    the crossmember makes so much sense.. i never thought about that... glad i caught this video... over time that will beat the crap out of the frame when running coil overs without extra support...

    They are many of us in the mini truck community looking for a coilover conversion kit... So far there are no other competitors making a kit for our trucks. Maybe it's something you guys can consider?? I know i would love to have coilovers for my truck :)

    I have a 67 gto 10bolt rear. Can you guarantee one of these kits will virtually eliminate the problem with the upper shock mounts? Also will there be any clearance issues with a flowmaster American thunder kit?

    I am guessing that over the axle tailpipes are out with that cross-member.

    You’re missing a category of the market. Many people owns modify 88/98 Chevy C1500 and wish to have coil over shocks.

    How much tire clearance can you expect to get out of this setup on a 66 Chevelle with a 10 bolt?

    I bought a qa1 coil over kit, and so far, it's fine, but I'd like to add your crossmember. Would they work together?

    How much tire clearance can be expected when installed on a 1966 Chevelle?

    • @GlobalWestSuspension
      @GlobalWestSuspension  2 роки тому +1

      It depends on rim size, backspace, and tire size. We have ran 17 or 18 inch wheels x 9 1/2 with a 6 inch back space. Tires are 275 x 40 x 17 or 275 x 35 x 18

    What coilover spring rate do you recommend for a '70 Chevelle if the coilovers are mounted at a 30° angle?

    It's very easy to do because there is no car sitting on the Frame , if you were to do that from under the car it's a different story , trying to drill holes and adding brackets and braces is not easy when you are working upside down , and from underneath the car ,
    So don't give us
    ( it's easy )story

    this would have been much more beneficial if you had done a chevelle with a GM rearend instead of a 9 inch ford?

    How much lowering can I get on my 70 with this set-up? I want to lower it at least 2 inches (maybe more). Will this work? Also, does this take up more space in terms of the wheel width and rubbing?
