HI Luis, in a comment section somewhere was this link to a guy who explains why cheap Chinese car fuses are absolutely no good. In fact the cheap fuses are dangerous. hi Luis, i've seen some of your videos since my citreon c4 2007 wont started. i did ask a mechanic come to help. but after he checked everything that he could have done, he said my c4 wont started maybe because of the BROKEN CENTRAL LOCK (the key when i bought it it is already broken so i always manually lock and unlock the car door), do you think is it the problem? thank you very much if i got your reply :)
Very unlikely...
Scan the car, check live data, and go from there...
Thank you for watching and for your comment?
Made my day...a fix I could have done😂Thanks you’ve made lockdown Sunday a bit lighter...stay safe
😊
That's great!
Stay safe!
I have a 2006 Citroen C5 model 2.0 16v (AL4) automatic transmission vehicle.
I get transmission failure when it rains.
I am getting error U1003-0103 in OBD data
In addition, the vehicle changes gears on its own while driving on the road.
When the rain stops, my car returns to normal. Errors cleared
I think part of my car is getting water and the problem persists until this water dries up.
What is the faulty part?
Help me! please
Look fo the water ingress... if the car is OK when dry, might not be any faulty parts... and it is just the moiture/water that is causing the problem...
Look for the leak, and fix it...
👍👍👍
Which part do you think is leaking?
@Alperen Ergeç
🤷♂️
How do I know?
You need to look for it... see where the water is getting through...
Good day, I have same issue with my 2008 C4 Picasso 2.0HDi automatic. In the beginning "Gearbox faulty" was on and off for some reason, but now it is constantly on but car drives normally, no difference noticed. Had the same fuse blown, replaced, cleaned contacts but still no luck. Scanned car fault comes up as U1310 "Automatic gearbox electric control fault". Any advice on what to check next? Thanks
Hi
Check all power and grounds...
Check other modules for faults as well...

@@LMAutoRepairs
Thanks for quick answer. There are other faults P1351 "Pre/post heating relay circuit" and P0560 "ECU supply voltage fault" and I guess it was caused by same problem. Thanks
@@Mindoza007
I would actually say that the ecu voltage supply is the primary cause of the other issues... go for that one first....
Hi Luis, I have exactly the same issue, service light comes on and then says gearbox fault repairs needed but the car drives fine but sometimes it doesn’t move past gear 3. Why would you recommend please?
Scan the car and go from there...
Thank you for watching!
Great video, I've recently got a similar problem with my c4 picasso grand year 2013-14, gearbox fault, won't go into reverse, I've to switch off n wait around 5mins.Once u drive and want to switch off won't go into neutral which means when u try to switch on u can't since it was on drive when it was switched off. Any solutions?
Difficult to say...
Scan the car and go from there...
👍👍👍
@@adamsamatar979 my car iz doing exactly this too...... Did you find the fault? Was it costly??
Thanks very good I repair my car today now in Paris

Well done!

Very nice video. I have seen a couple of similar issues on cars where the engines were washed incorrectly. The substance used corodes everything if it goes where it shouldn't go :-) Also windshield washer fluid does this.
Indeed...
Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Fantastic video thank you very much I will now go and get my point meals Pliers and the Test light and some fuses probably once again great video cheers Martin

Nice and easy job!! Off course, when you know where to search for the problem. 👍
I have a 2012 C4 Picasso with egs6 gearbox, and It appears that the gearbox CPU is gone. Is there a need to change something besides that part(engine CPU, BSI,...) In order to get it repaired? And Is It necessary to do gearbox learning procedure?
Thanks
To answer to my self: After installing a matching gearbox CPU(computer) the gearbox started to work immediately. There was no need to intervene with diagnostic tool. Surely, it won't hurt if that is done, just for the matter of being aware of completion of whole procedure.
That's great!
I must have missed your comment before...sorry...

Why do people keep sending you cars to fix without fuel. I get the same and it most annoying. Great job and a plus of not getting wet.
I know... I get it all the time...
Lucy this time with no rain...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Yeah it was annoying me how they expecting a road test. That and obviously bad batteries
@@jusb1066
I get both at the same time all the time... lol
I think people are afraid you're going to run around in their car using their fuel so they wait 'till it's running on fumes 🤣

Wow! this is great and very useful sharing, thank you so much. I do have a similar faulty indicator as well and will try to check later. Thank again.

Great video nicely diagnosed 🙂, thanks for the link to the files 👍. Fuses probably blew due to the heat build up on the bad contacts. See some moron gave you a thumbs down, don't know why ? it's just stupid. Take care and stay safe.
You can please everyone...
Just the way it is...
Agree that the poor contact or deterioration of the fuse lead it to overheat...

you should make a video on how to make a nice DIY test lamp , i made my own relay tester / test lamp

Hi please could you help me out with your wisdom on a Citroen Picasso c4 grand 09 plate, the battery dies if I don’t start it daily. I have bought a new battery and still it dies out. The alternator is working. Please help
The parking brake button needs replacing because it’s slightly loose. And I can hear the handbrake on the left wheel when pressing the parking brake switch. Also it’s a 1.6 diesel hdi auto
How much is the fault finder kit? Or Citroen program.. can I download it ?
Good job L!
Thanks!
👍👍👍
The AM6 is actually a fully automatic gearbox. Not the crappy automated manual one. You dont see them often and they are really nice. For a citroen that is

For it this is what I brought EEPROM BIOS Writer CH341 SOIC8 Adapter Clip USB Programmer hot it off ebay am a small work shop over in Northland and want to have a go at this chip in this vauxhall astra radio
Hi
Surely the reader came with the software, or not?
I can advise you a software for a reader, as you have drivers etc compatibility...
There is some softwares that can communicate with several readers, but can tell if that is case...
Check with the seller...

What could be the cause of those blown fuses, first guess would be any issues with the battery management system👨🏻🔧

Most like high resistance from the corrosion that overheat the fuse...
