As a musician - I can confirm this is 100%. But is double tracked - she is singing over her own voice
Watch the second half of the video, where she relises that there is no vocal track and starts singing live. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU.
That part proves she can sing.
It was just common to mime 'call my name' because of the super energetic dance routine so on 'stand up to cancer', where you aren't allowed to mime, she forgot she wasn't miming until she took her earpiece out and realized it, and then she started singing properly.

You can tell this is live, Are you being serious, you can hear her voice?! What is it with people jumping on the lip syncing band wagon. She always performs live, she has said this, there's no point in lip syncing. People should enjoy the music instead of being so critical.

the call my name performance was NOT live and I'm sorry if you're a fan but that was appalling. You could clearly here her panting because yes, the mic was on, but obviously she was expecting back track to cue in and it didn't. Just a phony performer. If you're too scared to sing because you think your dancing will is too tough for you to deliver vocally, then don't dance.
She has a backtrack, but you can tell the parts where she's actually singing. Not saying it's like Whitney Houston good, but don't say she doesn't try.
Am I crazy loving this song? I'm trying to get hold of the songwriters because I'd like to sample it as a country song, they won't reply.. She's also gorgeous! Reminds me of Catherine Zeta Jones type... Rule Great British beauties!
You're not crazy at all! It's such a feel-good and positive song. And I do hope that the songwriters will give you permission for the sample, it would be interesting to hear your take on the song :D

Pre-recorded base is totally acceptable. She made a good choice, because we know she is really singing and the backtrack hide possible fails.
Oh this is a good performance and i like her, but dont you worry this is not 100 % live! shes singing live but in most parts she sings over her pre recorded vocals! Dont let cherly fool you lot because this is not a 100% live performance.

In the case of Call My Name, she was singing. She forgot there wasn't a backtrack., and she didn't realize. She mimes and cheryl fan who says she doesn't is insane, however, she can sing.
Seriously everytime i see or watch anything about Cheryl Cole, i swear i turn into a lesbian.

I watched the second half, and I was embarrassed and cringing for her. I'm not saying it's just her because there are a lot of 'singers' today miming, but simply you just shouldn't. With strong female singers such as Adele, Pink, Emeli Sande who are willing to show their ACTUAL vocal talent, I have no idea why people buy and give in to this rubbish.
She's so hot, can dance, can sing, is pretty,..MARRY ME!
