- In this video I unbox, review, and test The Dremel Flex Shaft 225 01. I show how to hook it up to the Dremel and demonstrate how it works. I use the Nylon Bristle Brush to clean up a cresent wrench. This tool is great for intricate work and hard to reach spaces.

I’m so glad for videos like yours because I get so lost with manuals. This is my first dremel. I’m a resin artist and refining the finished product takes much grinding and sanding. This is making my job so much less stressful.
Also, yes, whacky packaging, great product.
Very easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 disassemble and wash. I had a juicer before and remember how much work was to wash it and how little juice I got for this. So, I was sceptical and that's why I did a good amount of research so I don't get disappointed again. So, I picked the Hamilton-Beach 67608A model and I am glad I did. Now, this is a totally different experience! It is powerful and squeezes every ounce of juice so the pulp is almost dry. It's simple and easy to take it apart for washing. I put a plastic bag in the waste container for less cleaning. I am glad I picked this model as it is smaller in size, but delivers the same power as the larger one.
Thank you thank you thank you. I almost burned out my dremel by over tightening the flexi shaft onto the dremel. Your video saved my bacon.
The best video explaining how to install the flex shaft and how to use it!! Thanks!!
Really clear and helpful. I couldn't make it because I left the collet stay inside. Thanks to your video, I now can install it. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. I'm just getting in to power carving and have obtained both a model 3000 dremel and this 225-01 flex shaft tool. This will be helpful in combining these tools to accomplish my carving. Much appreciated!
I've had the dremel for a long time but never had the knowledge nor need to use the flex shaft which came with the dremel. Great video, many thanks!
Thanks for watching, I am glad the video helped!
Thanks very much for your video, just brought a dremel and instructions aren't the greatest . Saved a lot of time.
thank you for clear and concise explanations!
The instructions you showed said that the Dremel rotary tool (4000) should be HIGHER than the flex shaft or they may disengage during use.
It should be about the same height that you are working on watch this,,,,,,,,,,,, ua-cam.com/video/hon3HFqt5Mg/v-deo.html
You should of showed the 2min vertical method as well
Good and simple, Thank you.
Thank you Todd. Helpful video!
Appreciated, very clear
Thanks for watching, I am glad the video was helpful!
I got one of these yesterday for practically free because it somehow rang up as a bottle of fabric softener for $8 so i didnt have to buy it for $35 lol
Most awesome graphics ever!
Hi Jeff, I appriciate that! Going for an 80's vibe! Thanks for watching the video, hope it was helpful!
Thank you
Excellent
Thank you
Thanks Todd
Brilliant, regards from N.Z
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Hi I have a question there’s a burning or fume smell coming from my dremel that I’ve barely used.i was told it could be the problem of the brushes which I have no clue what it is and how to replace them. Or is it some other malfunctioning parts that is causing this problem
I find it hard to take out the 1/8" collet after it's been in the dremel flex shaft. Any advice on that?
The Flexi shaft! 😀
That's what I call mine now ,Ha ha
Thx for posting, now I know. I wonder if it's necessary to hang your Dremel from a vertical position when using flex shaft?
Hi thanks for watching, I think that is a preference if you can. Thanks again!
ua-cam.com/video/hon3HFqt5Mg/v-deo.html
It is highly preferable and suggested in the manual. Get the dremel rotary tool work station, it's awesome and you can hang the dremel tool from the top and attach your flex shaft to work with.
Hi there.I was hoping you would run it awhile, as flexishaft tends to run hot, I greased it and wiped off excess, but it still runs hot, any comments please. I live in Scotland. Your vid was very interesting!!!
Michael
Hi Michael, Thanks for watching, glad you liked the video! I haven't run it for a long period of time so I'm not sure. Thanks again for watching!
Hang it vertically when in use, this will help
would this fit on a drill ?
K, i have a 4000 and want the wand but how doe sone hang it in the air? the work station shows it hanging by a electrical tapped metal bar. 80 bucks for stand seem high for just finding a piece of metal and shoving it into the top hole to hang the dremel. Any suggestions?
Hello 👋
Can this shaft attach with the rotary tool from harbor freight?
Anyone think using the flex shaft puts extra stress on the dremel?
Does it work with other multitools or it's only for dremel?
Hi Sir Kay, thanks for watching a lot of my Dremel videos! This one is just for Dremel.
Yes you can use it will other multi-tools. I have a Ryobi multi-tool with a Dremel flex shaft
@@ToddsGarage Incorrect. The tool outlined can also be used on any Milwaukee rotary tool. You are too locked into Dremel. :)
What's with the rubber gloves? 🤣
Maybe he has Megan Fox thumbs
I wear gloves too when i have to open that scary ass plastic
It’s the new hot thing. Seems everyone does it for everything. 🤣🤣
I use rubber gloves cause i hate certain textures and i dont need them getting dirty and spreading everywhere i touch.

Hello :) Does this shaft fix the 4300 ?
Hello and thanks for watching! The Dremel Flex Shaft 225-01 does fit the Dremel 4300.
Is the collet supposed to rotate with the bit? I had a few problems where the Flemish shaft wasn’t rotating, it now is but I’m a bit nervous especially since the square collet didn’t seem to screw in very far?

I wish my Dremel 3000 had come with instructions, none in the box.
Hi Peter, Thanks for watching! I would reach out to Dremel. They may be able to provide you with one, or a digital download. Hopefully they can help. Thanks again for watching!
Do we have to wear gloves while doing it ?
will this work for the dremel 200?
Hi and thanks for watching. I am not sure but if you go to their website and search out this attachment they will list what Dremel models it works with. Thanks again for watching and good luck!
👌👌👌😎😊
Wtf? Why would I read the manual when I can just watch you tube?
Thanks for watching. I hope you liked the video but I always believe it's a good idea to read the owners manual on an item before you use it.
Be sure to wear those gloves!
Do you know if this will fit my Stylus?
I'm wondering if it's just me that has this situation I'm about to describe happen to them. I can't be the only one. So I turn on my Dremel with the wire bit. Few seconds in I feel the first wire hit me. No big deal, I say, it's just one and it didn't hurt too much, just thug it out. After the 4 or 5 I'm like fuck that that shit hitting my face and it hurts. I go grab my face shield and feel like check mate Dremel. I turn it one and Bamn! Out of nowhere they're hitting my neck now! Wtf they wasn't just a bit now wtf. So I'm thinking like just move from you spot to a different angle and it'll just fly pass me. The Dremel must have read my thought because Bamn! It redirected it's next projectile to hit me in the neck. I give you, you win Dremel haha
