In mutual funds, star ratings are highly overrated, resulting in investors making wrong decisions.
Wall Street Journal conducted a study by taking 5 star rated mutual funds from 2004 and examining how they perform after 10 years. 37% had lost one star 10 years later. But 31% lost two stars, 14% dropped three, and 3% lost four.
Only 58, or 14%, of the 403 funds that had five stars in July 2004 carried the same rating through July 2014, Morningstar says.

Fund size reduce cheyandi
First of all u should not hold these many funds..restrict ur self to 3 funds..so here merge 1&2&7 keep sbi small cap, generally they wont allow lumpsum..in that case keep canara smallcap remove sbi. remove infra, consumption funds..those are thematic funds..those are risky if u don't have skill..as a general rule small cap should allocate less ..small cap will give returns but the way it fall damage ur confidence.. so reduce smallcap allocation.. finally u left with three..
