Fun Fact: Bugriser (the character depicted in the chips) is actually an existing character in the Battle Network manga. He's basically the second coming of the Gospel Multibug Organism but unlike Gospel, he actually seems to have a degree of cognizance. He uses both the attacks of his gigas and gets defeated by a manga-exclusive train-based PA. I wish I was making up that last part.
How do you make a PA in a Training? It's supposed to appear from the combination of chips you have in hand, is like I trained to use life sword even when I spend the components already
An even goofier trivia about this the Takamisaki Ryo manga are notorious from writing out several characters. With BN1 being most evident. This is actually joked about in one of the volume closing pages where he joked about making Female counterpart to Protoman BugRise are exactly that in context of the manga, an OC that amusingly leads into rewriting a character from BN6 into the story that they otherwise wont appear in(Chargeman)
The counter to BRS is that a Gregar player will never find it in their fight. The counter to both is to try and shut down their respective crosses for digging through their Folder or having a lot on screen (Dust/Charge). They built their NaviCust around a 1/30, so rush them down and beat them up for being Bug Nerds.
The common telltale sign of a BDT user is at their very first turn they use the Dust Cross so they can dig it out ASAP. usually the match depends on how quickly they can access it, so just in case prepare a Cursor chip to make their Dust Cross gone.
4:44 its importnant to note that tango can change who is host and client in between battles and the only way you can tell by looking at the replay file. iirc Bass in bn5 has a host/client thing in bn5 with one player's bass will only attack the opponent's initial 3x3 area and the other player's bass can attack the entire opponent's area even if the opponent has complete area control
I love how most of this video is about BDT while BRS is basically a footnote lol. I know it isn't a property of the chip, but part of the reason why BDT is so oppressive is because it's Falzar exclusive and thus you can dig for it with Dust Cross. Machine Gun or other Cursor chips to decross help delay that dig. Also, isn't Warp Step bug a good way to deal with BDT?
I will never understand why they gave BRS to Gregar. We already have Slash Cross we didn't need a slightly stronger Slash Cross charge shot that takes over twice as long to charge that also overwrites our gatling buster in Beast Out
funny you should mention slash cross. at ATK5 and CRG5 slash crosses DPS is pretty much the same as BRS. slash is just short of matching BRS in damage output. only upside to BRS in this situation is you don’t have to worry about getting decrossed.
Curious, how long does the paralysis effect lasts for if Bug Death Thunder hits someone? Will it hit an Object if someone is behind one or it goes around it?
the para lasts for 120 frames or 2 seconds, and if you mash buttons while your paralyzed you can tick off 1 frame for each button press. BDT will take the shorted path to you even if there is an object in the way, so you can lead it into objects to take it off the field
@@BlueStarSixtyFour Just found through game data that the Bug Death Thunder's paralysis only lasts for 90 frames. The Japanese guide was actually wrong!

Thanks for the info, this is a cool detail

Why would you wish you were making up something awesome?
@@azurestar-ch1I think he means it's a PA exclusive to the manga and involves ramming a train into the target
i love how these vids are just casual sincerly what brings me back

It sounds like BRS is a lot more straightforward of the two. Anyway, great job with the video!

Yes, but then you're stuck in Warp Step and you're asking to get read
CERTIFIED BUGRISER MOMENT
I heard a video covering stuff for Bass.EXE is approaching in the future! My wish is being granted! HYPE!!!!
1:54 lol costs me 100 bugfrags and I need more after getting 50 from patch cards and dumb luck for the rest. Guess it's for competitive people.

This makes me think a lot. Col force is widely excepted to be the best chip in gregar but wb falzar gigas
How do you get frame data
You stream?
…
Do you have a discord I can keep an eye out on for streams?
link to BNA discord is in the description :)
200 dmg for a giga chip? Am I missing something?
I love BDT PP!
Who the heck is the Villain character on the front?
Bugriser, a character who otherwise only appears in the manga.
Can you do a video on the static battle chip because I don't know how to use it.
Can you patch cards
Very annoying gigas
