I had the same exact "dream". In the last few months, I began to wonder but still refused to believe the inevitable would happen. Still difficult to believe. Damn getting old!
What a great show especially given the fact that he was already in poor health by this point. Almost feels like a farewell show for Key West where he got started. Still can't believe he is gone and can't shake the sadness. I never get upset when celebrities die but JB is different. For me, and millions of other people, he is the soundtrack of our lives. His music helps when we're down, and it's the perfect backdrop when you're having a good time. Truly an original and will be so very missed.
I know he wrote it with Key West in mind but, it just occurred to me that it might really be about heaven. Maybe it’s just because I hope Jimmy is laying next to the most beautiful ocean, strumming and doing his thing. I’m still having a hard time with it. Take care.
This man's music can put a smile on my face even in the darkest days of my life. Thank you, Bubba, for giving me a little bit of escape from the real world. Sail on sailor
We played this song at my husband's funeral - he was a fan before it was cool. I still can't listen to it without crying, but now I cry for two island souls.
What a perfect final song to play in Key West. Was this his final show ever? I’m guessing he knew it would be the last time he’d play in Key West, you get that sense at the end…especially in hindsight.
I'm sure he did. This was his goodbye to key west, a place he called home and loved dearly. Plus he really didn't play much in key west in recent years.
At 2:16 when Jimmy says ‘ thank you Jerry Jeff’ must have been emotional for him…for those who don’t know: if JJWalker hadn’t cruised down to the Keys with Jimmy in the Packard Jimmy’s entire trajectory would have been so very different! Also, he met Jane in Key West!.since Jerry Jeff had just passed a few months earlier and Jimmy was sick himself, I don’t know how he made it through the song !😢 What a special moment in time to have recorded. Rip JJW and JB ❤
Heaven isn’t about us ! Pure and total foolishness . What makes you think he is in Heaven ? Because you liked him ? Your Heaven or Gods Heaven . Seems like he had it every bit his way here on earth .
I really had some impossible idea that the man would never die. Thanks Jimmy, you've been a special part of my life and will be forever. ❤

Everyone should take a little Jimmy Buffett with them everyday and the world would be a better place "RIP JB"
Fair winds and following seas..... Wish he could have lived forever. It's a sad day.
Loved this guy forever, he’s living the life that most of us only dream of
My favorite Jimmy Buffet song. Wish I could hear it live one more time from this great song writer and artist.
7 months later and it is still hard for me to accept he no longer walks the earth. I won't say he is 'gone' because his music and impact live on!

Thanks for posting. Was on Key West but couldn't make the show. Was a great listen driving back up the overseas highway.
This is a treasure...

Thankfully he got to play one last time in key west
Leave it to Jimmy to pass on a holiday weekend 🦜
I hope all artists play one of his songs on their shows this weekend in tribute to this great and legendary musician.
@@berthonpowell7366 a legend indeed

So this was one of Jimmy's last concerts.
Key West was his happy hunting grounds.
Thank you for all your lovely songs.
Rest easy by a heavenly beach❤

THANK YOU for capturing this moment.
I think he probably knew this was last. Thanks for the music Jimmy 🎉
In hindsight, we have to wonder if he knew his time was coming when he did this concert.
He looks noticeably different - so I think so.
I'm sure he did. This was his goodbye to key west, a place he called home and loved dearly. Plus he really didn't play much in key west in recent years.
I really hoped that Jimmy would continue playing another 10 or so years. He left way too early….so sad!
That would have made him 86, probably not realistic, but i get it... A nice thought
just look at him. we had no clue what he was going thru.
I’ve probably been to about 25 shows. Will always be a part of my life. R.I.P. El Capital. It’s been a lovely cruise.

With grace, dignity, and love.
Live Like Jimmy❤
Be it pastry, lobster or love
Still having a hard time with the fact he’s gone ..RIP, friend.
Thank you for capturing this. Such a sad day, I'm guessing he is already hanging out on the best beach in heaven...

Best ending to a concert I've ever attended
I would have given my left arm to see this show
@@crk140i consider it a blessing. My first and only show. I wish for more
Once in a lifetime show
Jimmy the Buffet will always remain in our thoughts and hearts!
What a beautiful moment... Thanks so much for sharing it.
Saw him probably 7 or 8 times, starting in 1977. Thanks for the great times JB.
He was a genius and an inspiration to millions
