This is probably the only “power upgrade” I will do to my bike until my battery takes a poop. I’m telling you , it’s a awesome controller. My discount code is also active until November 5th. Code hawk5 to save 5% when ordering from torps website.
Would’ve been nice to see a top speed run. Ik the bac with stock battery can do like 58+. But I’ve only seen 1 video of the torp and it did 52 and yes it was on extreme. Next video should definitely be a speed run👍🏽
I definitely will make some more videos with the bike so be sure to comment anything you wanna see ! I will work on making a top speed run video thanks for input !
Great content! Curious why you didn't get the regen thumb throttle? Any major benefits to running it? Heard it's good for additional braking, but also makes your motor a tad hotter. Thoughts?
To be honest I don’t like or want any regen at all and like the cockpit to be as empty as possible. I would never use a thumb throttle of any kind honestly.
Cheers from Finland. Looks like we have similar interests, gas trucks and e bikes 🤠 Its winter here so lot of time to upgrade my surron. Just got 16 invh rear wheel only to find out my chain is rubbing the tire. How did you clear the chain as it looks like you got 16 inch rear as well. My tire is 90/100-16
I have a 3.0-16 rear tire size so it’s not as wide as some 90/100-16’s. Checkout charged cycle works website they have a tire size diagram for tires that fit without trimming
@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH Alright. I actually went with 16" Michelin StarCross 5 Medium just because it said Charged cycle works website that it would fit perfect with Surron. I bought different rim from a local supplier as they couldn't ship to Finland. I wonder if their rim hub could be different from OEM but it doesn't sound likely. I would assume all rims need to be with OEM size hub to keep everything in right place...
So far I’ve noticed more range & more power. But of course this will depend on what setting you put it on power wise , and how hard you ride it. But I’ve noticed it has more %%% left after me and my buddy ride than his bike.
where did you get your warp 9 wheels from? I'm looking everywhere for a 3.0 x 16 wheel and cannot seem to find it anywhere. I want a 16 x 19 wheel set up like you have with the back tire much fatter than the front one. Please Help!
With a stock non bypassed battery, my battery current maxes out at 120A and the most power it lets me run is 7.3kW with everything maxed out. How are you able to get above 8kW?
When you put the die electric grease on your connectors. Did you put them on all the connectors or just the one to the controller? If so, did you put them on the pins and the other side? And if on the connectors to the harness, did you apply the same way? Or did you just apply a little around the connector sides on the inside and not on the pins? Or? Installing mine soon and wasn't sure how much die electric grease to put on, and where exactly on the connectors.
Just a little little bit on each of the actual terminals on the controller itsself. Then on the plug ins i put just a little swipe on the female side & a little bit on the male side too. You don’t have to put a lot it will make the connectors harder to click together than they already are and can cause pressure and depin a pin in the connector if you put too much. Little goes a long way and will protect it. Thanks for watching hope this helps.
@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH Thank you! That helped. Got my controller installed. Getting late, so testing tomorrow. Got mine with throttle regen and display. Had to make a little room in that tight area.
You were doing some of the tests wrong. To lower power change the battery current instead of the motor current. Then you will the same snappy throttle feeling with less power
I ain’t getting paid to say anything good. They just trust their product enough to send one to me to honestly review it. There’s no strings attached don’t over think it. I don’t push products I don’t think are good , I wouldn’t have posted the video if I didn’t truly like it.
The bac4000/8000 is very popular, but I think I want to try this one instead.
It would be awesome to do dyno test for this setup and figure out best throttle curve
Powder coat job looks awesome!
Thanks Rodney !
great video..im thinking of running this controller..dont feel like doing a battery and motor ..these bikes can get pricey really fast.

doesnt the BAC require stock battery bypass to achieve that speed tho?
@@codyliles6240 yes you have to bypass the stock battery on a bac to pull this much kw
Did you have any trouble getting the Torp cover to fit with your Race Spec bash guard? Nice vid!
No it fit great. Thanks for watching !

@@JUSTINHAWKSMITHThank you. Wondering if you had to pay any import or VAT fees getting it from Torp?
@@djdubz I personally didn’t unless I’m gunna receive a bill in the mail or something I’m not sure

You must have a smaller AH stock battery. I have a 38ah battery. Sounds like your stock battery may be 32 or 34ah.
I’m looking to get the tc500 for a stock 2023 light bee x is it worth it as in terms of speed upgrade and then later on I’d get a 72v.
Yes so worth it !
is it a stock battery?

I cant find the gold fastace 2.0 on their website. Do you have a link by chance?
Purchase from www.electrixebikes.com use code HAWK12 for 12% off , if that code doesn’t work use code hawk5 for 5% off.

hi , can you tel me the size of the tire shinko (19/16 the wheel )
It’s a 3.0x16 shinko 241 in the rear and a 2.75x19 shinko 241 in the front

How much is torp paying all these youtubers to use this controller lol?
I don’t get paid anything from them to run the controller. They just sent it to me for free for my honest review.
even like 1.5k subscribers are getting free torp controllers to provide " honest" reviews lul
free gear from torp and you review it positively .. hm
