Imagine that you are a Viking. You are among the brave, adventurous raiders and traders sailing the northern European seas. Your home is a large ship subject to the whims of Mother Nature - scathing winds and gnarly waves toss it up, down, and all around. Plus, you’re stuck with lots of other Vikings for long stretches of time. Certainly a life for only the most courageous and fearless.
Our replica Viking ship, Berserker, doesn’t need a sail and isn’t dependent on the wind and waves, but its passengers need the same courage and fortitude as the Vikings had. This vessel swings back and forth in a pendulum motion, gaining speed and altitude with each cycle. Eventually, it reaches the top of the 360-degree loop and pauses, suspending riders upside down for a breathless moment before completing its rotation. The swinging continues until gravity runs its course and you’re on shore again.

This and those Tasmanian devil rides dont look that fast but when you are on them, they surprise you. I think I got more belly flops from these than actual rollercoasters.
I wish Busch Gardens Tampa would reopen Phoenix already. These type of swinging ships are so much fun and way better than the ordinary ones you find at carnivals.

I got on this last year. When I was at the very top just sitting upside down, I was holding on to the restraints for my life
I lived In the county next to this park and this was by far the scariest thing to ride out of the Simple fact it always had a seat that wouldn’t lock

I loved this ride as a kid! Was curious if it was still running. I haven’t been to King’s Dominion since about 2001 I wanna say.

From safety and physics perspective, it's very scary
I love roller coasters and any theme park or carnival ride I've ever been on but this ride had me ballin when I went on it for the first and last time as a teenager some 15 years ago. Didn't it used to completely stop upside down? Or has my memory just been trying to give me some justification for crying all these years? 😄
They don’t control when the ride flips upside down they just control the acceleration so sometimes it gets stuck for a few seconds, sometimes it doesn’t.
depends on what the operator does because they can only control it when its touching the ground
This is the last one in the United States we should be riding this as much as possible, while we still can! Sad😢
Hopefully they'll keep it a few more years at least.

Go on all the rides at Busch gardens Williamsburg. You'll see how much better they are to this coaster. This one I think people should go on first if they've never been on any roller coaster ever. Then go on a roller coaster (not the wooden ones) and you'll see that the coasters aren't so bad. I use to be scared of them when I was a kid. Went to Busch gardens Williamsburg as a kid, as a 28 year old woman not anymore ❤️😂
BOY ! that thing can turn a Full 360° !! I wouldnt touch that thing with a 100 ft poll !! That thing is just as bad as a coaster ! 🎢🎢
@user-dt6yu2zp7o I went on almost every ride and one ride a bunch of times in a row like the gryffon at Busch gardens. Plus others. I'll take those over this one lol. These are fun for people I'm sure but just gimmick rides to prepare you for the bigger ones.

i use to be so scared of this ride but last oct my friend came up with a way to get me on it. it was oct and halloween. she dared me to wear one of her outfits and go on it, ( outfit was her leather leggings , a silk top , her leather jacket and a pair of her leather boots ) so wearing her outfit i walked up to ride and got on. i pulled the shoulder bar down and then the lap bar locked me in. no turning back now. i was scared. friend said look at me wearing her clothes. i laughed and did the ride.

No way. Even as a child I would be wary of this. Some other users here said they wouldnt ride it as adults, I dont blame them. I have a busty friend who refuses these rides and Im with her on this. Everything is all fun and gamed until something happens.
