    Stumbled across your channel while looking for Stormtrooper advices and boy was I glad I did. Like many others you saved me from blowing a bundle on those sellers you had warned us about. Subscribed and glad I did seeing as how much effort you put in guiding us noobs about doing our own armor. Thanks a lot. You sure deserved more subs and views. I'll make sure to mention your channel whenever I have the chance.

    Thank you for this great advice! I didn't find your channel until i'd almost completed my armour, but just replaced most of the velcro on my Anovos armour with elastic straps and snap fasteners and it's so much more solid and easy to put on! I was able to find equivalent materials on Amazon here in Canada for $30.

    Richie, Thank you for posting this. I am following this to the T. So far it is going together very well. First test fit once the e6000 dries.

    It’s what I use. I secure some spots with gorilla tape to keep them fastened though.

      What type of strapping have you got at the moment?

    • @DataCentre007
      @DataCentre007 4 роки тому

      Richie Stormtrooper I have the strapping system that comes with the ANOVOS kit. Basically its all just velcro front and back.

    • @RichieStormtrooper
      @RichieStormtrooper  4 роки тому

      @@DataCentre007 I'm not familiar with it and industrial strength velcro can work wonders for certain things but I've not yet seen a reliable velcro system for a stormtrooper. I'm sure it would be worth your while replacing it with some good snaps and elastic. Let us know how you get along.

      Richie Stormtrooper basically it’s the same idea but with velcro. But if you take it apart you have to find the right spots to strap it back up again. Your way seems like a much easier way. I may do that down the road. Just finished mine and awaiting 501st approval.

    Hi i was wondering if you could tell what size the small flat head screws that are showing on the outside of the chest, abdomen, and everywhere else on your stormtrooper build? So i can have the more movie detailed look.

    Hi Richie. Came across your video. Could you provide me with the link and/or the name and manufacturer of the tool you used for securing the metal snaps please. I've been using the more manual method and having a complete mare with it. Thanks!!

    Hi Richie what kind of box do you use to storage your stormtrooper costume ? Could you make a video about that and show US how to properly keep the armor when not trooping please

    Did you cut your chest piece from your abdomen piece? All the kits I see are one solid chest/abdomen piece. Including Walts Trooper Factory and RS Propmasters. What kit is this?

    • @RichieStormtrooper
      @RichieStormtrooper  3 роки тому

      There are no kits as you describe.

      I just use eBay and Google Shopping search.
      Pretty much all the stuff I use is from Prym, as I say in the video. The press studs are "camping" heavy duty type as opposed to "anorak" and the strapping is all "strong" "elastic band".
      I'll dig some Amazon affiliate links out and add them to the description but those key words should get you to what you need for now.

      The old tutorials Tony Barnett did are still great for this type of strapping. He lists all the stuff I use.
