Excellent late 93', early 94' Jungle track from DJ Ron and by far his best released (Crackman a close 2nd). This used to get cained by Grooverider, JJ Frost, Kenny Ken and a whole heap of others back in the day. Smacks of Kool fm too!!!
Really wish this was on Spotify 😢

Layers upon layers. This is one of the most important and relevant Jungle pieces ever put together. DJ Ron, the Jungle Don - we salute you!
Was fortunate enough to have heard this out at the time it dropped - just a shame we couldn’t have caught every beat end to end, instead of it being part of a live set.
I was there. This was The transition stage for the jungle sound the Ron and Rebel MC were the earliest originators of. The jungle phase of drum and bass was without question the best and I am honoured to both experience it and make music in that era 🎶😍
93 to 2024… The Mighty DJ Ron take a BOW 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Anyone listening to this in 2024 is a fucking legend. They just dont make tunes like this anymore
Analogue production versus digital… that’s why they don’t make em like this anymore 😅
in a 1000 years this boom bap will still go hard as fuck
When riddims used to take you on a journey.. throughout the the track there's just niceness. Can't beat the 90s era of jungle music. Just hits different in my humble opinion..Those old enough know the vybz. Nostalgia.💯🫡🔥🔥👏🏾
Kool FM set from the weekend. Walkman Volume at max extra bass clicked in. Weekend link up on the red eye business. Astoria / roller in mind. Locked in triple eiiiii. Rave ticket no train ticket. Eyes wide open conductor ya can't catch we. Marker loaded - leather dye business. Adrenalin rush hole train dun. Exit with prize chevingnon cold locked out warmth locked in. Breath visible but dappa inside. Clink of backpack. Crunch of frost under foot. Tune! Time of our lives.
Quite a description. But nicely done fella. A little dab of pink & train bunks where fun.. . All the best.

DJ Ron the jungle don
This track is ahead of it's time. The amen is programmed so rythmatically and the pad sounds so raw but smooth. And this was released in '93-94? Damn.
Edit: I just noticed, this song uses both halfs of the amen break. You can hear it because it switches from a double kick to a single kick and the snares swap back and forth sound similar but distincly different. Truly amazing.
I'm 53 still dropping this , kids are like dad what is it , I just tell them they were born under this flag .
Pretty standard sampling and chopping bro lol
@@gr1mr3apa15 at this point in time both sections of the Amen were rarely used together and most people didn't even have access to the entire break, just small sections from a sample pack or an empty breakdown of a track
@@yeshyyeshiam2520 easily produced on a drum machine like mpc, a lot of jungle breaks are produced in layers mate not just one! Jus sounds like u smoke a spliff and now caught up in the break trance lol.
@@12tribes61 DnB producers weren't using MPCs bruv...You're thinking of HipHop producers. UK DnB producers were using a battered Atari ST running Cubase MIDI'd up to an Akai S2000 sampler. Some later progressed to Cubase on PC/Mac still MIDI'd up on a later S range sampler or an EMU was king in late 90s dark era. They used to chop breaks by hand and map each hit to a different key on a keyboard then sequence them back up. Some further producers used to use Amigas running OctaMED. That's where I started. Atari ST had built in MIDI but no built in sampling. Amiga had 8 bit sampling but no MIDI but you could add it via dongle. Was fun times 93 /94.
This song is so trippy and it like clears out everything on my mind
its beautiful, just discovered it last nite

Loved his sets. All the time he'd never fail to please.
Kind of pleased this tune has sparked so many comments as i really like it.both back then and now but little suprised as well as i never realised it was liked that much.thanks ron.
I get exactly where you're coming from! Sometimes a riddim is a personal favourite for you, but not that many other people.....or you know for a *fact* that a riddim smashed bare dances but only has about 2 comments, lol. Proper junglists in the comments 'ere!!

This track was clearly well advanced for its day. The sampling, layers and effects were complex and harmonious unlike much of the trend at the time. Big up sir!
there was loads of complex and harmonious layered sampling and effects in tracks back then from a lot of very good producers.. Very musical stuff going on... in the UK there was a whole movement of Hardcore Rave music, and MCing that was evolving every day and Jungle was developing through that, partly due to the influence of the soundclash/Ragga/Dub DJs and MCs in the UK.. seriously, listen to the old Raves.. and Take Me Back Pirate Radio gives you a good idea of the progression of the years and styles through their extremely important (and great to listen to) archive
Classic Jungle Track !!!!!!
4:58 the way her vocal was chopped up sounded like that sound effect from scratch lol
Had to be 8 minutes plus on this one, got three copies of this
