People seem to forget that marvel and dc shared a lot of writers so it wasn’t really copying. The writers just moved their work over to the other side aswell

Solomon Grundy and Hulk are only similar in terms of super strength and their build. Other than that, they're two completely different characters.
They r both funny🤣
Same with Plastic Man compared to Reed Richards, like what? They have similar powers but that's where the comparisons end.
@@PapaBear77Indeed, one with ingenious intellect and the other is a goofy ahh character. Their story and personality are so different, like how Plastic Man was once a criminal while Reed is a scientist. Even their powers' capabilities are different too, where Reed are more lean towards his intellect while Plastic Man are more towards his powers.
Moonknight is way more similar to Azrael than he ever was to Batman.
Azrael is supposed to be basically canon batman-esque who kills. He even becomes the bat every once in awhile
Add Batman is more Tony than anyone.
Both are rich, both use tools to gain an advantage, both have the dead parents trope, and both use suits to overcome the weak flesh sack.

Yeah DeX start and that cat in capitan marvel is way closer
Thanos really is not a copycat of darkseid. People say “oh yeah the creator of thanos was told to ripoff darkseid”. That’s taken out of context, he was originally inspired by Metron but thanos was skinny so Jim starlin was told to make him buff like darkseid. That’s the only way they’re similar at all. Other than that their goals and background stories are totally different.
En el comic de Marvel vs DC Thanos y Darkseid se han encontrado y Darkseid le dijo a Thanos que el es su imitación

I mean, I get the skull heads, but I never understand when Black Mask and Red Skull are thrown into a copycat lists when they only have one thing in common. Even then, Red Skull's head actually looks like that, Black Mask (as the name suggests) is just wearing a mask
Actually, Black Mask isn't wearing a mask. The mask is fused with his face.

"Deadstroke"
There are quite a few things wrong with this list, but that one at least made me chuckle.
Don't forget Red Scull and Black MASH. 😂😂
Was he from amalgam comics?
That made me mad.
Deadstroke and Deathpool
I think Lobo would be a better comparison
This list has a lot of problems, but the main ones are, first, that some of the characters are deliberate parodies or pastiches of the originals. For example, General Glory is a parody of Captain America and Hyperion is a pastiche of Superman; and second, some of these characters aren't related at all except possibly by theme. Solomon Grundy, for instance, isn't at all like the Hulk. If anything, Doomsday is DC's Hulk.
Hulk is Marvel’s Solomon Grundy. That’s why Hulk used to be gray. But I love hulk he’s greater in every way than Solomon
Lost it at Green Lantern crops as well lol
Hulk used to be grey due to a lack of colored ink and a printing malfunction that’s why he was changed to green as soon as they could do so and grundys powers have nothing to do with gamma radio action or transformation he is Grundy and why is rocket raccoon and dexstar getting compared like this list is nonsense
Rocket Raccoon and Dex Starr, idk how they made that distinction but there is not a single similarity besides that they are both animals
You got a lot of things on point
Ah yes, my favorites! Red scull and Black Mash!
There are dozens of similar characters from other comic book companies similar to Superman like Homelander, Omni Man, Gladiator from Marvel and the list goes on. The same goes for the other top iconic characters on this list.
You’re forgetting Sun God, Blue Marvel, Ikaris, Wonder Man, Sentry, Vulan, Virtue, Marvel Man, Original Captain Marvel, Quasar they’re all similar to Superman and some don’t wear caps.
They’re many characters in DC that are similar to Superman and then they’re many kryptonian like races that look like Superman and protect their respective planets like Superman well he protects Earth and some lost their homeworld but not all. There’s even a team In the 30th Century called Superwatch a team consist of other races similar to Kryptonianns except for like 2 then there’s now 52 multiverses now in DC Universe New 52. The rest are lesser universes and some contain a Superman like character for example Earth 2 Superman.
Marvel did it with the most inspirations of Superman having over 20+ like characters of Sups. I wouldn’t say they’re copying just inspiration and love for the OG!

Alot of these characters have similar roles in their respective universe, but are extremely different as far as their M.O. and personality is concern. Like Moon Knight and Batman are totally different characters with few similarities. Another example is Darkseid and Thanos, while having similar roles they are very different in terms of power, personality, and motives. Thanos literally does what he does bc he wants the affection of Death while Darkseid is a multiversal super god that conquer shit bc he can.

Always thought iron man and batman were equivalents. No actual powers but very rich, from their parents and both super intelligent with tech
It’s kind of cool tho.
So instead of Deathlocke, who is a well known enough character due to being introduced in Agents of SHIELD, they went with some dude called Machine man.
It probably helps that Machine Man debuted in a Space Odyssey comic of all things. (No, seriously)
You definitely should have compared Dawn of the Seven to DC. They would have been the perfect fit for some of them listed in the video, such as Batman as Black Noir.
Daredevil was Marvel's answer to Batman long before Moon Knight existed.

If you're going to use Hyperion for Superman (part of the blatant copy so they could do our-guys-can-beat-their-guys) it should really be Dr. Spectrum for Green Lantern, and Whizzer for Flash, and so on. Which are all cheap low-hanging fruit for this since they were meant to be copies. In other words, a different choice than Hyperion would have been a good thing.
