Some stay/look young for years and mature late and some suddenly grow and age rapidly. I think the directors/producers of PJ value the chemistry of the trio and the high quality of Walker’s acting abilities over having Percy age gradually as in the books. In Book 3 he’s 14 but by then Walker will be a full adult looking likely 16/17 year old and may not be castable in the role past Season 2. Having been involved with a possible movie with a 15/16 year old potential lead actor, we faced this exact dilemma.
I'm glad that be got season 1 with trio still not in full power of puberty, because atleast Walker is like 10 year older now 😂. Can't wait for season 2🔥

I like the cast of the main trio , but the gods and other adults were mostly a miss in season 1 ,along with MAJOR writing and pacing issues . Hope they fix these things and go more book accurate this season .
