Child of Hope Namalu Christmas Party 2023

We hope you enjoy seeing the Child of Hope pupils and their families in Karamoja enjoying their Christmas party!
Huge thanks to the COH staff and secondary students from the Mbale schools, who travelled the long journey to Namalu to help prepare and serve the food. These amazing kids never usually get to eat meat, let alone massive platefuls of food like this! Near the end of the video, you can see the children receiving food parcels to take home, as well as dancing with their bars of soap!

This is why we give the children at Child of Hope an education they otherwise could not afford - to help them gain qualifications and a better chance to lift themselves out of poverty and into work when they are older. They live in an area of extreme poverty (they have even been known to resort to eating leaves due to lack of food) so this food, and the food parcels we send them home with, are vital. Child of Hope Uganda is a charity which has set up free schools in Northern and Eastern Uganda for children living in abject poverty.
