Hello, I hope you are having a cheerful week! I have had two busy days, one was filming for UA-cam and the other was hosting virtual sew dates. I just want you to know that I enjoy your content very much and love to sit with my hand quilting and watch. Thank you for sharing your time and talent.

I use Evernote as well to catalog both my patterns and sewing makes. Love your cabinet storage.

Thank you for this video, I love seeing how others organize patterns. Your cabinet is beautiful! I use an App for digital pattern organization that I love, especially when I head to Joann’s so that I don’t accidentally purchase a pattern I already have.

Hi Tiffany, you're very welcome! Thanks so much for watching. Which app do you use?

Great video!!! I already use Evernote for other notes. I will adopt that part of your system as I like the idea of having my catalog with me. Again, thank you!

What a wonderful cabinet. I keep mine in some pattern boxes. I hope one day to put them in a chest of drawers. II like what you have done on your computer set up. I try to take photos front and back for my phone. TFS

Thanks! I still can't believe how lucky I got with this cabinet. I think a chest of drawers would work out wonderfully. 😊

Thanks for your video, enjoyed seeing your system. I use a pattern catalog I purchased from the Apple store, which I enjoy. Like you stated it’s a lot of work and time to get them entered, but so rewarding and has kept me from buying patterns I already have. I love your vintage pattern cabinet, I couldn’t find what I wanted so I built a cabinet that holds patterns on the top and fabric below. I wanted a cabinet that was similar to what is at the fabric store. Thanks again for your videos.

Hi there, your cabinet sounds just perfect! I'll have to check out the pattern catalog from Apple, is it an app? Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad you are finding the videos helpful!

@@JustMeAndMyFabric Yes it is, I believe it’s called sewing patterns or patterns. The icon is in blue of a sewing machine. I had too many patterns for the free version. I categorized my patterns similar to your Evernote and can ‘shop’ my patterns that way.

Great information. I don't have many patterns yet, mostly pdf so far. I am trying to figure out the best way for me to organize them.

Hmm, PDFs are such a new thing for me and I can't offer too much help at this point. I do store the actual PDF files on our external hard drive here at the house, sorted by folders with each brand's name. As for the printed papers, the only one I've done so far (the Shelby), I ended up folding and putting into a manilla file folder. I'm hoping that when i want to make the pattern again, the creases will iron out.

I print out a pic of the “front” of the pattern with the different views and the page with the measurements and fabric requirements for making my pattern folders, which I physically store in plastic envelope ✉️ bags that snap. I’ve got them saved on my hard drive and will use the pics to add to Trello…little by little.
