The thing kier was talking about with the fossils is actually true. Fossils usually have coal ore that spawns with the fossil but down in the deep dark there will be fossils with diamond ore instead of the coal. Note fossils are very rare I think it’s a 1/32 chance of them being in a chunk so that’s why they added this feature.

Correction: fossils only spawn in deserts and swamps with a 1/64 chance for each chunk in those biomes. The coal is replaced when the fossil generates below y-0, the Deep Dark doesn’t even exist yet.

It’s not that rare. The first time I found one it had diamonds in it. In fact, every slot in the whole chest was filled with either gold, diamond, emeralds, or iron. There wasn’t even one empty slot

You only get the bartering achievement if you are not wearing gold armour, the achievement is for distracting them with gold Ingots, for you they were already calm because of your gold armour, hope this helps!
