There's no replacing Jeff Chapman- but as Bill Gaither is so fond of saying, "You don't replace a great voice- you do something a little different". Give these guys time to blend together and this could be one of the best versions of KH ever.
To everyone who keeps saying “This group isn’t the same”. May I remind you of a time in the early 90’s when 3 out of 4 members of Gold City all changed and many said the same thing. However fast forward nearly 30 years and Jay, Jonathan, Mark, and Tim have gone down as one of the greatest quartets ever. Change is never the same, that is why it is called change. Coming from someone that has taken over from 3 pastors who had all been in their churches for 33 plus years, those who struggled the most with change, could end up being some of the most difficult members for the new pastor to have to deal with. Why don’t u give the news guys a chance to find their groove together before u jump to any conclusions? Who knows, 30 years from now we could be saying what we all say about Gold City.
Great point. In Gold City’s case, initially, it was only Brian Free and Ivan Parker who left Gold City in late 1993, replaced by Jay Parrack and Mark Trammell. Steve Lacey, who was their baritone, moved up to sing lead. Parrack had never sang with a top-level group like Gold City, even though his dad sang with the Kingsmen in the early 70’s. Trammell was already a seasoned veteran, having been with Kingsmen, Cathedrals and a founding member of Greater Vision. Ironically, Steve Lacey left Gold City a year later to join the Kingdom Heirs. Jonathan Wilburn came when Gold City was already rebuilt after replacing David Hill (the original singer on I’m Not Giving Up). This new Kingdom Heirs group is solid. Give them time.
Or a time about 21 years ago when Eric, David and Jeff Stice left KH and everybody figured it was the end. Yet, here we are! This is a God thing. I’m sure of it.
They are still dialing in Brads mic.....but he is such a different singer than Jeff was.....sounds like he needs to be turned up and take some low end OFF....low end on top of a bass voice creates mud....
@@mikelp72 maybe you should see them live because it’s obvious you haven’t and you have no idea how to run a sound system. He was hired because he can hit those notes. Are you this mean to everyone?
@@mikelp72thank you for seeing yourself out. We all know Jeff will go down as one of the greatest bass singer ms to ever pick up a mic. But I feel like Brad is hold his own pretty good. Those are huge shoes to fill. Just like Jeff is doing a great job filling Tim’s shoes. Brad is doing the same for Jeff. I personally have never heard a bass as good as Jeff live. He’s a freak.😂 but Brad is doing a great job.
One of my favorite quartets! Almost unmatched!

Couldn’t agree more!
Getting better as the days go by every group no matter how good they are has to jell a little some just jell faster than others sounding good boys

I totally agree with this! This group has always been really good with change I’m so excited for the future!

These guys sound awesome!!!!! What on earth are people complaining about??!!!!!
the bass mic need to be turned up a little. hard to hear him esp on low notes. otherwise sounding good.
A good sound person already knows that. I used to make a 34 member choir all be heard!!!! That was a big blast for me!!!!!!
I don’t think he can hit the low notes, so he just kinda fades out on purpose. I’ll get in trouble for saying that tho.
Hard to judge sound, especially low stuff off of a phone recording.
I’ve been in that theater and positive he is popping in that system.

I don’t think the mic is the problem so much as what’s being sung into the mic. I know, not allowed to say that, I’ll see myself out.

He definitely does not possess the “cut” that Chapman had which would call for a different mic setup entirely to make it less muffled
@@mikelp72 yeah that’s not smart of you to say that so yes. see your self out.

This group isn’t the same
Change is good!
of course the group isn’t going to be the same. It’s called CHANGE. Everybody goes thru changes in this industry.
@@seanchapman3959 you are a fine young man. And your dad is an amazing singer
