I'm 73 years old and live in Australia, but in the 50's and 60's I was a very proud member of 3rd Davehulme (scout master David Chadwick, and memorable senior scout, the now legendary Jim Field). That starting place in the clip looked like my old school at Lostock (then the home of 7th Stretford Scout goup).. After that I was lost before you arrived at Urmston. You either cut a bit out or else I am wrong about the starting point, but then I've been gone for near 60 years. All the same I enjoyed the clip. I wish they'd had girls in the scouts when I was in it. I went to an all boys secondary school, and it's so wrong and damaging.
Hi. The Scout groups started from Davyhulme primary school, by Davyhulme Park on Canterbury road. Davyhulme. Lostock High School does have a similar look, but is about 2 miles away from this gathering
