- The new model railway layout of Italy is really a masterpiece and a work of art in the field of model building. It is located at the so-called “Wonderland of Miniatures” in Germany. Only then, when Pilentum was editing and cutting this UA-cam video, he was able to find the thousands of details. Visitors of this model railroad exhibit will be a little overloaded because every square meter amazing, impressive and loving details. There are hundreds of little stories which a told by the sceneries of the model trains layout. Furthermore, the day and night illumination in Liguria and on the Amalfi Coast is impressive because it is like a light show. I guess, you must have seen this overwhelming scale model exhibit in Germany in person. More information and a lot of photos are available at www.pilentum.de, for free.
Recognized the Amalfi Coast immediately! Wow!
This is incredible. Beautiful detail
The sense of humor in all those details is the best!
Yes, it's very Italian.
Quel travail magnifique et quel réalisme sublime!
Bravo je me suis régalé
This is incredible. Beautiful detail, especially St. Peters and the Colosseum. Unexpected vignettes and wit.
WOW! That is absolutely amazing/stunning. Pinocchio doll is awesome. Whole setup is mind blowing.
Amazing workmanship, beautiful scenes, beautifully filmed. So much more than just a model railroad layout.
The Erupting volcano is awesome!
The level of detail is incredible.
Hands down the BEST, and most detailed model I've ever seen! This video was titled correctly....And who knew Pinocchio's nose could grow so long!
Unbelievably convincing and authentic . A masterpiece
Absolutely amazing!! I applaud all the people who put their hands to work on this art piece.
This train layout is amazing. I have visited Italy three times and really enjoyed the incrediable realism of Italy. Since I am from St. Louis I also liked seeing the European style of the model trains. Thanks!
Flytrap was about the coolest thing I’ve seen on a layout. That was awesome
The attention to detail is outstanding! Beautiful!
Amazing attention to detail, loved the flying fish and other humorous touches, fantastic.
Truly Amazing!....the level of detail is beyond anything I've seen before. What it lacks in acreage, it makes up for in the volume of intricate scenes!
Truly Amazing! Thanks Pilentum and thanks at all wirksmen of Muniatur Wunderland
What an amazing layout the time involved in just the placement of the thousands of people and trees plus buildings,
lighting etc is just mind blowing and an absolute credit to all involved .Well done and take credit for all you have achieved
in constructing this fantastic layout most impressive and totally amazing.Thank you for sharing.
Wow wow wow. Absolutely amazing every brilliant minds. Thank you so much for the video very inspiring. Hope to see more God bless please be safe.
Thanks so much. What a fantastic layout. I'm amazed at the detail in structures, and the thousands of 'people.' The video quality was Excellent+. Everything is awesome. Thanks again.
The volcano, BRILLIANT!
But the way to it wasn't easy, as the two broad lava flows needed much time to make because the preferred kinetic sand looked fine, but didn't work for more than a week or two. Now they use special conveyor chains usually used for transporting bottles in the beverage industry.
Una verdadera obra de arte. El efecto del volcán es maravilloso. Felicitaciones!!
Beautiful!!! Love the Vatican!!!
sono senza parole... questo è un capolavoro! Come un Monet.. come i migliori pittori impressionisti del '900!!!!
Wonderful ...just wonderful. What incredible detailing!
Very INCREDIBLE. A lot of small details for hard to do! NICE job!
There is no words! Fantastic!
I doubt I'm ever going to make it to the actual layout, sigh! But your many leisurely, enjoyable videos are the next best thing. Thank you so much on a wonderful video.
Bravo! Bravo! Mas que virtuosismo impressionante!
Ragazzi miei dire capolavoro semplicemente riduttivo!!
I LOVE IT, BEAUTIFUL!!!
Magnifique réseau et décors .Bravo
Nice realistic speed of the trams and trains.
Wow, not only very realistic scenery but also a dose of humor.
:))
This is awesome 😎!!! Congrats
Wow this amazing.
Excellent detail processing..... ;-)
I'm speachless !
its is very well done...with great passion...stunning...WOW
Amazing workmanship.
LOL I love the Pinocchio scene!
Wow, what an achievement!
Simply amazing.!!
I really like the detailed scenes and the camera work
The scenes are from professional model railroaders. Only the camera work is from Pilentum :-)
It's all been said!👌👌👌
Beautiful layout, would have love seeing running water on those famous fountain with the horses. The volcano was awesome. I forgot to mention that I loved Pinocchio, man his nose grew a mile,he must have been lying his ass off,LOL. Oh and the Vatican was great too.
Very beautiful!

That is beautiful! It's not really a train layout, it's more of an Italy layout. which is a refreshing change. You have some really cool stuff going on.
with some Vatican thrown in for good measure ( Vatican being a seperate nation )
It’s a master piece…….
Ottimo lavoro, comunque.
Bravissimi.
Very nice!
anyone notice the camper at 0:54 top left going over the edge?
Lol I did
Yes
Dan Riddle i do see it
The entire layout is littered with small jokes like these. The best bits will be shown to you when you take the behind-the-scenes-tour - including an orgy-scene in a park, impossible to see from the regular walking paths. ;-)
Obviously a rented camper, because that's what drivers always do after renting a camper.
Superbe,quel travail,joli
AMAZING
Nice rail footage with a lot of great filming .
Thank you.
Wow impressive
Semplicemente incredibile! Chi ha messo pollice in giù ha qualche rotella fuori posto!
AHH!!! How many people and how long did it take to set them up! This is not just excellent . It is a MIRACLE!!!
Magnifique. Cela donne envie de visiter le parc à Hambourg. Il y aurait un plus avec un tour avec caméra embarquée sur le circuit.
Very very nice !
I can't imagine how long this took to build.
Have you seen the carnivorous plant in the botanical garden?
PILENTUM Is this a real, live plant?
KingRCT3 I would have used a real live Venus fly trap, with this scale it would be a monster that devours people rather than insects, maybe put one of the models into it's trap just to emphasise the point!
Incredible
ahahah!!! bellissimo Pinocchio ...
Thanks
Carte magnifico
Some funny scenes:
5:28 ---- There's a "Piranha Planet" (Man-eating planet).
6:54 ---- Pinocchio extending his nose.
35:40 ---- A guy been caught cheating, And he run away…
At 35:40 are you sure it isn't the daughter's tryst being interrupted by the outraged mama?
Amazing details, where does one begin. It was like taking a tour of Italy, Good long takes to reveal the astounding details everywhere. even on each of the thousands of figures. All at an incredibly small scale. I think it would be interesesting to get some human size comparisons along the way, a hand, foot or figure, just to encompass the tremendous details.
The model makers were sent on an Italy tour, so they could experience the country.
Don't you love Pinnocios nose. An Italian washing line. All scenes in this masterpiece are superb !. When and who built this coastline scenario ?. Sunday morning In Amalfi !!. Moto bien. Dave
It would be great if this could be viewed by using your rail mounted Sony!
The monster fiat was classic. Wow awesome layout you must be very satisfied? So whats next on the drawing board. Perhaps a layout of the North American Rocky Mountains. Set in the 30s. Keep up the great work its inspiring.........
Monaco and the Provence will be finished in the next months, South America will follow.
o brasil te assiste!
Please, take a look at the car repair workshop :-)
A wonderful sense of humor from 9:36 to10:29 with the transformation of the "Tiny Fiat" to the "Hulk Fiat". LOL!
I wonder if that bus hanging over the edge is a homage to the original 'Italian Job'.
Presumably it is like this.
Unbelieveable! Where is this layout located?
Hamburg, Germany. The Miniatur Wunderland is not only world's largest model railway, but also contains world's largest model airport.
Super super
klasse
Please tell us what scale is this incredible layout?
1:87
Perché i pantografi non strusciano sui cavi?
Grave errore, in H0.
Io lo faccio in N.
Makes me think of Upper Sorrento...
Why do the electric locomotives run with their pantographs in the down position? I mean the detail of the catenary work is just amazing on this.
What's up with the bus running off the road at 0:54 ?
If you could delete the background voices/noises and replace with scenes realistic sounds, I'd think this layout was the real deal! Wow.
Where is the trains
It is Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg
Sorry:)
Can anyone calculate the hours and money that went into this beautiful world? Bravissimo!!!
Hours and money are written on Miniature Wonderland's website.
wow on s'y croirait
Would look more convincing if the electric locos pantographs were raised and touched the catenary wire.
Amazing stuff! Looks like they find an excuse to put some police-car or boat with blue flashing lights just about everywhere! I guess it's a German thing ;)
I think they did that because of the lighting effects. In the dark it looks overwhelming.
eccezionale
... anche le coppie nei cespugli.... un tocco di hard non fa male...
Incredible detail in these scenes, but we never get to see the whole layout! That's my chief complaint about this and other similar videos. These fragments could be of a hundred different layouts in a hundred different places.
In a model railway exhibition, I can rarely film the entire layout. There are always people standing beside the layout. Therefore, I have to consider the personal rights (privacy) of each person. Do you know, what I mean?
I understand the problem, but perhaps - knowing that they will get publicity on UA-cam - they would let you in ahead of the crowds. I also understand that it might be impossible to find a vantage point to capture a major part of the layout.
Just visit the Miniatur Wunderland and you can see the whole layout. ;-)
0:30 and 0:54 Italian Job homage......
now I have a cold because I didn't get my mouth closed again
I think it be better if the cars and truck would around the city
🌹👍👍👌👌😁😊
Weather tear, rust, dust, dirt, cracks, broken windows, rotten wood, weed, etc is totally missing everywhere!
👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😁🌹
Ok the Vatican was amazing
lol yes
