I'm so thankful you had Ryan in the last couple months worth of videos. I've been watching every one. While he might not be here any more - it's clear to tell that he had an AMAZING last couple months - fishing, friendship, and family. It's great that these memories are recorded. We will miss you dude!
Going back a bit but this is a great vid. I think i've watched it 2 or 3 times now. went out today and was getting skunked. i remembered your ned rig tips. wish i had one with me. so i made my own, not pretty but between a bent worm hook and nail weight had it going and back to catching fish!! Thanks Gene!!
For finesse I love a medium lite spinning rod with a 3000 size spinning reel or less with 8-10lb braid with same fluoro leader. Usually it will be a ned rig or a 3inch yum or similar stick bait and sometimes on a 1/0 or 1 worm hook and do it weightless. And man the amount of bass you can catch on light tackle vs standard tackle is amazing.
My go to is a jackall flick shake and 1/8 jackall flick head. Get it to the bottom and shake your slack and watch your line swim slowly away. Great vid keep it up!
ok. Next week when i got to bass pro shop im picking up zoom cotton candy and zoom watermelon Fish Doctor and Centiepede for 2 reasons. 1. because of you guys and 2. the reviews said that the baits are really good Texas Rigged finesse french fry bait. so im picking those up thanks to you guys i now know that finesse fishing means to slow down small baits. thank fluke master for this vid
I don't know what it is but I just love to finesse fish, finesse jigs, I absolutely love the ned rig. Its the first bait throw at a new body or just in general, and I've started to fish a shaky head and I just absolutely love finesse fishing
Shawn Leonard what size Kahle hooks do you use for wacky rigging, if you don't mind me asking. Getting tired of the "wacky" hooks that are just finesse hooks in the end. They snag up terrible and the hookup ratio is not great by any means.
1 or 1/0. I don't wacky rig a ton. I go to the ned rig before the wacky if the bite is tough. Best results with the zman trd. Just my opinion. Gene and Ryan would know better than I.
Shawn Leonard thanks man!! I'll give it a shot! I don't do wacky rigging a lot either, usually just a follow up bait. But I'm dying to give the TRD a try. Take care and good luck this season!
Really great job guy. Your videos help me so much because I know I have been working the finesse baits to fast. I don't catch anything so then I am trying something else. Thanks again.
Got my first Shakey Head fish a few days ago...5 pounds even! Creature bait dipped in JJ's. I had just watched your video on Shakey Heads right before I headed out the door so thanks. See you really are teaching people to fish!
Dude wipes indeed..... 😂 You guys are hilarious! Thanks for the great finesse tips. You two make a great team and the educational factor has most definitely increased.
Welcome back guys, good video again. Love a shaky head, probably my fave finesse technique. I even use it for small swimbait, i take a 3/16oz shaky head, screw in a kvd swim n shiner, hide the point of the hook in recessed slot, 8lbs fluoro, med spinning rod and just reel in slowly...walleyes love it too... but so does northerners which can be a bitch :)
I fail out of a John boat in lake Jackson 😂🤣 I was trying to tie off too the bridge and the boat pushed out from underneath me. Thankfully I was with a buddy and he pulled me back in. It was November I think, I just remember I was cold the rest of the evening, it sucked lol
nice catches guys. I have to say I don't do well with Shakey heads, but I love a finesse jig.. Maybe I'll try fishing the Shakey head different. thanks.
Coming out of michigan I can tell ya that "Turd" bait is the ticket. Everything eats that. Another tough day kicker is the fluke! Nose hook with a circle hook or use the normal offset hook set up, but fish it like a jerk bait, slow, and watch your line for the pick up! Those have been lifesavers this year in a weird weather spring in Southern Michigan.
Flukemaster you rock! This is tumbleweed from Baltimore Maryland u should fish Prettyboy reservoir with me lots of Smallies deep clear reservoir if u are ever in Maryland look me up
No problem my sister in law lives just North of Atlanta and she told us how bad it was down there, maybe you guys can do some kind of charity fishing event as a relief effort. I know a lot of people probably lost their homes with the tornadoes and floods
Flukemaster as a bank fisherman, what would you recommend I use as a search bait? I feel like throwing a finesse bait (well I guess a 'traditional' finesse bait, such as a soft plastic) is really slow without having a fishfinder to locate the fish in the first place. I was thinking something along the lines of a small spinnerbait or paddle tail swimbait/fluke.
Fearthelettuce you can cover a small pond with a t-rigged anything. swim jigs are great in moss -- you don't spend half your time cleaning crap off treble hooks, and you get a skirt and a paddle tail both providing some pulse.
Fearthelettuce I found top water worked best for me... Dean Rojas bronze eye frog black belly or white belly...lucky craft sammi in Carolina shell color...just walk the baits...the blow ups on top water get you really pumped
I wish you would have gone into a bit more detail on the Kahle hook for wacky stick work rigs. I'm not a fan of circle hooks. What makes that Kahle hook better? Still use an o-ring? Where part of the hook shank is the worm rigged (nearer the eye or barb)?
i live on chickamauga and in early spring i always look for carp, because if they are there i usually catch 4-7 lb bass on plastics or squarebill crankbaits. it tells me the warmer areas.
@ 19:20 in the video Flukemaster makes a TRD rig. Hey Flukemaster are you one of those guys that doesn't care if they sh*t there pants because the wife does the laundry? ;) :P I know I don't care because my wife does the laundry.
I think that I may have seen you at chester frost running threw in your Georgia red allweld while I fished the battle of chickamauga kayak tournament. Your not kidding about presured fish I had 3 days of awsome fishing then came day 4 the tournament day and they shut completely off first thing. I changed my tactics to a fenesed pattern with a fluke 1/4 scrounger (painfully slow)and a foot ball head craw. I slowed it down so slow with the 3/8 football head that i sun burned on the left side of my body. I ended up doing fairly well but it thew me for a loop and made me scramble the rest of the tournament but boy what a day.
so ryan, why in the story you where telling us about how you where working a full sized jig really slowly, what was your reasoning for doing that over dropping down to a finesse jig? I mean obviously it worked for you but I'm just curious as to why to decided to do that over dropping down a size?
I'm so thankful you had Ryan in the last couple months worth of videos. I've been watching every one. While he might not be here any more - it's clear to tell that he had an AMAZING last couple months - fishing, friendship, and family. It's great that these memories are recorded. Omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's amazing! Thanks for including that air biscuit at the end. That made my day again!
I've started using a Ned rig this spring, it's truly the real deal. Thanks for showing this set up Gene.
RIP Ryan. the chemistry you guys had is epic.
He died?
@@joegrande4848 apparently. Drug overdose. He's got a video about it.
@@joegrande4848 yes. Heroin addiction
You all crack me up! I learn & laugh at your videos! Fun Fishing!

That definitely sounded like it was going to itch when it dried! 😂You guys make a great team, keep it up!!
Good to see you both back, creating quality content and entertainment
My go to is a jackall flick shake and 1/8 jackall flick head. Get it to the bottom and shake your slack and watch your line swim slowly away. Great vid keep it up!
Listen closely at 19:22 !! you just might learn somethin!!
hahaha indeed it did
I learn more from you every time I watch one of your videos, keep up the great work.
Like the ending. When you have the only mic , it's yours lol. Great episode. Great team. Really like Ryan with you.
I'm actually learning from you unlike other people that just promote lures to go buy
Y'all just having too much fun. The ending cracked me up cause I've done the same thing to my boys while in the boat
Great video guys! It was great talking to y'all at the KBF NC.

Great job fellas. I'm glad you pointed out the Kahle vs circle hooks. Couldn't agree more.

I believe gene has a video dedicated to the ned rig. It's worth checking out. Have a great season!
Really great job guy. Your videos help me so much because I know I have been working the finesse baits to fast. I don't catch anything so then I am trying something else.
Thanks again.
Nice video you guys for sure. Keep up the good work. And I am liking the duo for sure.
OMG.... That was so funny! The best part was Gene try to pull it off like nothing happened! Poor Ryan. Great video guys and great bass Gene!
Nothing beats a great fishing buddy. F.I.P. ( #FishInPeace ) Ryan

Not sure Dude wipes are big enough or THICK enough for that one... lolol
hey fluke, you have the best intro love your video! very very informative! i learn a lot of ya!
That’s good information and very true. I catch a lot of spring time bass on a small crappie crank bait.
Great knowledge dropping as always fellas!
And dropping the farts, hahaha. Too much fun guys. Nah, no such thing!
Welcome back guys, good video again. Love a shaky head, probably my fave finesse technique. Definitely enjoyed this lesson and video guys. Keep it up
+Hoang Thanks man
awesome awesome awesome vid guys! and the end was pure entertainment lolololol.
19:23
great video for finesse, i fish chickamauga lake all the time, sometimes you just have to finesse it
One of my favorites up in Ohio are the finesse swimbaits like a small storm 360 searchbait
Love the tips Fluke, although I still have a while before the season opens up in Minnesota.
Great video! Thanks guys!
I fail out of a John boat in lake Jackson 😂🤣 I was trying to tie off too the bridge and the boat pushed out from underneath me. Thankfully I was with a buddy and he pulled me back in. It was November I think, I just remember I was cold the rest of the evening, it sucked lol

Gene, Ryan
Great Tips as always way to get on the Hawgs, it was good seeing y’all in Paris Tn.
Great video as always Fluke!!!!
Most informative finesse video I've seen.
I do love the shaky head. The Ned rig is kinda a finesse shady head. Which is super finesse. hahaha
The silver and black RAPALA Original Floater will always be the most legendary lure ever
Such a great shirt. Ordered mine a few weeks back, cant wait to get it! Great video as always. Damn shame about Ryan.
new to the channel.. so far so good

match the hatch,17:51 fishing is fun no matter how many you have caught.
Lmao, you guys are nuts! Must be quite the fishing trip with you two.
That ending had me rolling! Lol
The only reason I liked this video was that hilarious fart at the end! LOL
Oh and for that MASSIVE bass! :-P
caught my first bass on the kvd 1.0 sexy shad!! love that bait
Fluke, you should do a video on eye wear. The sunglasses you have on in this video are awesome.
My favorite thing to get finessy with is a 5in senko
Have you ever fished Sinclair in Milledgeville?
that's the hardest part for me, remember to SLOW DOWN. Nice fish, both of you.
I like your channel man
This was great
Good video man... been working on some fishing content myself haha
Starting it off with a War Mouth lol Nice!
hey Gene, I love your alumacraft, what's the model and setup you have. you did a kayak vid how about your boat setup. love all you vids.
Flukemaster you rock! This is tumbleweed from Baltimore Maryland u should fish Prettyboy reservoir with me lots of Smallies deep clear reservoir if u are ever in Maryland look me up
Hi, I live in Brazil. Excellent video.
Which 13 Fishing Rod Indicates For Finesse Fishing With Sensitivity?
talk about weather changes you guys are getting hammered right now. stay safe GA folks
It was pretty bad. We have had a lot of rain lately and the ground around here can't hold anymore water. We are doing fine though. Thanks man.
No problem my sister in law lives just North of Atlanta and she told us how bad it was down there, maybe you guys can do some kind of charity fishing event as a relief effort. I know a lot of people probably lost their homes with the tornadoes and floods

Fearthelettuce anything that moves man. chatterbait is my favorite.
Chatterbaits almost always produce for me at small ponds and lakes. White with a small paddle tail gets them every time.
I like to use a swim bait with a belly weighted swim bait hook. Very weed less bait strike king swimmin caffeine shad or swimmin shad
Damn tht first hog of the video tho😳 lol ! Awesome video man
Looks like views counts are going up. Good to see!
i see you both had the blue colored glasses, what glasses are they and why the blue mirror style.. do they work over prescription glasses
yes you can get them rx..
I wish you would have gone into a bit more detail on the Kahle hook for wacky stick work rigs. I'm not a fan of circle hooks. What makes that Kahle hook better? Still use an o-ring? Where part of the hook shank is the worm rigged (nearer the eye or barb)?
First time I ever cried laughing watching a fishing video 😂😂😂
Good Video!!
Great vid, left a sub =D
RYAN - Where did you find that "FISHING THINGS" shirt?
Michael Miers yes!
Fishing Shirt of the Month booth at the Bassmaster Classic
ahh i didnt see it. i wouldve bought if i had seen it. then again there was soooo much to see at the expo
Will they be available through the website?
Ya, I wanted one of those shirts too but was not at the Classic. I really want one.
Awesome!!
do spawning/jumping carps scare off the bass in that area? ive never had any luck when alot of carps are close to the bank
Kevin I don't know but it makes it hard for me too at least
i live on chickamauga and in early spring i always look for carp, because if they are there i usually catch 4-7 lb bass on plastics or squarebill crankbaits. it tells me the warmer areas.
Gotta admit I was hoping you would finish this by whipping out 4'8" ultralights and tying on some sliders.
That thumbnail definitely had me...
@ 19:20 in the video Flukemaster makes a TRD rig.
Hey Flukemaster are you one of those guys that doesn't care if they sh*t there pants because the wife does the laundry? ;) :P I know I don't care because my wife does the laundry.
Do you still use Izorline XXX? You mention flouro and mono a lot, but not copolymer any more.
what size braid are you using with that ned rig?
Could I use one rod and reel setup for all those finesse baits?
Was this on lake Chickamauga
Do you use a liter for you're frogging setup
what are the top 5 things you do to pin point fish on a new lake or flowage?
Have you had luck catching walleye with the Ned rig at all?
Yes I have. I caught several of them on Erie last year
I think that I may have seen you at chester frost running threw in your Georgia red allweld while I fished the battle of chickamauga kayak tournament. Your not kidding about presured fish I had 3 days of awsome fishing then came day 4 the tournament day and they shut completely off first thing. what type of hook do you throw the NED rig on?
If you can tell me where I can get one of those "Fishing Things" shirts that Ryan is wearing, I will sub right now.
Would you throw a crankbait on a medium power fast action rod?
Brenny Hedderman lipless, squarebills, and shallow divers
Bryan Devereaux Thanks
What do you fish your KVD 1.5s on, rod wise?
TKP Fishing medium power fast action baitcaster, 6 speed reel (my opinion some say 7 speed, some say 5 speed) 10lb, 12lb, or 15lb line
Funniest video yet😂
Awesome stuff, thanks for info and the laughs.. LMAO
I need Ryan's shirt! Where did he get it?
Rest In Peace Ryan🙏🏼
Is that really just flouro or braid with a flouro leader?
got to do the chicken rig
That was straight laughing gas lol R.i.p Ryan
.
Do y'all ever make your way out to fish in California?
