God calls for us to use wisdom.
They were casting their pearls before swine - something they were told not to do. As a Christian myself, I do believe they are in heaven where they should be (if they were genuine). But they were naive. They should have never went to some third world people, when there are so many lost souls here in the western world. I'd be willing to bet they had friends and family members they could have focused on converting.... but they chose to go to Haiti. Well, there are consequences for listening to modern day propaganda.
@@madmedic7840Yeah, you've literally never read the Bible in your life.
You are correct that many of these comments have been cruel. Many people are acting poorly toward a young couple who sacrificed so much to help others.
Still, if that young couple were to read these comments, they probably wouldn't get too upset. According to their beliefs, they are now with their God and experiencing a joy and peace that passes understanding.
If they were to read these comments, they'd just be praying for a lot of people who are clearly hurting. I thinks they'd prefer a few mean UA-cam comments to being in the tropics without AC and running water. They probably prefer a few mean comments over the times they've been kidnapped or the many times they were threatened with weapons.
Yes, it's sad how people have reacted to this news. Still, this young couple never sacrificed to get the praise of people. They sacrificed because they wanted to live their life for God's glory.

And yet the Biden administration is arbitrarily rounding up Haitian immigrants and deporting them to an active war zone. People like Gerson Joseph, unknowingly deported to Haiti and left basically stranded without any documents to help him identify himself, after having lived in the US for decades.
Good to see you're not victim shaming. Unlike the citizens there, these missionaries did want to be there. This young couple were there knowing full well the danger they faced. They knew death was a risk and decided that was a price they were willing to pay.
This young couple was well aware of the danger. They, their friends, and families had previously faced kidnapping and being threatened with weapons many times.
They believed that not following their beliefs was worse than any harm that other humans could do to them. You may not agree, but clearly the principles you live by won't put you in danger.

We need to teach those gangs a lesson.
As a Kenyan I'm praying for the best 🇰🇪
Vania André is conveniently located in New Jersey, NOT in Haiti. Let that sink in for a second; she’s the chairperson of the Haitian Times, not on assignment in the US. That should tell you all you need to know about her perspective (e.g. when she’s saying the Haitian diaspora has concerns over US aid and the Kenyan mission) and the situation on the ground in Haiti.
It's the same story wherever they are on the planet, without fail.
So if that's the case why do you guys continue to come around us go back to Europe and stay there. Wouldn't that be best
@babarishka have you been around the world? Because the same can be said for your people...continously travel to other countries thinking they are superior to the laws...
You still mad because Stacy preferred Tyrone over you?
@@sanepillow59 I believe you should've started your sentence with, "Are you..." You can't even write a grammatically correct sentence!!!!
Stay out of these 3rd world countries - even Mexico
Stay out of Haiti it's not Safe at all
Why are they STILL there after all this time????🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Spreading your religion to folks that don't want to hear it. faafo
Some do some dont. Like everything. Duh
It wasn't that type of visit. They we're there visiting a children's orphanage. I also love children, but I would have stayed at home and prayed for them instead of going there. Those same gang members kid napped they're own visiting fellow country folk, so they cared not for the lives of anyone else. 😢
@@junioradult6219I can't imagine people that were colonized and missonaried to death need more studies
Spreading your comment to those who don't want to hear it.
@@jazzycat312 Same could be said about you. You're replying to every hate comment instead of being a good Christian and minding your own business.
You do realize that you're exposing yourself to negativity right?

*Give Africans an Island you get Haiti.*
Wth would you go to Haiti when they just emptied their prisons and set their country on fire
Don’t go to Haiti
One of the consequences of teaching white guilt is your kids become obsessed with trying to help black people in Africa, or wherever they may be.
Is it wrong for others to help someone else?
@@gavinschmidt8993 They cannot help anyone else because they intentionally gambled their lives and lost. First responders understand that you have to look out for yourself because others are depending on you being around to help them. Missionaries apparently haven't learned this lesson.
Spot on Jonathan.
@@jonathanbaird8109 no, they didn't lose. These were people that were perfectly aware of the danger and were willing to sacrifice their lives. They believed that the soul was the most important. Due to feeling led that their purpose was in Haiti, they would only lose by not being there.
It's not your values, but it was their values. They just had radically different values than you do. No point in insulting them when they would feel they lived their life to the fullest. They would also feel that their death served a purpose.
It's not that this young couple didn't learn a lesson, it's that their worldview said it was an acceptable price.
Not a single rational reason for these two people to be in Haiti.
Missionaries should not be sent to areas or countries where their lives will be in danger. This is simply being honest and using COMMON SENSE.
They had orphans depending on them, they don't deserve the criticism. Their sacrifice highlights the seriousness of the situation in Haiti
This is awful, my daughter and son-n-law went to Ethiopia for mission work and I was scared for them the whole time they were gone. I know the work they do can be difficult and dangerous, but I just had to accept that's what they want to do.
Stop doing mission work. You’re not going to convert them because you giving them food or money.
@@NorthlanderMN Most of what they do is support the church already established. They support the community with needs. It's not always about converting.
@@NorthlanderMNcause you're there to see no one converting while they're doing mission work right? It's not us who converts them, it's God who does a work in their hearts so that they believe and become born again. Us Christians are only servants and give them the news of the gospel.
@@marcom238 You think you know everything right? I'm not going to debate you since you know it all.

people, I get the desire to work as missionaries in problematic places BUT Haiti is ruled by gangs, all the rules of humanity are OFF THE TABLE. don't put your lives at risk at this moment, so sad.
right, you can't save all the children.
Missionaries have always placed themselves in extreme environments throughout history and have all been slaughtered but their work has had a positive impact on countless people
@@josephpa05 Yeeeeaaah. But I think it's time to bring it home. Stop going to third world countries where the people don't want to hear it. There are plenty of lost souls here in the western world.
They're preaching the word of God to the lost people there. They are now with Jesus whom they gave up their lives for. I pray for the families...God be with you all
Well, why don't you go there? It will speed up your time to go and be with Jesus. Praise the Lord!
So Jesus appreciates his followers dying more than them spreading the Good Word and helping others? I know you guys don't tend to operate on logic but can you explain that to me?
@@jonathanbaird8109 Sure. I'll explain it..... They were casting their pearls before swine. Something they were told not to do. Not obeying God has consequences.... I operate on extreme amounts of logic, because that's how I became a Christian in the first place. If their intentions were genuine, then I don't doubt that they are in heaven. Jesus said, " forgive Father, they know not what they do".... If their intentions were pure, they're all good. BUT, they were naive, and listened to modern day propaganda - that still has consequences.
