Returning back home after another contract. That's exactly what i have been looking for. When you're a seafarer you have to get used to the absolute silence at home.
This is really comparable to sleeping in a bunk house on a rig location, floor motors and pump motors just running full spool in the background. Thank you
Only noise no in this one was the dutch engineer banging on your cabin door so you would go back to the fish frezzing plant for your next shift, thankyou , oh and the engine slowing and picking back up again when they hauled in the cod end , mabey the odd fart and burp but I was back at sea tonight.
So one should expect that such sound background makes ship engineers sleepy. If so then I could only agree. However the hum of plane turbines doesn't calm me down.
I want an ASMR with lights!! please make one that lights such as airplane panel or nuclear control room light panels that flashes and blinks randomly????? Im looking for it!
My power went out a few months ago so this was a godsend for me to help me sleep. What made it even better was I kept hearing Madona's song "Into the Groove" faintly in the background. So I imagined someone working down there listing to music.
Like it, probably the thought of always having a ear out there. Now add a couple pings and see how many people jump up out of bed and call out " oh hell, what now" 😁
Nice sound! Though you have not offered hardly any stats on ship name, make of diesel, cyinders, etc. or even . KW output. This is not very nice towards maritime enthusiasts!
It sounds nice but not the same as a steam turbine. Also, for what it is worth, that engine room is on a ship, not a boat. You are right about the ships engines putting you to sleep. If there is an unplanned speed change though, it will wake you up.

There's something like a faint bell or bleep in the background that you have as the part of the loop. It becomes EXTREMELY annoying after a while - stops me from falling asleep, because after a while that's all I home in into. You should clean up the sound better. Not the first time a perfect white noise is ruined by this sort of crap. Disliked.

This reminds me of the $15 ferry rides to the Greek islands in the 90's! I always took my sleeping bag closest to the engine room!

Yep i know what you mean. Sometimes at Night when you wake up and want jump into your clothes and realise that you are already at home, you need this.

i just noticed that too and ive listened to this like 4- 5 times
No wonder when I was an Engineer on a Dredge long ago ,I could hardly stay awake on the graveyard shift
