Working on mine right now...Andy Anderson 8.45 deck...Indy Stage 11 149 trucks, OJ Elite Nomad 54s, Bones Swiss or Super Reds. Would love to get my hands on an Element Mike V. National Preserve that I had 11 years ago...It went "missing" when I got divorced and they are hard to come by today.
Generator/BBS 14.125 WB with 6.875 nose and 6.75 tail, 147 Team Titaniums with Thunder 94a bushings, 52mm F4 classic 99a, Bones Swiss, 7/8 Thunder hardware with the gold bolt top right, and all black Mob.
I thought I was going to skate strictly Primitive decks, but I have fallen in love with the Darkstar resin 7 decks, 8.125. With Grind King Disruptors, Spitfire Formula Four Tablets, and the Lucky Abec 7 bearings are so much smoother than Reds.
@@computron808 I like them, but part of that might be because I was loyal to them back in the day too. I switch between them and the Indy stage 11 Hollows.
My dream board to try out right now is an 8.25 Neen Williams twin nose board, other then that its baker 4 life! Imo every company should be releasing symmetical boards these days, even if no team rider is using one for that particular company... its of my opinion that every company should be offering a team model symmetical shape deck right now to its consumers. Its so frustrating to watch so many companies struggle for market shares, yet a hugely popular trend is sitting right in front of the industry and no companies have truly taken full advantage of the emerging symmetical shape trend yet. I'm fully on board with the symmetical deck revolution thats on the horizion and cant wait for companies to realize symmetical shapes are a trend thats here to stay, not just a flash in the pan fad thats come along.
Any 8.25-8.5 bam element setup from the early 2000s with maybe that fiber light deck they made. Independent stage 4s from maybe 15 years ago, those trucks could grind on moon rock and be barely dented, any abec5 lucky bearings, destructo or independent hardware and spitfire 54s.
Always had to have the same set up...Darkstar from the early 2000s, Krux 2 trucks, black bones swiss, and spitfires. Never really cared much for other set ups. Started with independents and birdhouse in 4th grade, but the darkstars with krux 2s were so much better.
Currently rocking a 8.125 Disorder board, cause I really like Nyjahs mold, with Venture lows with stock bushings, 52mm Spitfire classics, bones reds, diamond hardware, mob grip, and I skaye in the Nike sb Nyjah II cause it’s an amazing shoe
Awesome wow l so proud you are awesome how the deport of skate go far l remember in the 80 l run for those days and is hard before you can see you guys only for vhs lol now with all this app and channel is awesome
Rogers board sounds nice, I just set up an old school Tony hawk board with 169s and super juices 🤘, also my local got 2 kelly graphics in 8 and 8.3 yeeww 🤙
when speaking of the geographical griptape stuff I guess it makes sense, I've always cut my grip in half lengthwise and did a line down the center of my board, but I'm the only one here in Kansas I've seen do this at least. lol
ur onto something here, close to my dream setup. if only Fa boards had a bit more concave, and I'd change the the wheel to 52 mm conicals and bearings swiss, ceramic reds or swiss ceramics haha
Damn, I was hoping you guys would talk more about the idiosyncrasies of your setups. Like Kelly and Steezus both rocking bones bushings in their thunders despite them not really fitting correctly, etc.
Lib tech 7.875 with grind king ? I think wee man's they had hallow base plates ricta featherlites once had a mother of pearl board with like powder coated trucks just had a board with grim reaper with female riding pale horse had 3d etched fucking awesome
It's amazing that literal professional skaters can't tell the difference just by feel or looking at the shape of the tail and nose what side their board is on. I never had any problem with that, ever.
Love to hear peoples board.. My christmas would be for sure a girl ou chocolate G008 board, royals or ventures 139 lows, 50mm white wheels as always, bones bearings, 7/8 hardware black tops and mob grip.. It's been more than a decade been happy with this setup, hardly skated any board besides an 8.0. Love the show guys!!

Yo lads I got some questions I stopped skating when I was 14 and was skating a 7.75 Now I'm 18, 5"11, size 11 shoes and weigh 204ish lbs. Could I still skate my 7.75 size? If not what size should I ride?
8.0 board. Don’t care about the shape. Don’t care about the graphic. Black mob grip. Thunder 147 I think. 50mm or 51mm wheels preferably bones or spitfire Bones Swiss bearings with the shields popped and always Allen hardware 7/8
8.25 is still the best, if you listen to porf. peter Schmit nineclub interview he speaks about seeing a trend among pro riders shifting back towards smaller and slimmer boards, but since the industry/companies lack so far behind popular skate trends (like symmetical twin shape boards being extremely desired by many skaters right now but still vary difficult to find) given another 3-5 years well begin to see the shift take place at the consumer level, but many pros that were riding 8.5s and wider just a few years ago are down to 8-8.25 now... we could vary well see a resurgence of sub 8in decks come back into popularity though I dont see many pros going back below 8in decks... anythings possible.
Ed Templeton once said. Anything above eight inches is hard to flip. I kickflipped my friends 8.125 And it felt awkward. I landed the kickflip but it didnt flip the way i want it.i am still skating an 8 nowadays.
Thats about it... i think i might have heard something about santa cruz doing a twin tail shape but i may just be pulling that out my ass, neens deathwish boards are twin nose with a ulta mellow shape which he claims helps make the nose steepness feel kinda right inbetween a regular nose and tail's steepness or something like that... Personally im most curious to try a neen board myself, but im glad to see krooked and real putting out symmetical shapes as well.... now that i think of it there may be an element or flip rider that skates twin tails as well but they dont sell the shape to the public yet, like i think appleyard was on the nineclub and spoke of riding a unique molded shape but element doesnt press his consumer sold boards in his actual shape yet. Theres for sure other pros/companies out there experimenting with twin noses and twin tail shapes right now and with skating becoming more fluid and stance-less driven each and every year, I believe symmetical twin shape boards are the future/next big board breakthrough.
