Well, that's a song that's gonna be stuck in my head for a few days. Sonic songs tends to have this catchy feel to them, even if they aren't typically lyrical masterpieces.
I honestly feel this is one of the better Sonic song in terms of lyrics. Similar to With Me from SAtBK, It's basically the dynamic between Sonic and his counterpart, Metal Sonic. It's Sonic's take on the situation. I won't get too in-depth; there's a Sonic Wiki detailing the lyrics further if you're interested, but yeah I agree lyrically Sonic songs are usually far from some "profound" take on philosophical questions and general deep lyrics. But hey, imagine hearing Bohemian Rhapsody level of lyrics on a game about a blue hedgehog that looks like an animal version of the Genie trying to stop a literally walking talking bowling ball in a flying pod from putting animals into robots to allow them to function.

This is good and it's always nice to see a cover of this song, no-one ever seems to care about this one over other Crush 40 songs like "Live and Learn" for example. But I just don't think CG5 has the right grit or ferocity in his voice for this particular song, he's good, I'm not saying he's bad at all, I just don't think he has the optimal vocals for this song.

Don't know if you've ever seen the skit by Key & Peele about the Green Falcon, but as soon as that solo started I was like Key: Woooooooooooh! That was so good. Like, it was so precise, and those fingers!!!!! I honestly think you would have no probs cutting heads with Jack & Rich, probably the best fingers out there lol. And I'm liking CG5! His voice was perfect for this!
