  • NOT-SO USELESS BAY
Located in the Strait of Magellan lies a body of water called Bahía Inútil, “Useless Bay” in English. Though this bay is hard to access due to strong winds, lack of shelter, and difficult passage (hence its name), this bay is far from useless. It serves as a biological refuge for a multitude of species, including the only colony of King Penguins on the South American continent!
Our offspring org Rewilding Chile is conducting marine expeditions to explore Chilean Patagonia's incredible marine biodiversity. Follow along and join the team, led by Ingrid Espinoza, Conservation Director of Rewilding Chile, aboard their last adventure in the Strait of Magellan.
