I have to say that the ergonomics are pretty darn good. I'd give it a 10 as far as ergonomics. I repair machines for a company that has this model, except that theirs also does vertical lathe operations.
The spindel reminds me of my old Anyak VH 3000 that I operated for many years. It broke down all the time and we change the whole spindel 5 time at an cost of 50 000 EUR each time. The toolchanger remands me of a old Correa CNC milling machin that I also operated for many years and it broked down and was never used, it jamed al the time and was very complicated to reset. HEIDENHAIN TNC640 is a great controllsystem.
Most/all of the features seem standard for a machine of that size in that class. but why are they all designed to be a nightmare to clean when (to me) a simple base interior redesign would save so much time in the cleaning process.
The Soraluce TA series is a very easy machine to clean... the table only moves in X-axis and there is a chip conveyor at both the front and back of the table. Chip flow off of the way covers is directed to one of these conveyors and taken to the right side of the machine. The standard coolant system also incorporates a magnetic and paper filtration system.
@@selectmachiningtech Yes if you call that simultaneous 5 axis milling. What you have is XYZ + b and c axis in the spindelhead that have fixed positions and a rotarytable. However what I ment was this. ua-cam.com/video/ngmY7KI8vFM/v-deo.html And skip to 2:50 This is how I work So by defenition you are correkt but the spindel head can not move in a continous motion.
This video was shot at the factory, but this machine is now in our US tech center where we'd be happy to schedule a live-cutting demonstration for you and your team. Please contact dschulte@selectmachiningtech.com to schedule.
That is Soraluce Virtual C-Axis... which is similar to Interpolation Turning. We include this feature in every Soraluce machine with Heidenhain TNC 640 unless a customer specifically asks us not to provide it.
The Side-Palsa Toolchanger is a ..... (not nice) I was Managing a SLP one Yaer ago and I never seen such a ... (not nice again) in programming the Toolchanger. If the Changer got out of Sequenz, 5 times a Week with a good chance of crashing it!.... sorry Soraluce, this changer isnt so complitatat that you cant programm it in a way that it runs safe!!! . In 20 Years of Heidenhain experience i never seen something like this.
Such a nice machine

The control panel can be moved from front side to back side, it is very cool design and helpful for machining the big parts.
soraluce has this system for ages. my soraluce is 15 years old and you can move the controls to the back. really handy sometimes!
I need that machine!!!
😁
no, you dont! there are better ones
@@s.g.4859 if its free...i ll take it..😉👍
I have serviced MANY machine tools and never have I seen lights in the electrical cabinet !!!
Tanks for your explain I think it's the mouvement is very low we can use our soft were program if possible thanks best regards

Can it do simultaneous 5 axis milling on the slant head? Or is it indexing only?
Only index and very slow moving.
@@roberthansson9875 Soraluces Heads are SLOW. You cant move XYZ and index at the same Time.
You can absolutely do simultaneous 5 axis milling.
@@roberthansson9875 sorry, that's incorrect. If you watch the video to the end you will see

Man did that machine pump out a lot of metal chips...

Schulte Prescion Machining in Buffalo Grove Illinois ?
What's the price of that monster?
For when you need to machine an entire car out of a solid block of metal
LOL
17:00 - what cycle number is that?
Probably Cycle 290 "Interpolation turning". Its a software option you have to buy, and your Machine/PLC has to support it.
