Wen ronnie retires boy then will people truley appreciate how good he was for so long and at such a high level even at his worse his was impossible to play a real legand who dedicated his life to a sport and only started practicing in last 4/5 years befor that he turned up and played never a days practice in his life a born natural to the game ❤
He had a sort of snooker addiction: Lunchtime at the snooker club with friends then when they returned in the evening, he was still there. He simply didn't consider this practise.
This was BBCs as complied by John Parrott #3 best shot of the Tournament. I had it as my number #2. The Luca Brecel shot that was ranked best of the Tournament I thought was a worthy winner. I think Ronnie's shot was pushed down to #3 because like #1 it wasn't a pot. So they put the Luca Brecel fine cut to middle pocket 80mph shot instead.
It is an awesome shot as he delivered it perfectly under pressure, I feel confident I could play the same shot after a few practice shots, that's the difference between an amateur and a pro tho right ?? love his snooker so much, something to surely aspire to.
Really? You ain't been watching too much then! That is honestly quite a routine shot to make, at least at club level!! Bottom left hand side, stun run-through, and get the weight right! Keep watching and learning!
I know it doesn't really matter - but how can the Ref call the shot from Brecel a miss. What easier way could he have played that shot to try and hit the red? Ridiculous how trigger happy the Ref's are to call a miss.
I’m no fan of Ronnie but this shot really was played to perfection. I would like to see those players out there who try to replicate this shot. Just hitting the cue ball that sweetly is exceptional.
Normally these things are wow moments but this shot isn’t that difficult! It’s risky but I can imagine being able to play this one! The control of the queue ball is ace but it’s Ronnie day job so I would expect him t9 play it well?
The shot was amazing but matey boy just strolled up and played his shot like he was playing down the local club for a pint. Think I could have made a better job of it.
I was rooting for Brecel but Ronnie is just undeniably the absolute king. Brecel got a nice few frames but his inconsistency will cost him. Great match.
I ain't a pro-snooker player, and certainly no "genius", my highest break ever was 92, but this shot I could play 7 out of 10 times I would say. Drag shot, bottom left hand side, get the weight right, bob's your uncle!! :)
If you're playing it as a drag, you'll recreate this shot 0 times out of 10. If it was a drag shot, the backspin would come off, the cue ball would hit the black directly and you'd be lucky to not leave the red on, let alone cover it... the stun is how it hits the red and goes immediately to the side cushion without going near the black. From about 11 feet away, this is a ridiculous shot.
Surely only a SNOOKER PLAYER could perform that shot? I'll include pool or billiard players in that. My mate is a genius and he would struggle to hit the white ball with the stick thing.
What? If Brecel hadn't been so cavalier/sloppy with his double, he could've got out of that snooker. And Ronnie's shot wasn't genius - another 4+" of run would've been 'genius'....
its actually not that hard shot even tho it looks impressive. Also it is very very common safety shot in american pool games, so common you will see a similar shot pretty much every day you play
Not only the shot, but to think of that shot :) Can watch Ronnie all day!
You’ll have to wait until next tournament
Maybe next year 😅😅😅😅
Brilliance at its best.
Incredible. To conceive and make that shot from that distance! 😮 Ronnie! The GOAT 😊❤️
To slow the white ball by that much and control the spin is a touch of a genius.
Einstein was a genius, this guys just good a snooker.
Ronnnnieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Fantastic!
Often, Ronnie’s safety shots amaze me even more than his potting. This shot is so creative. How many players would even consider trying this.
Colin does it twice a day, and three times iffa Sunday.
@@finnkdy
Colin from Portsmouth?
@@paulomarinho1963yea, some sickening randommer that pissed off into that black hole which'd rather be without his halitosis.
This shot was from distance
So controlling the cue ball with such perfection you need talent of next level
Can't wait to see Break From Life attempt this!
Bloody tough
Not sure the recreation is going to be that hard - the real challenge about this shot is seeing it in the first place.
Brilliant play
Played it with a lot of check side to slow down the cue ball. Nice 👍
And he played it against the new world champion too😃

When commemtator say this is not an easy safe. Ronnie say hold my beer.
Ronnie O' Sullivan = Legend = GOAT
maybe get his name right first
Shot of the tournament so far
Not so far, it’s the shot factual
Oh I totally agree. Just doesn't get better and what guts it takes to do that! Good for you Ronnie the GOAT.
@@Richspring_1 the shot Murphy hit recently was way better. Check it out if u haven't seen. Type Murphy crazy shot.
I love how so many people who love the snooker, aren't that great themselves! lol. Anyone half decent would know how to play this shot!!
@@colindavid2078 The two former World Champion commentators were absolutely raving about the shot......so it can't be that simple, genius.
Terrific Shot !! Outstanding !!

The fact the cue ball is deliberately dancing around the jaws of the corner pocket also makes this amazing, never mind all the rest of it.
didnt get near the jaws bro
Agreed. That’s my point exactly, amazing cue ball control.
sounds like your decribing a shot you play to wobble the ball in the jaws and back out.
Not a snooker fan but that was masterful.
It is an awesome shot as he delivered it perfectly under pressure, I feel confident I could play the same shot after a few practice shots, that's the difference between an amateur and a pro tho right ?? love his snooker so much, something to surely aspire to.
From that distance an incredible shot!
And then loosing ten frames in a row and out of the tournament… good luck Luca Brecel
Didn't look at his best last night and he's still winning. The man is a genius!
This aged well.
@@randypanthegoatboy2 lol can’t win them all 😎
Why was Brecel's shot called a miss? He made a decent attempt, and I can't see a more obvious route to the red.
i love how brecel just shows no respect and dives down to get out of it straight away even though he didnt get out its still funny lol
Bloody hell.
Super shot, amazing.... hope he puts a lil more practice in as he got tough opponents next
that‘s a crazy shot
it ain't the hard to be honest if you are a half decent player. I suppose playing in the World Championship makes more pressure!
Not only his cage rattled and getting off it, his immense talent of snooker is erupting from the centre of the core!
What?? 😂
8°titolo stiamo arrivando!!!!!!
On track for number 8. Go Rocket!
Go Ronnie go!
@@sosic2121 Go home, Ronnie!!!
I just can't warm to Ken as a commentator, even though I'm Irish.
Serperates the men from the boys..
If Ronnie wanted it would have been Selby vs Ronnie in the final.
I would have banked it , the long rail and come 5 rails back to the black...
Been watching and playing snooker for 40 years never seen anything like that before😮

@Colin David I'm not that good mate so to me it's genius, il watch for you on the telly

I have played a similar shot many a times in my career. It seemed pretty easy to me. But then again, everything is when you are dreaming.
every time I've been playing in this world championship I've been able to do this shot
I just did it yesterday, it's pretty easy
Ronnie lost seven successive frames to go out. Not sure many saw that coming..
Bookies paid him well.
How is that even possible
Not sure why everyone thinks this is "genius", you can see this every weekend at a snooker hall
a touch of genius and a pinch of hit and hope !

This hint he play quite serious 😮 even he not play that good in this round.

Well... about that... haha
Why are they clapping and is he allowed to play a second time? He didn't pocket a ball...
why did luca rush that shot?
If you watch his escapes from snookers he always plays them like that, almost standing up and just instinctive rather than weighing up the angles.
G.O.A.T
