As a Arabic teacher gotta say its fantastic presentation of yours would like a share with you how I explain that AL and TANWEEN can't co-exist together 1 has to go because AL means like "The" and TANWEEN gives meaning of "a" so we can't have general and specific at the same time they are 2 opposites one has to be there and one has to go if we said "The book and any book" doesn't make sense hence one has to stay and the other has to go.

Br. Abu Suliman, when you say "most difficult aspect" about something you're about to teach, then you have established a mental barrier for your students. That defeats your purpose! You know that Allah swt has made the Quran "easy to remember" and that means making easy the language in which it was revealed. Jazakum Allah khair.

    السلام عليكم و رحمة الله
Attention, please do not panic of this following script.
Note I have not finished the 8th action, I left to Mr. Sulaymaan , my spiritual and language guide.
The word umbrella - in English, part of speech is a noun. In Arabic,
    مِظَلَة
That word does not appear in the edition Quran, that I have.
Assuming, that word, in Arabic, it's quantity is singular. It's gender, is female. It's default grammatical state, is raised. It's default known/unknown is known.
Hopefully, assuming It is not a broken name or noun. Assuming that word part of speech is a noun, not a verb, not a preposition, nor a mere name.
If I search an Arabic English dictionary, for those basic word properties, hence:
    1. Grammatical state - The word state, should be in it's default state. Hence, the ending of the word must be a sukun or double dammah.
    2. Grammatical part of speech, or grammatical particle. The word I expect to find it's value can have the following grammatical part of speech values or properties: a noun, a verb, a preposition.
    3. Gender property - The gender of the word can be male/masculine or female/feminine. Assuming, in Arabic there is no third property, for non gender, thus a dilemma between male and female - example snails.
    4. The quantity property - can have one the following properties:
Singular, Dual, Plural. Refining, those properties: singular male, singular female, singular non gender. Dual male, dual female, dual non gender. Plural male, plural female, plural non gender.
    5. The known/unknown modifier. Hence the Arabic Alef Lam. For a word can be unknown, as no Alef lam. It can have a modifier of a known word, thus beginning with Alef lam. Some word can be in exception, not to include this rule, as the word Allah in Arabic, which can not have a modifier of Alef lam. Example,
    الالله
Is an error, and can not take Alef lam. Reference, that combination, does not appear, in the Holly Quran.
    6. Words that are verbs. Word that are part of a conjunction system, the Arabic 3 letters root, or 4 letters, or maybe 2 letters words that are considered as verbs.
    7. Words or letters that are considered as prepositions or conjunctions between parts of speech in Arabic.
So, what book can tell those values or properties that I mentioned.
A short version of my question,
    I saw the word
    مِظَلَّة
First action, I assume the vowel ending on the last letter, the taa marbuta, should be a sukun or double dammah - I prefer sukun, since the word appears with nothing before it.
    So it should be
    مظلةْ
The taa marbuta has a sukun topping it.
2nd action, I want to know what part of speech, is that word. Is it a noun realistic object, a non realistic noun - god, sky, sun, earth . Or it can be a noun modifier, thus a word that describes the noun, as the English part of speech, Adjective. verb - 3 root letter, 4 root letters, a passive verb, an active verb. Or the verb can have a modifier , thus a word that describes the verb, thus an English Adverb. Example he/it slowly sat on the carpet. Preposition - of time, of place, of location, of era. So I Hopefully expect to find in a book , the word
    مظلة
Is realistic real object, thus a regular name, or a noun - as a house, a door, a table, a pen, a wall.
So, I conclude the word is a regular realistic noun.
3rd action. Hopefully, I expect to open a book or an app, and to find the gender/sex/non gender value of that word.
So, I assume the book/app return me an answer, and decided the word is a female word.
    مظلة
That word is in its default state. It is a regular/realistic noun. It's gender is female/feminine.
4th action, the quantity of the word. So I Hopefully, expect, that the word value, appears in it's default quantity, which can be singular value. Not dual, nor plural, nor non quantity/non countable words - as Allah, skies, sun, fire, ice. I expect, to find the dafualt values, of the word in Arabic. English example, the plural of one umbrella is umbrellas.
The default plural - not dual - of
    مظلة
    is
_ unfortunately I did not find that value _
5th virtue or action or property. Assuming only nouns that are not names of people, can have the modification of Alef Lam. As the pen, the door, the house, the boy, the book. But not, The John, The Miriam and etcetera - etc. So, we can conclude that
    مظلة
An umbrella, any unknown object noun can be also a known umbrella. Or a noun that belong to someone or known. As,
    المظلة
    The Umbrella
6th action. Words that are verbs. If I search a word, that is considered as an action or a verb, the Arabic default value for that word should be in it's simple past tense, 3rd male singular form. Example,
    جَلَسَ
hence, he sat, or in English books, the verb to sit, omitting the to.
7th action additional or appendex. Words modifiers as an odd or even words. Such as 2,4,6,8 are even numbers, while 1,3,5,7 are odd numbers.
8th action. At the bottom of
So I open a book or an app, and it is written.
    The word
    مظلة
    values, properties are:
    i. default grammatical state, raised with a sukun.
ii. default part of speech of the word, is a noun. Realistic noun, regular non, an object that one can see, can feel, can sense.
iii. default gender of the words, is famale or feminine.
iv. default quantity or non quantity of the word. Let's assume the default quantity of a word is, singular, not dual - as twins, or two girls. In other cases, as non realistic objects or nouns, as Allah, Skies, Earth these can be non countable words.
    v. default known/unknown name - not a verb nor a preposition - is unknown. Thus, in the book or app the word will appear with no Alef Lam.
vi. default word for verb search, must be in it's 3rd form, hence he male, singular, simple past tense.
vii. default phase or appearance or Arabic word prepositions or conjunctions.
    viii.
    Examples Quran
    Example current modern language
صراط الذين أنعمت عليهم [ سورة الفاتحة، ٧]
