I was able to take my life and health insurance test from home. There was a proctor watching me on my webcam and they will call you out if you so much as move your eyeballs. I took my P&C test in person and it was much less stressful.
This was an excellent training. New agents looking for agencies or even starting should start right here. It was very transparent and authentic. People never understand that training is the most important thing a person needs. I’ve seen a lot of good agents get turned away from business because of a false impression of what they were sold versus what it actually is. The first couple of weeks can make or break you. It’s an unfair impression of a very good business. Good job.
State of Texas has a temporary license. I just received mine. It will expire in November. I plan on working to stay in the industry, and with the current agency I am with since I have been cleared with them. This is good information.
If you're taking your life insurance exam, yes, Dave is right...Study for the life and health exam at the same time. For, me that allowed me to pass both on my first time taking the test.
Thank you for the great teaching. I am just looking at getting in this business. I feel a real draw to it. Thank you for the good teaching and training. Thank you so much.
This is only my second month with nyl and I have sold 7 policies so far. I will say that this is definitely an emotional roller coaster . I have to hit up a lot of warm market and get leads my own so it’s not easy but I definitely want to continue in this business. I have had days where I want to quit but thank you for this video
Man, your videos have helped me a lot. I started with AIL and after one day, I knew it wasn't for me. Now I'm starting somewhere else, an outstanding company and I'm finally about to start. You've laid so much information out for new people and I really appreciate it! Your videos are very helpful.
I just left AIL myself, I couldn't stand the frozen leads and "free this and that", then hit them with a price tag by the end. I went to Symmetry Financial Group and seeing far better results and presentations.
@@MrTark123 It's probably the same as mine. The majority of the people in presentations filled out info for the free Child Safe Kit, Will Kit, or AIL plus card, or sponsored for a free AD&D policy. Then, halfway through the presentation, it turns to selling a life policy out of left field. And almost ALL of these free leads are FROZEN. I liked the people, but I couldn't stand the system.
Hey David thanks for your awesome content. A few questions for you: Are all MLM's bad? Seems like the life insurance world is riddled with them. I'm a new agent contracted through an agency with Equis financial (Owned by Integrity Marketing). They are certainly an MLM. BUT, the agency I'm with does provide good training, upline is easy to access, and leads are semi-reliable. I've had success thus far and will have my commission level up to 100% after my first two months. Is the grass greener elsewhere? Want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I was also looking into Doug Andrew and his stuff about IULs which I like a lot. What are your thoughts on him and specializing in IULs? Can you recommend an good IMO that deals in IULs? What does the process of separating from the IMO even look like?....Sorry for the barrage of questions but I've got a lot to learn in this space!
I am a health broker that just made six sales and the pay was okay at best and I felt extremely discouraged that I didn't even make enough to pay the bills and all the effort levels feel overwhelming to review a check of what it was. The issue with being a health broker is Medicare doesn't let you do much advertising your so restricted with everything you do and I am going to go back and get my life insurance license since I didn't get it as I was told not to by the person who recruited me into health insurance Don't make my mistake
I’ve done sales but never sold insurance. The company recruiting me offers wholesale - Agent and owner agency - they say that the only money they make is from the insurance sales - they sale leads at 1.21 for old leads and fresh ones for $50.00 - does that sound like a good lead system?
do you give us a print out of the scripts? in reference to the video presentation can you assist with putting video on utube.? You do a wonderful presentation i’m very impressed & have been around the block
Hey there I got my license and now there telling me that I need to pay insurance in other to sell insurance is that true? since I want to get with carriers without a MLM which you recommend?
@DufordInsuranceGroup I got fed up with AIL and the cold leads and people filling out a response for a free product and then being hit with a price tag at the end of the presentation. Deceitful. I went to Symmetry Financial Group a few weeks ago and seeing much better
It's usually a 2 week process once the state has approved your request to be licensed which can take another 2 weeks after you pass the exam. Hope that helps and good luck!

That's right. Be honest and up front. The state regardless which one, will run a background check.
Best Insurance orientation video I've ever watched. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Best video I saw in UA-cam about this.. Which providers does your company works with?
Amazing video! Thank you❤

hey david , In what states is your agency selling?
Pretty much all of them except NY being the toughest due to compliance issues there.
