    This guy right here changed our life, for real. when we were 19 years old we used to waste our days away smoking weed and doing NOTHING with our time, we had ideas and goals but did we take action? NO.
    Then we discovered one of Brandon's channel and his workout videos and this is what got us into exercising.
    Shortly after that, we decided to listen to his advice on reading, so we both ordered 1 book each. Awaken the Gian Within & GOALS by Brian Tracy. When we got into reading this is when we saw the biggest transformation in our life.
    It's been a long journey from age 19 to 22 but when I look back I can see how much I have improved. The key thing is to have a VISION and remember what you THINK about you BECOME.
    I think it's like anything in life if you want it, you have to be patient as fuck and accept things are not always going to go the way you want them to. You are going to make mistakes, have setbacks and feel like giving up. You are going to have to test ideas see what works and what doesn't work.
    The most powerful thing I have learned along my journey is to work on your MINDSET because your mind is the most powerful thing you have and the more you work on it the stronger it grows just like anything. But something i learned recently is also working on a SKILLSET. Like Brandon was saying in the video, you can be positive and work hard but if you work smarter and learn skills then you will make progress.
    I just got hyped up by this video because it reminded me of old school BBC!
    THANK YOU, BROTHER.
    peace

    I see alot of hate for this dude, particularly when he guest stars in Connor Murphy's video. Calling this guy fake, or a bad influence, all sorts of crap.
    I got nothing but love for Brandon Carter, and hope to meet him one of these days. His advice is legit, and several of the things he talks about I have discovered in running my own business.
    As for this article, I would sum it up to say, "Be content to love yourself as you are, but never be content limit yourself to who you are now."
    Keep learning, don't grow stubborn with where you're at. There's always a way to hone your passions, learn more about yourself, others, and be a positive influence on your friends, family, and anyone else.

      I met him live twice, once at RSD and once when I was working in Bryant Park. Hope to again! This vid was a good reminder. I'm pretty cranky and depressed rn anyway so may as well put in work cuz times gonna pass & I'm gon feel how I feel regardless. I got bad habits that are hard to fight but I can do my good habits regardless of my progress with my bad ones. No excuses!

    Brandon's message in this video was outstanding and powerful but at the same time I have to play the devil's advocate. Happy emotions play a major part in the human existence no matter how hard you're working on your goals.
    For example: Brandon doesn't have any kids, he's also not married, which is fine! However, I have kids and I've been married going on 10 years now. Having a family of my own as an adult is very important to me. Money, power, success and fame will come and go but raising children to raise their children is the most valuable way to leave this earth in my opinion.
    Sooo... am I a bitch for the life I chose? Absolutely not. Love is emotional. And kids come from it lol. Everyone acts and purchase things off their emotions. For another example: When your basic needs are met. Are you truly doing things for you or are you doing things for others to praise you?
    Live and let live. At the end of the day the message is spot on when it comes to accomplishing your long term goals. Brandon was funny in this video also so that's a plus lol.

    • @AboveElevated
      @AboveElevated 6 років тому +4

      ontopurpose agreed. I watch all his vids, yet find about half of it relevant because im married myself. If i was single, I would relate more of course. My the vids are still good. Just have to pick what is relevant

      ontopurpose,you are right,kids and family changes our lifes but Brandon's message is soo true in that we should do what we supposed to do and keep growing never stop!This is life motto and perhaps the happiness for Brandon is keep growing!My dude)))

    • @ontopurpose4576
      @ontopurpose4576 6 років тому

      Eugenie indeed bro. My point was more geared towards not discounting the emotional side of life because it's why we're here in the first place but nevertheless. Brandon is correct when it comes to getting the job done to reach your goals.

    The things i often ask myself is not necessarily "am i good enough to be in that position?". It's more in the direction of "am i good enough to GET to that position?". I know that i'm not good enough right now, but what i don't know is if i'm good enough to get to where i want to be. That is what worries me alot. It's the constant worry of not having what it takes to learn and grow that i think alot of people struggle with. It doesn't justify quitting though. Every successful person wasn't good enough to be in their current position when they first started, but they were for sure good enough to work themselves up the ranks, and become successful.

    This is the opposite of Kinobody/Eckhart Tolle's advice, I think there's a middle ground, where you could be razor sharp goal oriented, yet at the same time enjoy the journey and the present moment because you are working towards that goal of yours at the given moment.

    • @Yayyyyyyyyyy
      @Yayyyyyyyyyy 6 років тому +1

      TheRockinBK Eckhart says to just not complain. But get what you need to do done. But dont complain about what you want when you don't have it. Just always try, adjust accordingly until you make progress and ultimately get the results you seek.

    • @RecreationalUseOnly
      @RecreationalUseOnly 6 років тому +1

      TheRockinBK this isn’t the opposite. Only people with Egos think they’re “good enough”. That’s a narcissistic way of thinking. The Universe is a big damn place, if any human thinks they’re “good enough the way they are” they’re nothing better than a sperm still looking for an egg. The only different is they’re walking around with an iPhone.

    PREACH BBC PREACH
    This all circles back to how relying on motivation 24/7 is bullshit.
    Motivation is doing something when you feel like it.
    Discipline is doing something REGARDLESS of what you’re feeling.

    Bro, the frame of " good enough already". Is used to get people to take ACTION. Just look around. There are guys who have what you want. Hot girls, family, house, money etc... that are less then you in many ways. Just have the balls to go after it because you could always be better. And you could die BELIEVING that you're not worthy. The truth is if you believe you are worthy maybe you are.

    I think most people overestimate what they can accomplish in the short term, and underestimate what they can accomplish long term. I myself have grown a lot as a person. If I look at myself from year to year; I'm a person with a lot more character and accomplishments. But from week to week, I always feel like I'm not really growing that much and kinda feel the same from week to week. This can be frustrating but I use it as fuel to work harder.

    I believe that the only people who wants you to believe you're not good enough are people who wants to make money from or take advantage of your insecurity. Brandon Carter included.
    Branden is so focused on materialistic things that he's probably never going to start to appreciate the simple, yet more important things in life. Such as family, friends, love or just sitting in a park enjoying the surroundings without a worry or a thought.
    The push for people to constantly develop and succeed is what's making so many people miserable. There's nothing wrong with being normal and having a normal life. As long as you can appreciate what you have.

    I lost 6 lbs this week alone doing the strict keto diet except for yesterday. My grandmother came by my house a brought rum cake,. I felt guilty for seeing and eating it right away but then went back to eating normal plus i worked out 6 times a week this week doing various things like hitt cardio, weights and swimming. Plus I finally mastered intermittent fasting so it's too easy to be in a caloric deficit. I got 44 more lbs to go. I'll most likely be ripped by the summer time. Then I'll be cool just like Brandon carter. 😎😎😎😎
