When I was saved in 1981, at a small country church, my Pastor spent every day except Monday either in his office at the church or other outreach work. He prayed hours for his people. He took his call to lead his flock so seriously, and taught his people the Bible. He preached a message on Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday after we had prayer. I never ever wanted to miss church, because he fed us such wonderful food!!He inspired us to love the Word of God and to dig for treasure there. I believe there are so many men in the pulpits today that are not truly called to preach, and do not take their leadership and their accountability to God seriously. It is not just these two men I am referring to, it’s everywhere. Judgment begins at the HOUSE of the LORD.
I appreciate your comment. It is so culture led and progressive in many churches. It is sad. The Bible does speak of lament and repent. God bless you! ✝️📖🌱
Agreed! What I've always admired and respected about Justin is that even though he presents hard topics that need to be brought up, he always faithfully preaches the Gospel!
God bless you Justin, true to the Word as ever...finding a "good" church is getting harder to find in these last days. Many of us are starving to death from the so called "sermons" being preached in the pulpits especially on the lack of repentance and Godly sorrow. If it was not for the videos you and other faithful servants post it could be quite easy to get discouraged and feel alone in speaking the truth. May God bless you and your family in the mighty name of Jesus our Saviour.
Be assured you are not alone! I left many churches that were infiltrated by the hyper-charismatic one by one or Warrens Purpose Driven Life or loud band worship., these hyper charismatic groups or non Biblical teaching. I had desire to read the Word and it was the stumbling block for believing false teaching. Jesus warned us there would be a famine of the Word of God in the last days.
Thank you Justin. I can tell that you put much time into research and care in this video. Well done brother. So thorough. It is very appreciated. God bless you.
This is why I am subscribed to your ministries Mr. Peters. Discernment in the church is exactly one of the most crucial things we need in the Ministry, it pushes the church from becoming corrupt.
Do you know if Pastor Peter's subscribes to the Sabbath? Do you know if he believes those who worship on Sunday are doomed to hell. Does anyone have this answer?
Yes for sure. He exposed what has tried to hide. WOG speaks boldly in Book of Luke. " What has been hidden will be revealed. What has been done in secret will be Exposed!!!!!"
Thank you Justin! It is wonderful to hear the Gospel-even “extended”. It was an encouragement to hear it again and again! My husband, son and myself are encouraged by you! So thank you-for the glory of God alone! He is so so good to us! Until we worship at the feet of Our Beautiful Savior-Let us stand firm!
I really appreciate this. It’s very telling. It’s very sad that the denomination I grew up in is probably past the point of no return when it comes to integrity.
Agreed! I used to get a warm feeling whenever I drove by an SBC church because, as a rule, you could expect God's Word was being shamelessly taught. That is not true anymore.
Well,... there remains one final glimmer of hope in my opinion: If Ed Litton resigns, then the newly elected First Vice President, Dr. Lee Brand, replaces him. Lee Brand is decidedly "non-woke!" Save us, oh Lord!
The Baptist church was once virtuous and preached the gospel faithfully, I was saved at a Baptist summer camp when I was 9 years old. It breaks my heart 💔
SBC represents a portion of Baptist churches, and even among the SBC there are still solid, faithful churches. I've attended Conservative Baptist churches, Regular Baptist churches, independent Baptist churches and SBC churches, and have found solid teaching in each and problems in each. Baptist really just means the church believes in local church autonomy, and you'll find a wide range of theology and values among Baptists. I've moved around a fair bit (geographically) and I've learned to really look at how a church presents itself (statement of faith, what they feel is important to put on their website, etc.) rather than the denomination (or convention) the church belongs to. Let this break your heart, though. My great-grandmother was a staunch Southern Baptist and I think this would horrify her. It's very sad, and it makes me really hope that a lot of churches withdraw if the SBC does not address this.
Many Baptist churches still faithfully preach the Gospel, and many SBC churches disapprove of what is going on in our leadership. I just wish more of them would get involved and show up at our annual meetings!
I agree and as a SB I've found it to be a sad testimony that a lot of the SBC is allowing the culture to define their theology and their methodologies. This is why true biblical exposition is necessary in the church and that we use the scripture as the final authority when we preach the Gospel, not cultural cues. There are still some good SBC churches out there, but that's why it's so important to find a church that follows the biblical pattern for how they preach the Gospel.
Justin, sadly sermon plagiarism may be more widespread than one might think. I left a church in my area because the pastor was using John MacArthur's sermons and preaching them as if they were his own. Week after week this continued. Many raved about the pastor's gift of preaching not knowing the sermons actually belonged to MacArthur. Thanks for bringing attention to sermon plagiarism.
@@patriciavanegmond650 well, at least the sermon would be Biblical sound, but integrity issue. The main red flag is the pastor is not studying the scriptures himself.. he’s not sound .
I am saddened by these careless teachers. I have a daughter living in a lesbian lifestyle. I pray for her and her partner everyday. I believe that we need to be compassionate and loving to all people and also give them the true Word of God.
Thank you for this video. I emailed my SBC affiliated baptist church this morning to remove me from their membership and referred this video to them. I had been sitting on the fence because of their use of Hillsong music and not warning the ladies about Meyer and Moore. I needed a push.
Yeah , right . I had a wonderful experience while visiting a country two years ago and ….well , I think it was some Country in Europe … wait … was it in Europe or in South America.? Just forget about , either I’m hallucinating or describing someone else’s experience :)
Justin, you were one of the first preacher/teachers I was exposed to mere weeks after being saved and I must say I’ve followed you for a while. So grateful for your ministry and appreciate your commitment to the Word and how thorough you are in how you present your content! God Bless!
Justin, thank you once again for putting this video together. I can't begin to imagine the hours you spend putting these together - you are very much appreciated for it. May God, in His providence, continue to give you the strength and energy to help the sheep see who the wolves are. Blessings from Australia
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6: 18-20 (The Lord does NOT whisper about sexual sins)
That's the Biblical way to refute false doctrine, as you did with Scripture itself! These teachers are twisting Scripture to fit this present world of what man wants, woke has infiltrated some of our Churches!
Your comment just left me speechless ! You’re awesome ! Does that tickle your ears ? I was going to say something “ silly “ but obviously Im practicing self control :)
Thank you, Pastor Justin for a thoughtful and thorough examination of these issues. It saddens me, but also reminds me that human beings will always make "mistakes" (intentional deception, at times?), and I need to always keep my eyes on Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping me work out my walk.
Wow, thank you for this. I had ZERO idea that pastors have teams to write sermons. And thank you for bringing logic and truth to these ideas given in his sermon.
Absolutely and here in South Africa they have gone into lockdown again and as it's Africa there's no furlough scheme and churches and gatherings are banned so we cannot get food to them. The govt is effectively killing the masses through starvation. Please pray 🙏😭
When a preacher gives credit where credit is due, it never takes away from his message but only lends credibility to it, and him as a shepherd. Congregations want to hear from their pastor, as he hears from God...through the deep study and right division of the word of God. If he has no time to study because he far too busy "event planning," as so many pastor do today, it is time for him to reassess his call and get a job with Carnival Cruise lines.
@@yeoberry You stated _"that he had the experience he recounts in the sermon"_ but let's think critically about that claim. Greear was neither at the same place nor the same time as Tripp. Even though the situations may have been "similar", they are not the same. Since they are not the same, then how can he (Greear) think that it is okay to use that example as his own? Also, the more common sense question is, if he (Greear) experienced a "similar" situation then why not just use his own story? Even if Tripp's experience was more detailed and visual, if Greear ACTUALLY experienced something "similar", hearing Tripp's story would have only helped him remember his own experience more vividly and he could then share his OWN experience.
@@yeoberry When it comes to repentance, there is metanoia (G3341) and then there is metamelomai (G3338). Metanoia is the anguish of sin in one's heart while metamelomai is simply the regret of being caught in sin. Your conscience tells you that there not a single time where you would used someone else's experience above your own. Even if you are at the same place at the same time as someone else, you will still use your own experience because your own experience will always be more important than that of someone else. What Greear did was intentional and deceptive. Yes he apologized but it was only regret (metamelomai) that we witnessed as that sermon was up for two years and would have remained had his deeds not been exposed. Anguish of sin (metanoia) would have led him to remove the sermon (or not used someone else's experience at all) much sooner as a heart grieved with sin knows that the disobedience is against God and not man. I truly hope this gives you a better perspective regarding the severity of this situation and I hope that you realize how you, in fact, are the one that has falsely slandered Justin with your remarks. _"For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives"_ -Heb 12:6 ESV I truly hope that you see the love of God through His correction of the heart. Grace and peace to you.
Finally! Someone who actually addresses the horrible misinterpretation of Romans 1! Yes, the lying and plagiarism are terrible but I find their rendering of Romans 1 far more disturbing!!
Hey Justin hope you’re doing well always great to see your videos. I used to listen to JD Greer podcast but I don’t listen anymore. I’m with you always Justin. Amen. We as Pastors/ believers should "feel" how God feels about every subject. Again, AMEN! I wonder if these unbiblical sermons and behaviors reveal what these men believe about the Bible being God's inerrant Word.
I’ve pastored for the last 11 years and have never even repeated one single sermon! If I can’t preach it in and through the Spirit then I shut up!!! I was asked at another church to teach on a subject and verse that I had taught on recently. You pray, you trust by faith, you study, you prep and pray then you prepare that specific message for that specific fellowship! Also… stay away from prepared sermon outlines because it will make you lazy. Blessings
@@Kenneth-nVA :) I don't want to misrepresent you, so I have some questions - When you taught at the other church on that same subject- did you change your preparation/points in the sermon? Do you think that was the right or needed thing to do? (if you did change it) - What is wrong with prepared sermon outlines and how do they make us lazy (genuine question brother!) ? Are you referring to outlines that you (i.e a pastor) make personally? Or an outline that is made from a resource (like online or commentary/etc.)? I didn't understand that last part. Thanks!
@@josephgarrett3075 Great questions. It was a few years ago but a pastor friend from another state had asked me to teach on two separate occasions during a time he needed help. I generally will ask about the “ pulse “ of the body and on one of the two we had agreed l would preach on a portion of scripture in Philemon. I had just finished a verse by verse study a year before this…so; he was having certain issues within his congregation and I used a different approach since his fellowship knew a lot more. I use snapshots instead of points. Nothing about the teaching was the same only the trajectory. We had visited Gettysburg on our way up there. By the time we reached his house ( northern Pa) I had changed even more of the teaching reflecting on what I had learned at Gettysburg. In the end ( my point/my conviction) it reflected their position and need and was a completely different sermon . Secondly; I have a rather large library and certain books/commentaries( older ones) will suggest outlines for teaching. Are their outlines helpful? Sure! However, I’ve known some pastor friends who will start with a prepared outline rather than develop it after engaging the text. G. Campbell Morgan once stated that he would read the portion of verses ( verse, chapter, book) quite a few times through before picking up a pen. I honestly believe that starting with another person’s outline with structural ideas, will make one lazy Imho. Of the above pastors, maybe 10% even engage the languages.
Greatly appreciated especially the Gospel message at the end. I've seen this issue regarding his plagiarism all over social media this past week. I am always grateful to learn how to discern these matters. Thank you brother for taking the time to address this. Blessings to you and your family sir. If plagiarism is a crime in the academic world, how much more is it grievous in the pastorate, handling the Holy Scriptures! This plagiarism sounds like what the ARC churches do of sorts, copy one another's sermons. With exception that is it part of their franchise system for pastors to do so.
Dear Justin. I think I've watched almost all of your sermons. Of all of them, this one touched me to my core. You certainly fed this sheep my precious shepherd. Thank you, Justin, and I thank the mighty Lord God for you and putting you in my path and leading me to salvation. Bless you. 🇦🇺❤️🙏😇
"You can't teach what you do not know." (30:28) No truer words, Justin. Sadly, I met a man who told me his gift was Administration, not Teaching, and saw nothing wrong with preaching from a sermons-r-us type of website. Thank you so much for this effort.
Thanks for the video Justin, you are a true hero of the Christian faith. God bless you my dear brother. You , John MacArthur , Paul washer and Voddie Baucham are in my prayers everyday.
Thank you for not being afraid to speak out. The church and its leadership needs to be held accountable. God Bless you for being faithful to God and His Word.
Thank you, Justin. So true about sexual sin, divorce, etc leaving a scar forever. I hope everyone watching paid attention to that part. It's something very difficult to live with.
I just want to cry as I heard a minister say he’s standing on the Word about sexual sin and he’s never been so attacked! It’s so heartbreaking that this world says it’s not sin! Heartbreaking! But I thank you so much for preaching the truth and knowing you’ll be terribly attacked! Sure wish we had more like you! May God bless and protect you! Please keep preaching the truth!🙏🌈✝️
I think the SBC has been struggling for some time with doctrinal and social issues as well as scandals involving sexual predators. The more they become involved with social justice issues the less they will, as a denomination, preach and teach the gospel. This is a problem facing all evangelical believers. Notice that I do not say "christians". Too many unbelievers claim that name and disgrace Yeshua in the process. How much more do we disgrace our King when we fail to stand against these frauds?
Plagiarism is prevalent I think. We left a church 5 years ago because the “pastor” plagiarized every Sunday. He just downloaded sermons off the internet. At first he denied it, then he admitted to it saying “everybody does it”. We found it so disingenuous and ungodly.
@@TheDrummaBen Willow Creek Church (the mega church) use to sell sermon series and churches all over the world would buy them and use them. There's now such a thing called Kingdom Culture dot org ( had to type it out, rather than link) and it's doing the same thing, selling sermons and courses. I could track and connect the sermons my Pastor preached to thousands of other churches doing the exact same message series. It wasn't until a year ago that I heard another Pastor put a name to it, "Sermon Franchise". That's exactly what it is, a franchise. Needless to say, I no longer go to that church.
What’s funny is before the plagiarism part came out, when I first heard the sermon when people where defending his “whisper” and provided the “full transcript” of the sermon, I immediately went “didn’t JD Greer preach that almost exact message?”
Justin! Thank you! I have been back and forth between, am I not being gracious enough/and I being too gracious. You made a wonderful and completely biblical argument and I am so relieved to have landed where I should have been all along. Always appreciate everything you do brother. Praying for you!
All this plagerism reveals that too many regard preaching as a performance. Sermons should not be written by a team like a comedy show or pop song. They certainly shouldn't be sold like essays at a bad univeristy. The idea that we pray that God takes away our responsibility to resist temptation, puts the bame on God for our sin. Even though "the Lord's prayer" says "lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil", it is not God's fault when we follow our own desires and lead ourselves into temptation. No preacher should be suggesting that homosexuality (or any other sin) is an unanswered prayer. The bible is clear that nobody is tempted beyond their ability to resist.
Could you ellaborate on the plagerism of sermons ? If preaching is not our achievement and only done with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, how can we claim plagiarism? It would suggest, we claim the merits and success of the sermon for ourselves. Wouldn’t that be wrong?
@@dimitrikrawtschenko7093 I hope you saw the video. Preaching is not a direct prophesy type message from the Holy Spirit. Yes, scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit but people can be commended for studying, like the Bereans were. If preaching was direct from the Holy Spirit the plagerism would be even worse as men would be claiming to be saying what the Holy Spirit gave them to say (prophesy?) but it wasn't to them originally. Men give sermons, not to be admired for their skill but in humble wish to explain to or inspire others in the faith. A pastor or preacher is encouraged to study scripture and preach doctrine accurately. Men are not told to just say whatever comes to mind, in hope that the Holy Spirit is inspiring them to say the right words. A wise preacher would do so with a sense of responsibility to be honest and respectful to the text and the congregation. What the men in the video did was misrepresent the process by which the words they, in effect, performed to the congregation were come by. They misrepresented their ability to interpret and present scripture to their congregation.
@@dimitrikrawtschenko7093 What these men were doing was not preaching. It was repeating a routine, like an actor. Although we do not praise a person for their sermon, it is expected that a sermon is evidence of a man's ability to understand & explain the inspired scripture. If a man copies what another man said, he is taking credit for the efforts of another and that should make people question his abilty to explain doctrine or how seriously he takes his responsibility as a minister of the word of God.
@@yeoberry Litton recounts the same story as his. This happens on multiple times over multiple sermons. It is pretty clear. Some are word for word. Personally I believe they both get these stories and material from Docent Research and pass it along as their own. For Greer to hold Litton accountable would be to reveal his own plagiarism as well. Which is why we have seen him be pretty quiet outside of saying he gave him permission to use some.
Dear brother: Thank you for clarifying the difference bet "worldly" and "Godly" sorrow and all that you pointed out regarding repentence. So many need to hear this truth. I praise and give all the glory to God our holy Father for your ministry.

My wife and I attended school at the University of Mobile right next to Redemption Church. Thankfully we were faithful members in a Presbyterian Church somewhere else, but so many who we knew were not only members there but extremely active in supporting this man's ministry. I do not doubt he will continue to "minister" and many students will continue to support and defend him. May God bring judgment upon the false shepherds and those who allowed this to continue and raise no alarm. And may God have mercy on those who are in the SBC who have remained faithful.
Greear and Litton are false shepherds like in John 10:1-2. "He who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, THAT MAN is a theif and a robber. But he who enters by the door (Truth of the Word) is the shepherd of the sheep."
@@yeoberry Go find God 🙏😇 Jeremiah 23:1-40 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness. For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right. For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD. And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it? Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house. Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD; Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bible.kingjamesbiblelite
Hello from New Zealand . Mr Peters, I thank you sincerely for all you share. You are a gentleman and have a sincerity about you that is fixed on Christ and Him alone. Your wife is very blessed. Keep sharing please.
Watching video again. I was saved in a SBC where God's Word was the authority and pastors were called and filled with the Spirit of God. Thank you for faithfully, and courageously, exposing the Truth.
These men are not just pastors but leaders of a major denomination. I can't imagine what the pastors under them are teaching if this is what the leaders are teaching.
My church got done with it’s multi-year teaching of Roman’s last year. When we got to Paul’s ending verses where he names various Christians, our pastor preached through another saint’s sermon back in 2014. However, our pastor gave the man credit and, even though he used his same three points, still preached through it the way he preaches. So blessed that our pastor could give our church a great sermon again without sinning!

❤️ incredible presentation tonight of the gospel Justin; thank you so much. After hearing what these men are doing, your gospel presentation felt like being cleansed. Thank you
You did a wonderful job presenting this information. I have been a Southern Baptist all my Christian life. Now I am so sad and disgusted with what is happening in this organization that I feel I no longer want to be part of it. Thank you for addressing these issues and your beautiful presentation of the true gospel.
I had already left the SBC after I found and started hearing good expository preaching elsewhere. I certainly never got good teaching and preaching in my many years at SBC. Thank you Justin for your faithfulness to God’s Word and for exposing the charlatans.
Thank you for info on the SBC. We have moved to a new area and are really struggling to find a new church. There are no reformed options that I can find… small town in north middle TN. There are many Baptist churches but most are a part of the SBC. I just did not feel comfortable joining especially after learning Elevation/S Furtick is a part of it. I’ve been searching for good info on the SBC. Look forward to watching this in full.
@@MommaT1970 There was a Baptist church I attended that was on the NW corner of Nashville. It was actually in a small town. I just loved going to church there! @@yeoberry Oh for goodness sakes. I just found out you're John Carptenter. For everyone reading the comments, John is the guy who defended Mark Driscoll and complained everyone was attacking him. In the late 90's I was pastoring in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, where a Saddle Back church plant had set up. In an interview with the pastor in a significant city newspaper, the pastor admitted that he used Rick Warren's sermons week to week and altered them slightly to "fit his context." That was enough for me having just started in full time ministry to cut all ties with the pragmatic purpose driven hypocrisy. I am hoping that the pushback will be extensively intense to where Greear is removed from his church and Litton is deposed from the presidency and replaced with Mike Stone.
Wow! That’s why I can’t find a real church here that teaches the gospel. I’m looking for fellowship with other Christians who are sharing the word of God in their lives not a community centre. I’ve yet to find it. Now I understand why. God bless and God bless Justin Peters.
Amen to both COMMENTS!!! Very difficult to find a 'BIBLE BELIEVING WORSHIP CENTER TODAY!!!! I have many years of age & Follower of Christ Jesus. I study diligently when I hear a Teaching of the Bible where add to & taken away from The Word of God!!!! There were a late pastor in Maryland who taught the Fullness of the Bible. He told His congregations. " Have a question ask God, because God is the only One who gives DIVINE ANSWER TO HIS WORD SPOKEN BY GOD HIMSELF. He taught the sheep that he does not have all the answers many times. I have that life principle rule in my life daily.
I read Romans 1 all the time. It describes almost exactly what is happening where I live. People choose evolution over God (images of people, birds, animals and reptiles.) Then homosexuality happens, which was relatively recently legalised. The things go from bad to worse and people invent new ways of sinning. In the last couple of years, there has been a massive massacre at a mosque, full-term abortions have been legalised and euthanasia is about to be legalised.

Yes! It strikes me as an arrogance from self-important people.

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
Very well put!

@@yeoberry Can you please provide a timestamp where he slanders Greear?

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I don't want to misrepresent you, so I have some questions
- When you taught at the other church on that same subject- did you change your preparation/points in the sermon? Do you think that was the right or needed thing to do? (if you did change it)
- What is wrong with prepared sermon outlines and how do they make us lazy (genuine question brother!) ?

But I thank you so much for preaching the truth and knowing you’ll be terribly attacked! Sure wish we had more like you! May God bless and protect you! Please keep preaching the truth!🙏🌈✝️
I still don’t understand how Litton became SBC president. That’s like making Bernie Madoff treasury secretary of the USA

@Justin Peters Thank you for once again bringing clarity where false teachers try to bring confusion
Plagiarism is prevalent I think. We left a church 5 years ago because the “pastor” plagiarized every Sunday. He just downloaded sermons off the internet. At first he denied it, then he admitted to it saying “everybody does it”. We found it so disingenuous and ungodly.

Sadly, many main stream churches are using franchise sermons.
Not to mention 'preaching' a watered down , world appeasing, cheap grace message.
Is that true? What do you mean?
“Franchise sermons”. Ugh! 🤦🏻♀️
Also known as "satellite churches".
I must say, I came because of the title but your exhortation to holiness was what I needed to hear the most. Thank You for proclaiming the truth.
@@Payne2view
I agree, these men weren’t preaching; preaching would imply the Holy Spirit was involved.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;
Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

@@doctrinalwatchdog6268 He might be that stupid. Partialism is a common dumb misconception. He is hardly a heavyweight. He shouldn't be teaching, though, as he is unqualified.
Thank you for your clarity and forthrightness on these serious issues Justin. We need more pastors to do the same!
What's tragic is how readily people like Al Mohler and SBC "leaders" accepted Mr. Litton and reject out of hand the many faithful lay people who ring alarm bells over such moral failings. This is a world-appeasing machine in place that has abandoned its divine purpose. Thank you, Pastor Peters, for being faithful to God's Word. Your treasures will be imperishable.
Honestly, I think many of these people have a misguided belief in the 11th commandment more so than being "world-appeasing".
God bless you Pastor Peters. Thanks for your preaching.
Several guys in the SBC are preaching sermons like this. Many are preaching outlines and messages printed off and gotten from Lifeway.
I love that look of satisfaction you have when you call out Greear for his "somewhere in Asia" comment. You got him on that one for sure. Good job!!
My husband was there at the convention. I’m very disappointed with everything that went down this year.
Great 👍 homework and extremely helpful information about what is going on with these 2 men and what they stand for, again Justin a great 👍 job bringing this 👏 to our attention. God bless you and your wife and 🐕 dog's too 🙏. God bless you.
