Want a masterclass on how to run a shop? Ask card father to "tell you about it". The amount of information that this guy loves to share is a gold mine.
I love videos like this. Telling stories, making and rehashing memories. If you only see the name Burbank you'll think it's just another sports card shop or breakers/flippers trying to make quick money. Videos like this help you get a better idea of some of the people in this hobby, and that it's not just about profits for everyone. Obviously for them it's different because they own a business where making a profit is necessary, but you can tell their priorities are much broader than that. Thanks Mojo!
I had to pause. Put phone down at the AI 20$ Psa8. I would be broke in 45 min at this store. Plus would end up asking for a job. The end. Love this video and what a joy to see the passion in the owners voice. God bless.
These videos from Burbank are awesome. I’ve done some on line buying with them but never realized the magnitude of their business. I wish I was closer so I could visit the store. One day hopefully.
Gorgeous stuff. Love the Cardfather and the BurBank. I know space is a premium, but it would be cool to have a wall that people can sign and leave stickers or cards saying where they are from.
Great job Jay. Loved the questions ya asked them. It wasn’t a generic card shop Tour - among their setup, ya asked them about their family, vacations, what they argue about etc etc. It made this video come across really well and more personable. Keep it up bro! 🤛
Enjoy your card shop visit videos! It’s a refreshing change to the investment and money side of the business that practically every card UA-camr does. Please keep doing this and keeping this hobby down to earth 🌍 Awesome content and I will be visiting Burbank Cards next week.
This reminds me of where I used to work Iron Mountain looks like their climate control room with a location rack for retrievals, so you can pull attachments (cards) good job Burbank. I may have to talk to my Wife about taking a vacation to Burbank, CA This place is so dope, I'm gonna have to save some cabbage so I can buy some jawns that re bangers........ #kingofcards
What a fantastic store!! My highlight would have to be seeing the way they’ve set up the fishbowl. I would have loved that place when I was a kid… actually I would love it now. Sadly there’s nothing like it that I’ve seen here in Aus. Newly back into collecting cards and ripping packs at 43. My boys are into NBA and I love NFL so it would be great to spend a day or 10 in the fishbowl going through cards.
I love this guy even more now that I know he’s a Red Sox fan.. also the fact that it’s a true family business is so awesome.. we need more places like this and not only in sports cards
yo mojo, you should come out to toronto canada first weekend of june for the sports card expo. its gonna be good. we have a big hobby following up here in the north.
OMG I could spend a month in that store !! Amazing ! It would be worth me going from where I live, to Burbank just to goto that store. Its prob a 16 hr drive. I dont drive but it would be worth it to take a train there lol Great video man. Love this shop, thanks for sharing !!
14:29 "... I'm looking for Anthony Edwards right now..." --- Kid, go home, save up a few grand, and go buy a Michael Jordan RC PSA 2. Most of the modern "hot cards" will be worth NOTHING in 10 years. Trust me, I've seen this happen in the 80s and 90s.
Your telling me, no one will want my reverse negative, gold foil, refracting, di cut, kapow, invisible ink autograph on platinum plate , rookie year jersey dirt patch, sweat smear, 1 of 1 Upper Topps Kablam series Zed!?
Dang im from Orange County too and thought burbank was somewhere in ohio or somewhere around there but its an hour drive from me🤯im definitely making a trip over there some time soon
From what I saw, sadly I would NOT walk out happy. Call me an old fart, I don't get the whole FOMO thing of today's generation. I LOVE TRUE vintage (1909-1980) plain and simple. While 2000-2022 is awesome too, I prefer pre 1980 cards. I love digging through those $1 3000/5000 ct boxes of older cards and modern rookies. I don't see ANY of that here. Just EXPENSIVE modern and Ultra Modern. And WAY OVERPRICED retail blasters. One day the modern/ultra modern bubble will BURST and Ill be happy sorting my 1950s-1970s cards while people are desperately dumping those 2017 Mahomes PSA 10s and whatnot. Card shows may not have all those $10,000+ cards, but believe me, Im VERY happy to hit them up an dig through old boxes or maybe decide to get a high dollar graded VINTAGE Mickey Mantle. I love the HOBBY, not the GREED.
Whats the main reason that people buy like for example a K.Leonard rookie card for 12 bucks? Is it because it is your favorite player? Or is it more like a investment and hoping it will go up?

Yes, Hungarian!
This place sounds great
Should check out jim and steves sportscards too
Mojo you're right on the money on this one of the best card shop ever have to take a road trip one day keep up the content BRO
How do shops like this deal with loitering, theft and individuals that might not be conducive to a positive atmosphere?
Hit up Diamond9 in the OC on Saturday J.
This guy is no joke!
Can you negotiate or everything is firm? What’s the California sales tax?
Some cards are negotiable
Different rates in different areas, but Burbank is 10.25%.
Generally new arrival isn't negotiable but ask one of the employees just in case. We charge tax on all payment methods except for cash
This is like the World Stock Exchange for sports cards.
mojo that was awesome video and Biurbank is the best shop by far
Awesome
Hello mojo
great video.
