Yes incredible casting is one of the things mgs is good at. Some of the dialogue for him is awkward for sure but he made an impression on me throughout the game.
This is what I am gonna do with my kid when I have one and of course sins of the father will be playing as well (also sorry for waking you from your 8 year long slumber)
I can’t believe I’m saying this, especially because of all his tyranny and villainy, but I can’t help but sympathize with Skull Face. His life, his freedom, everything he knew, all taken away from him, never to be regained. It turned him from a normal civilian, a normal boy, into this… Horrible monster, driven by revenge.
The more you learn about Skull Face through listening to tapes and doing some reading on wiki, the less awkward this scene is, imo. Hated it when I first played the game, and I too thought what followed was shockingly bad. However, my opinion has since changed. In a very similar way to how my opinion of the whole, "They played us like a damn fiddle!" changed. This was partly due to having the cringe wear off over time 😂 The lyrics to Sins Of The Father make a lot of sense as well when you consider the plot. Granted, this game does storytelling completely differently to all other Metal Gears, sections are clearly missing, important developments and information were delivered as optional tapes to listen to.....which having known their importance I'd rather they'd made mandatory in order to progress with missions (maybe in a briefing/board room in Mother base), and Kiefer is barely in it enough to justify firing Hayter. As cringe as this sounds (though I'm certain a lot of people have said the same) the phantom pain felt after completing it and thinking back to all those wonderful trailers....the expectations....the hype.....the disappointment....the missing pieces.......,.that's all starting to fade as I learn more about the characters, how they affected future events, how evil Big Boss really is for how he dealt with his "friends" Miller and, well, you know who if you've completed it *cough*, and how the values of your character throughout are worth appreciating regardless of certain truths being revealed. This game is definitely not perfect but I'm learning to appreciate it for what it is rather than what I'd hoped it would be. And it's rather good.
Yeah i do that too. i love how this game gives you the option to create your own art, by sneaking and listening to conversations between guards and blowing up outposts and shit like that!

The Jeep ride wasn't awkward, SkullFace was about to forget the Virus strains in the Jeep and soon as they got back to it he's relieved, gives a villainous monolog zoning out.
How come, I ask, nobody understands this part? It's incredible how people overlook many subtleties...The story is clever, and it is explained thru means other than WORDS... This story is not for people who don't appreciate subtleties..., reading helps, as it transports you to the realms of imagination and you learn to appreciate that which words cannot describe: quality content rather than content quantity.Tere are so many interesting this; I cannot do other thing but praise Kojima as a writer -storyteller, rather-, even though part of the story was left out due to Konami; what we have is just brilliant..., with just minor flaws to the story.By he way, I am writer and, of course, an avid reader; especially books in spanish. Sins of the Father playing after the conversation was so awkward. It didn't fit the scene at all. basically script says truth about our world that we live: globalists(jews) holds nuclear lunch codes(until solarwinds leaks, russians got of them before trump-nationalist - leaved chair ;)). metal gears symbolized nukes. (play mgs2-its main motto basically was "everything is scripted/planned") skull face in sheriff uniforms i might get to your attention to on it. sheriff is means police. police of world. gendarme. skull face also wear a mask. hideout on masks. emphasized to globalist who are hidden backward of curtains. also skull face got burns its symbolize jews' torments in history.mgs games were always politically at beginning. japans and kojima are very clever person who conceal the truth in back of their games. euphemism son.
The Jeep ride wasn't awkward, SkullFace was about to forget the Virus strains in the Jeep and soon as they got back to it he's relieved, gives a villainous monolog zoning out.
10:31Where i can find this version of the song, sounds quite different, and really BETTER. is absolutly awesome.
+JG DeadColor It's directly taken from the E3 2013 trailer.
The companion app also has the song
most epic staring contest ever in gaming
It was fine until Sins of the Father came on for 5 minutes.
Leandro Perez Hernandez Skullface: “you gotta check out my playlist.
and here we have the E3 trailer of mgs v
I do not consider myself a gamer, properly speaking, I consider myself a Metal Gear Solid fan because of its intriguing story and complex characters. Readers will understand where I am coming from.Sometimes you need to LOOK further from that which is VISIBLE and LISTEN more than HEARING.---Personal opinion---
"Hur dur Kojima is a genius who does everything right, even though the scene is awkward it's perfect because Kojima"
+breakfestbacon someone here has a lust for revenge..........
but yeah the story is weak
breakfestbacon “to be fair you have to be a genius to understand Kojima”. Real T. This is some clunky expositional garbage.
@@breakfestbacon7159amazing, you didnt even understand his comment
Skullface giving a 6 minutes speech to the fucking wrong guy 💀
10:32 - The most epic moment in gaming begins here
/s
By most epic moment, do you mean watching two characters stare at each other awkwardly while Sins of the Father plays?
+Lucifer San Well yes, since that is what happens starting from that timestamp.. I was also being sarcastic.
+Hans Cropolite Ah, I mistook you for one of those fanboys who think every single moment of this game is "epic". Kiefer should have been the voice of Quiet instead.
+Lucifer San Lolol, I blame myself for being hyped up from this game but I probably cringed at the 'story' way before this mission, this was the topping on my shit sundae
+Knives Millions +Lucifer San Should've gave Quiet a pen and paper.
Kojima: but pens didnt exist in 1984 lolz stop ruining my ultimate story.
So what? Skullface is the real EVA?
Or was he codenamed Ekans Dekan?
...

I have never what isn’t going in life until now.
O_o
AKA Snake and Skull Face's staring contest
Am I the only one who thinks skullface is dumb? Because he says he's the only one who understands the boss, but he is blinded by revenge. Also he thinks wars limits to languajes, but he forget about civil wars and local conflicts between friends and organizations. So he want peace through the war, meanwhile boss ended the war to get peace again for the world what the hell dood, do you think the people will not kill themselves just by not being able to talk?
I had to watch the truck ride here because my vehicle was in my way and I had to skip that part
The final parasite 🥶🥶🥶
Red Oni and Blue Oni.
Dragi moj snake
mgs 1,2,3 had such good stories and now we have a long jeep ride about killer words and venom snake doesn't even talk. No wonder kojima got thrown out.
Jon Snow Kojima fan boy detected. Game is trash. No boss fights, shit villains and dumbed down gameplay. Also wishing someone rot of cancer because they criticize Kojima is hilariously pathetic.
There was that fight with the Burning Man
@@jacedjohnson3541 you not belong here, dismissed.
That’s a gross oversimplification of Kojima’s and Konami’s breakup
Does Big boss have the parasite in this car ride?!
"..and that is why I will show you my demon."
Phrasing...
God this mission was so awkward lmao
Walking behind him is so goddamn annoying
I still think the music exploding after the War is Peace quote is cringe asf
Whats the name of the song in the Background
Sins of the Father - Donna Burke
Sins of the Father playing after the conversation was so awkward. It didn't fit the scene at all. I have't finished the game yet, but if it doesn't appear again, it's almost like they didn't have a better place to put it. Kojima's directing many timed flagged in MGSV, and this is was one of the most glaring instances.
I know its 3 years late but if you think the song didnt fit you must deaf or blind to some extent
@@jasonlobo2350 Nah. Compare how the song was used in one of the game's trailers, versus this. Awkward as fuck, especially since probably most people who watch this scene were familiar with the trailer, so how weak its use is is especially apparent.
@@Manx123 Yeah I'm going to be real with you: As much as I hate to jump to the conclusion that someone on the internet with a take I disagree with is stupid/brain damaged/whatever, this guy is 100% right. To say you just don't like the use of the song here would be one thing, but to say it doesn't fit the scene? Like, I don't see a version of that where you aren't just severely, uh... Limited lol. Idk what to tell you man. I feel like you could show this to a twelve year-old and they'd understand, on some level, how the lyrics fit with his monologue.
No matter how old I get, the internet still finds ways to leave me absolutely spellstruck sometimes. It's as fascinating as it is alarming.
@@NoOne-us9xv Compared to the way it's used in the trailer, it doesn't fit the scene. Maybe something more atmospheric? The scene is so poorly direction, just a focus on two sitting characters with a moving background, not much could be done with it.
@@Manx123 The scene is so poorly direction!
The fact that you think "compared to the way it's used in the trailer" is a metric for anything in the actual game is kind of hilarious to me.
I am here for listen the song
I find it rather odd that this video has alot of likes even though this was for the majority the least interesting part of the game.
Wooooooooords
This part of the game was so stupid
Hiç beni dinlemedi. Hep kafasının dikine gitti. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
song name?
Sins of the Father. Read the description, mate. You definitely deserved a Darude- Sandstorm for that question.
+Mervat Lotfy darude-sandstorm
ima give everyone an advise,if the game has half naked girls, its made by konami
this part was so boring I just went fuk this I'm listening to my music tape
lol...
