But you can’t edit and unsend if it was an Iphone to a non Iphone unfortunately

Hey I need to no if happened to send a message to another iOS user and I sent a message then as soon as I did I went to go edit it but I pressed unsend instead. Is there anyway to retrieve that message that I unsent because it was way to long to write over and I don’t have time ti try and remember what exactly was written ?
