How these guys managed to get Dekus voice actor for Pit, and Eren Yeager and Inosukes voice actor for Sora actually blows my mind. The casting for Death Battle can be pretty impressive sometimes. I was the wikipedia page for Gojo's VA a few days ago and he's been in 4 different ones.
"defeated" Final Fantasy characters in KH have a tendency to hold back. Had it not been for Sora's keyblade, they would've destroyed Xehanort in less than 2 games.
I don't think it's cannon that word ever beat cloud, in fact I think the only cannon time they right is that first time in KH1, which in game you can win or lose, and in the manga soda lost

You can fight against Xemnas and Sephiroth with the same level 50 Sora and you will have an objectively harder time with Sephiroth. Tetsuya can say whatever he likes but that doesn't change how he made the games. Feats > Statements.

For all their "research" they do tend to take outliers and skip over some vital details. It's fun to watch to learn more about certain characters and then the pretty fight at the end.
Of course, after the battle Sora immediately hits Pit with a curaga and helps him to his feet, pointing out that it was a good fight and that he respects Pit as a fellow champion of light and goodness. Sora and Pit then become great friends and help each other in their respective battles against darkness and evil. This is _gosh-darned canon_ and I won't accept any other scenario!

Coming back to this after Sora got revealed as the final Smash DLC! Btw I agree that Sora should win this, the only thing that bugs me is that they say his reaction time is better because he dodged lightning, but Pit did the same exact thing when he fought Phosphora. But like everyone in the comments is saying, these two would definitely become friends rather than fight lol.
Don’t worry, he’ll just respawn! Alternate ending: Just before Sora lands the final hit, he stops. Pit looks at him and asks why, he is at his mercy! Sora shrugs and says he’s proven himself, and asks if he wants to go do something else. Cue friendship!

@@emmureee It's especially odd since Kid Icarus Uprising has more plot twists in one game than most game series would have in their entire run. Like Dark Pit's inclusion, Hades's entrance at the false credits, Viridi's introduction, Aurum coming out of nowhere, and a small blink and you miss it detail becoming a major plot thread being the Chaos Kin, Medusa's return and sacrifice at the end. Technically more plot twists than even Kingdom Hearts games when they are on their own. But Masahiro Sakurai just made it work. (Fun fact: Masahiro Sakurai wrote much of the Japanese script and story of Uprising himself while also being director)

Mike-Daddy in game that line is occasional when he dies, most of the time he screams in death. But, they should have made that line to make it more connecting.
"Atta boy, Sora" made the fight worth it. It's probably a good thing that this fight only goes up to KH2 ((pretty much)). Because GOD FORBID if it was KH3 Sora. Able so maintain final form by himself and launch essentially each Keyblade from the grave yard at a foe. R.I.P having to use Kingdom Key and not Ultima or even dual wielding.
This fool sora has so many different spells, baloonaga would be kept him from being touched in the beginning, WIZ ballonaga has kept even His toughest foes at bay which pops when a foe touches it explodes in a huge force in their faces of 1000000000000 megajoules of tnt XE hahahaha
I think they only gave Sora magic that he has to get to progress the game. In a lot of games with open customization they stick to what the character is shown using via cutseens or other promo material. Cause, oh man, Sora gets wonky with magics eventually

also Pit needed the help of 3 other gods at once to beat hades. Sora can beat a stronger version of hades (Which rivals Zeus who made 800+ stars at once without even trying). and the likes of sepheroth (Who is a solar system busters). Like the Gods of pits's games, can't even destroy a thing the size of a small moon. they are really weak gods. As well now with KH 3. Sora beat a kingdom hearts empowered Xeanort. with kingdom hearts having enough power to destroy at least a universe. which is higher then anything in pit's game.
IDK, Sora always seemed like more of a purple stuff guy to me.
@@flameknightdragon its worse if you say that each world is its own universe since world in Japanese kanji also mean univeres and it makes sense since each world has its own set of stars and are bigger to smaller then others with its own set of world rules

@@spencerc4252 You've clearly never played Kingdom Hearts before. Sephiroth is always stronger than the final boss, especially Xemnas.
@@spencerc4252 I don't care about the canon. Sephiroth is clearly stronger based on objective factors such as health, damage output, speed and ability. You can fight against Xemnas and Sephiroth with the same level 50 Sora and you will have an objectively harder time with Sephiroth. Tetsuya can say whatever he likes but that doesn't change how he made the games. Feats > Statements.

For all their "research" they do tend to take outliers and skip over some vital details. It's fun to watch to learn more about certain characters and then the pretty fight at the end.

You should've left the battle inconclusive and teased a sequel for about a decade.
Of course, after the battle Sora immediately hits Pit with a curaga and helps him to his feet, pointing out that it was a good fight and that he respects Pit as a fellow champion of light and goodness. Sora and Pit then become great friends and help each other in their respective battles against darkness and evil. This is _gosh-darned canon_ and I won't accept any other scenario!

Btw I agree that Sora should win this, the only thing that bugs me is that they say his reaction time is better because he dodged lightning, but Pit did the same exact thing when he fought Phosphora. But like everyone in the comments is saying, these two would definitely become friends rather than fight lol.

Just before Sora lands the final hit, he stops. Pit looks at him and asks why, he is at his mercy! Sora shrugs and says he’s proven himself, and asks if he wants to go do something else. Cue friendship!

@@emmureee It's especially odd since Kid Icarus Uprising has more plot twists in one game than most game series would have in their entire run.
Like Dark Pit's inclusion, Hades's entrance at the false credits, Viridi's introduction, Aurum coming out of nowhere, and a small blink and you miss it detail becoming a major plot thread being the Chaos Kin, Medusa's return and sacrifice at the end. Technically more plot twists than even Kingdom Hearts games when they are on their own. But Masahiro Sakurai just made it work. (Fun fact: Masahiro Sakurai wrote much of the Japanese script and story of Uprising himself while also being director)

But confession time: Kid Icarus Uprising is in fact my favourite game of all time and the reason I main Palutena in Smash Ultimate and have a Palutena thinking emoji profile pic.

Not really. Look at the last Death Battle with Spyro and Crash. Spyro was dominating the first half and won at the end.

And that’s not mentioning Sora defeated Sephiroth, the same guy who casually caused a supernova.
Pit fought with the embodiment of lightning and won and had something called the great sacred treasure which is described as 100,000 times more powerful than the sacred treasures

Oh my goodness it would be epic don’t forget Cloud and the rematch Sora promised him. Also it would show that Sakurai lowkey watches Death Battle and so far the most recent Death Battle to become available in Smash is Ken Vs Terry so far. Dante and Bayonetta are another possibility too.

It's probably a good thing that this fight only goes up to KH2 ((pretty much)). Because GOD FORBID if it was KH3 Sora. Able so maintain final form by himself and launch essentially each Keyblade from the grave yard at a foe.

I think they only gave Sora magic that he has to get to progress the game. In a lot of games with open customization they stick to what the character is shown using via cutseens or other promo material. Cause, oh man, Sora gets wonky with magics eventually
