DAESUNG next please, highly recommend Shut Up live, Missing You Now (close up edit) and Anymore live. His vocal colour, range and versatility is just breathtaking. From ballad, soft rock, r&b, to even trot hahah, this man slays any genre. You really have to check him out.
This is a variety program that features fans and their fave singers, Taeyang had the most fans/application for the show. Shes a fan that applied to be on the show and sing a duet with Taeyang. She is really amazing though.
I love how Taeyang gave her the chance to shine too, he kinda held back a little for her to shine…❤

There are a lot of songs of taeyang. There are just a few years old because he had a 7 year break due to military enlistment, covid shut down, family .. etc. The latest album/tour was his "white night (2017)" it has a documentary as well. You can see how he directs, make music, practice, and thoughts process, etc. I am pretty sure he will drop an album this year he hinted at it(no date yet), so good news. I don't know if you know this yet but taeyang is a memmber of bigbang he is main singer. I would want you to CHECK OUT his band member daesung he is the lead singer his "ANYMORE" live japan dome 2017 concert please! (The song is call anymore). I am not a vocal teacher but with my untrain ear he sounds BEYOND. I Would like a pro to hear make comments of his technique what note he singing in etc. I really liked ur advice throughout the video very interesting and helpful .

Korean has 3 year mandatory military service and taeyang is in a group called big bang so his solo stuff going to far in the past. I think his white night tour is online. I think this is the end of the BigBang tour in Japan. Definitely not his solo tour.
I did think that was probably why there's not much recent music of his. I'm looking forward to some new music from him so I can hear how is voice is now, as it matures a lot in a few years. Thanks for watching!

I did figure that it was probably towards the end of his performance. I want to react to recent music because the voice matures so much in the space of a few years. I'll do another one when he drops some new music, so please do comment with links when that comes out! I'm not in Korea (obviously) so I will be late to the party when he puts new songs out there.
Also not here to criticize him - he's made millions, he doesn't need me criticizing him, I do this to explain to learning singers what to look out for so they can maintain healthy techniques and look after vocal health. ALL live performers have flaws when it comes to larynx positioning, belting techniques, and past habits that pop up, so I definitely don't think any of what I've touched on makes him a 'bad singer ' or anything of the sort. 😊

@@vtstudio173What you must know is this guy almost never stops moving during his concerts. He jumps, runs, twirls, and rolls on the ground amongst all the singing haha till in the end he'll be dripping with sweat and his clothes sticking to his body and you worry he'll collapse. And that's 2 hours of just him, no other performer to take over for him. Yet he still does encore for his fans if he sees they're still not leaving the venue despite how tired he is and he's already changed his clothes.

One thing I dislike about idol groups in the old days, they made lipsyncing become a norm. Even the best idol singers would lipsync because they want to present a good dance performance. They even belt in lipsync which was annoying. And its become prevalent again after BIGBANG went on their very long hiatus.
I watched BIGBANG's very first music show appearance in 2006 and they did it all LIVE. Which is something that even the general Koreans appreciated (Koreans generally don't like idols). Then and now, there's still that prejudice towards idols due to the unrealistic image they portray, the issue with lipsyncing and debuting idols that are purely chosen for looks. But BIGBANG broke a lot of the norm and became the trailblazers of the Korean music industry.
I haven't seen BigBangs work, but it's on my list. I agree about lipsync becoming a norm, it is still more prevalent in the Kpop world than western, BUT it would be physically impossible to do the intensive choreo they have and sing properly with any accuracy live. So unless they were to change the level of choreo (which is a huge part of Kpop, especially for the groups) then I don't see another alternative. It's not that the singers "can't" sing, but the absolutely cannot and really should not be expected to sing and dance the way they do. It's physically not possible when we think about the way our bodies are trying to use oxygen for the two tasks simultaneously at this level. I've heard clips of kballad singers (I won't lie, my favorite genre at the moment) and they sound fantastic, because they're not expected to bounce around. Slow, live songs for Kpop reacts are the only videos I can realistically judge or analyse. 😊
@@vtstudio173Absolutely correct... and here's where YG artist (idols) shines the most cos they sing LIVE when they perform... every single one of them. Do they have backing tracks? Yes ofcourse cos they have to breathe lol but do they "lip-sync"? NO. That's why they don't have "heavy" choreography for their performances either in concerts or in award shows. (They are the best dancers as well but they choose not to do so when they're performing, they show their dancing skills in "dance performance" videos). Where did they learn that from? Ofcourse from the best in the business, BIGBANG.

Fantastic Duo is a variety show. The guest stars will choose a fan they want to duet with. The whole shoot only happened in one day. They met that day and rehearse for just an hour. The girl is actually a student that's taking up a degree related to music as well. She has a great voice but unfortunately, she doesn't pass the the beauty standard in South Korea.
