on a vehicle living outdoors. As usual Great content
I had a 71 Dodge D150 the same color as minty. I loved that truck. Cab mounts got bad. When I would make left turns the cab would move enough to put the transmission in neutral. Then I got Brownie. A 74 Dodge D 250. I had the local muffler shop bend me an exhaust system that dumped in the passenger side like minty. The gas tank on the Dodges gets in the way for duels. The other thing I like about old Dodge trucks is the vent windows in the doors.
Love watching your channel The El Camino is awesome my 1st car was a 68 SS elCamino I will have me another one of these days but the 70 is my favorite year keep up with the great content You're doing an awesome job and awesome work
Some super glue might have been just the thing for those jets. A drop to hold it on the screwdriver, and once it's screwed in you can pop the screwdriver right off of the jet.
Whatever you don‘t put stripes on the tailgate. Unless you are going with the fuzzy dice and curb feelers anyway. I dig the wrap too, and I'm not a wrap guy, but for a modified it is bitchin.
That's a sweet truck I have a 1975 Adventure SE shortbox. The truck came factory with bucket seats with a center console I have been restoring it for a while now and should be done this winter for the spring and hoping to go hit power tour or forsure Woodward dream cruise and Roadkill nights
That fin window is a Elco thing in 1970 as Chevelle's do not have it. I think you'd do better with an EFI system on Minty.. Since she's going to be you go get her truck!!
Those are a proper set of tires. Hopefully, the increased diameter will offset the increased rolling resistance. In this application, fuel efficiency isn't so much an eco thing as it is a range thing. Headers are always an upgrade but they tend to leak. Does it have a limited slip? If not, spend the money on a Detroit Truetrac if available. They work amazing and use regular 80W90 with no additive.
I think that my favorite Birdsong thing is how he'll just shove an engine anywhere it'll fit in order to haul it. Bed of a truck? Sure, fine. Truck of a General Lee clone? No problem!
back in the day you could come up with a Chevy station wagon donor and you were all set with one of those elcos, I can't remember what year but, GM quit selling those with a stick shift in them because people were crashing them
What's up with the coolant sitting on the intake when your changing the air bleeds on the carb? That don't look any good it's going to stain your new intake.
My Pappy had him one o' them Dodge Pickemups with the Long-Bed, but his had the Leaning Tower of Power, and it only took us 6 1/2 years to get him to put a 318 in his. I often wonder whatever became of that truck...he bought it brand new...his was Tan with Tan Interior...
I seen him using Indian head gasket sealer , that's the tip of my spear that's what you use when you don't want any leaks, I take and dab just a little bit inside of my radiator hoses never had a leak and never had to take one off with a flathead screwdriver later, now if I could just convince him to try a quart of Rislone in his oil he wouldn't need no 1,300 dollar fry Burger lifters, (mopars are notorious for sticking lifters) I forgot what I was going to say oh yeah , that Minty he looks like a government-owned truck they bought a shit ton bunch of them off of Chrysler back then to help rescue them from going out of business. the military Forest service to cops and all kinds of other agencies had them, a lot of them were slant sixes with three on the tree but some of those were 318
Minty is looking dynomite !! the suspension looks beefed up nice stance or my be its the tires that also make the truck look good . sweet Truck Chris 😎🤘🏁🎸🎵🎶
Thanks Chris, another video of cool content, scenery and bad wrecks. A sound track would have been icing on the cake. Look forward to seeing the minty 360 build and up grades. You have made her one fine truck anyone would be proud to own. Later.
I've seen a few guys here on YT using Diesel oil because it has more zinc in it which supposedly helps with the problem. I've been out of the game too long to have looked into it properly myself though.
I positive thats not a good thing u might have a leak somewhere for it to have green tint liquid only liquid ik of that's green is simple green and antifreeze I have a question I have a 90 5.2 the 318 with throttle bottle how do i get it to stop surging
Interesting video I remember the charger down in the wash I like the Anson slots on the trailer and I'm thinking about fixing up a dodge truck I've had on ice a few years 1990 360 auto 1 ton with the inflated prices I'll probably be further ahead !
I have a 75 shortbed d-100 minty old forestry truck with the 410-411 gears no power steering and a 727 definitely in need of the 518 trans it’s a 318 rebuild with a 625 cfm 4 barrel carb gas mileage sucks 5-9 mpg I’d put a sniper injection on yours but no headers enjoy the quiet ride listen to music and don’t have to yell at passengers 🇺🇸👍
I'm done using comp cam lifters I have had nothing but issues with flat tappet hydraulic lifters and I am not the only one. I switched to crane lifters and have not had a issue with them since but I don't know what it is with comp cam lifters they don't pump up or some are stuck I was thinking I was going to have to run solid lifters on everything because comp cam hydraulic lifters including the roller lifters were nothing but problems and was tired of tossing money away and being accused of breaking the cam in wrong when I have broke in many flat tappet cams for years and never had a issue even with comp lifters until 2 years ago and been a hit and miss issue since.
That Elco would have looked great white.

I am very much a truck guy and Minty is sweet!
I love that truck...
2nd gen ram 3500 duels are the trucks to have now. and a worthwhile investment.
Great looking old truck and awesome video. 🦅🇺🇸💪😁👍
I'm MOPAR but, yep, the El Camino is Kool. Merry Christmas.
That was a surprise 😬👍
You had my curiosity… but now you have my attention
Good rest project.
Merry Christmas!
Love that truck man! put a Holley Sniper on it.

I remember the buried Charger LOL!! you go and visit it every time your out that way. I would of thought that you know that spot without looking lol!
EZ way to make your screwdriver magnetic is drag the point across a car speaker magnet and Presto there you go, instant cling on.
The jets are brass

Cat daddy with a bowtie. This could get interesting.

245x60x14 and 265x50x14 in stock in Nankang. Far better tyres than the prehistoric Goodrich crap!! I am however in the land of Oz!!

Amd does sell quarters for your car. You should put fuel injection system on your truck.

I thought you got that charger already
Do you have a video about the install of an A518 on Minty? I would like to do it on my 84 Ramcharger.
