My best friend just did this. He bought a bus at our local auction house for 3k, then our buddy builds them in Florida so he drove it there. He has about 90k total in it, but it is so nice! If you need any help or tips, I can send you his info.
Enjoy the journey - one leads into another ~ creating memories and experiences for your family! Reading some comments had me rolling my eyes. Grateful we live rural. Neighbors help each other and yet what happens (legally of course) on each’s property is their business and not scrutinized. I know you specifically chose a community that responds the same way.
That's cool, I didn't even know the DMV would allow people to register an RV converted from a bus. I wonder how hard it is to get it to pass inspection.

We bought this particular house specifically for this reason! No HOA or neighborhood rules. Neighbors can be mad if they want they just can’t do anything about it 😂 Thankfully just about everyone has a motor home or extra vehicles parked around!

I wouldn’t paint your bus until you’re done with the inside. Get those bus seats out of there and try and sell those.
We took the seats out years ago 😂 It’s completely gutted on the inside.
