What you guys think 14900ks or wait for 15th gen. I play Arma 3 so one core is maxed out bottle-necking so need single thread performance and ram speed.
Damn, the 4080 is basically mandatory for a new build, if you want it to last for a good 5 years at 1440p/high. A shame that it costs an arm and a leg. Some time back, I got the GTX 980 which is the equivalent to 4080 now for like 700. Now this thing costs upwards of 1200…
daamn, still a 980, And I'm considering upgrading from my 2080ti for 1440pgaming to a 4090, but rumors are that the 5 series are coming in the fall... So I think I'll wait it out
@@sergeyivanovish85 I have a 2070 Super since 2021, just saying that a few years back a “top end” gpu used to cost 700, like the 980 I had. Now 700 gets you a mid-range gpu.
Hey man I love the video, but I think ALL your math is wrong... For example, Horizon Zero Dawn 4K were looking at 101 vs 116. So you would divide 101 by 116 and get 0.87, so the ti super would be 13% faster not 15%. OR am I doing it wrong lol?
the open box 4070ti gaming oc was not a bad buy a few months before the supers came out. It pushes 3ghz and +2000 mem quite easily. 4070ti Super is like a failed bin 4080/AD103.
Picked up a 4070tiS from Best Buy open box for $664 last night . Coming from a 6800xt but so not gonna be huge gains maybe 25-30%? But with DLSS 3 and frame gen will be higher and can’t wait to try nvidia reflex for OW 🎉 PS: the extra 4G of vram makes a huge difference . Many games I play already use 12g or more of vram so best to always get most amount of vram you can afford
Actually due to huge amount of cache these 4000 series card have. Memory bandwidth is not making big changes. 4070ti super is more closer in terms of memory bandwidth to 4080.
Could you test the 14900K vs the 7800X3D in Counter-Strike 2???? I saw that the 7800X3D has higher averages, but nobody online has tested for AMDips , you are the only one who can test for it afaik , and Counter-Strike is the only game i play , could you consider?

🙂 thank you very much, i have a HUGE old tv but it only has 1080p, its good to know that 12GB of Invidia Vram is the sweet spot, I didnt know that, thanks again
it isn't if you care about the future and not having to upgrade every generation. if you want to be able to fully utilize a new card for more than one generation then 16gb vram is the minimum you would want to get. but even now some games can use more than 12 gb vram.
in the future ppl are going to be stuck with a 16gb vram 4080 and wishing it had 20gb vram. i bought a 4080 knowing this because I didn't have much of a choice. but 16 gb vram will fare better than 12. just look at the 3070 and its generation killing 8 gb vram, it turned a semi mid-range into a low-end card.

Get a better GPU, with Nvidia you're shooting yourself in the foot by not getting current gen hardware because their software is locked to it. With AMD everything is backwards compatible.

I know you don’t use DLSS but once you turn that on and Frame Gen then really the differences between these cards becomes even less noticeable to the average mortal. 250fps vs 275fps or 300fps, kind of the same to me. As far as efficiency goes the 4080 and the 4070TiS are basically the same, if you limit the 4080 power to 270w I think they would get basically the same FPS with the 4080 winning in RT titles because of the higher tensor and RT core count. Again even in countries where electricity is 0.33$/kwh the difference between 270w and let’s say 200w is moot, two cents an hr. If you can find a previous gen card that draws 270w for the same performance as a current gen at 200w for 100$ less it would take you 4329hrs to get on par cost wise. I think performance per watt is a waste of time. You know what saves you the most power?? Stop gaming so much and get a real job, then you won’t have to worry about saving pennies per hour.

I reckon rx6800xt is bare minimum for 1440p these days. I think I recall with my old 2080ti I used to get around 90fps in assassins' creed Valhalla in 1440p ultra maybe fsr quality, not 100% sure. but with my rtx4080 in assassin's creed Valhalla I can max out my 165hz 1440p monitor with 165fps ultra settings fsr quality and the gpu utilization is only about 50% and temps are also about 50 degrees Celsius. And that's with locked 165fps and a i7 11700k so I can only assume unless there is an engine limit the 4080 would be able to get close to double that fps and even more if you dropped to fsr performance. even going from a 2080ti to a rx6800xt there's a big difference if you look at benchmarks, so any upgrade such as 7800xt or rtx4070 would be definitely worth the upgrade. I could not even hit locked 60fps at 1440p medium with fsr performance in starfield with my rtx2080ti amp extreme, dipping into the low 50s often when starfield first came out.
seeing used ones popping up for 1500$, bubble is burst, can snag a used one for less than MSRP and a few retailers still restock at MSRP, unless you want an expensive AIB model like a strix, which imo makes no sense as they all perform within margin of error, frames, singular kind lol
How long does it take to RMA an intel cpu? My 14900k is dead, i put in an rma request and they said it was bad, i gave them my info and ive heard nothing back for 2 weeks now
Sheesh, that sucks. No idea as I've never had to RMA. I'd be careful with them though. They're going to investigate and if it died because of you then there goes the rma.
4070Ti Super 16GB Vram buffer is big win here. no more stutters in UWQHD. 12GB Ti crap belongs to trash. sadly prices are basicly the same for Ti and Ti Super where i live, so no brainer. 4080 is impossible to buy under 1000€ and is expensive for what it delivers to the table. no good deals. so i skip it.
just search the cards or vs for cards and many many vids will pop up with WZ clips lol these cards do fine in WZ, ppl will say AMD is best, but how many pro WZ streamers do you watch who use AMD cards, very little, I have yet to see one...expect over 200fps with 4070ti
Diablo 4 put my 8gb to the test at 1080p back at the launch date, and I think there may be more games like it from then to now. Never underestimate developer's lazyness.
im looking at prebuiilts in canada with these two cards, when all the other parts are the same but the GPU is the difference...im looking at a 400$ to 500$ difference after tax between these two cards....its madness. Why the hell would i pay over 400$ for a 10 to 15fps difference. its stupidity.
Tbh 60-120 fps is perfect for 99% of single player games. I absolutely see no point in running comp multiplayer games in 4k as you said.. frames. So going by this.. card that can achieve around 4k 60-120 fps is a 4k card
Over here in europe it's not even a question. 4080 supers cost $327 more than 4070tiS which for 15% extra performance isn't even worth considering. End of life 4080 is not much better at $272 which is still 30% more money for half the performance gain. All in all the 4070tiS remains the best choice out of the 40 series, at this point even a 4090 would be a waste of money with the 5090 close to 6 months until release.
for power efficiency, yes, for performance, some, not enough though, but depends on game, also, is the card not doing what you want it to do? If so, then yes consider an upgrade, I see alot of smart PC gamers holding out for 50series with their 3080ti's, your call, your $ GG
Been looking at building a 4070ti gaming pc with a 4070 straming pc always wondered why theres £200 difference haha 4070ti for me is around 700 but a 4070 is 500 haha
Get the 4070ti super, the extra VRAM actually makes it worth the price. 4070ti is useless now, you can just get a 4070 super for much cheaper with the same performance when OC'd.
It's 15% more performance for 25% more money. In europe this climbs up to 30-35% 4K gaming is still a joke, hopefully the 50 series will be more future-proof in this category.
hardly, 4080 and 7900xtx are so close its hard to say which is 2nd ranked and 3rd ranked, plenty of benchmarks out there, besides like a whole whopping 2games that are AMD optimized, they're soo close, it comes down to value, which some will say AMD is winning, when you leave the gaming landscape, Nvidia holds the edge, enough, most productivity ppl will choose nvidia over AMD usually, but thats a whole other world of PC's that has its own benchmark landscape, even with SAM, its not enough to say, it destroys, put both side by side with out say MSI AB running, avg joe wont see the difference, well they notice AMDips and probably lean towards the green team lolz(not a srs comment by the way, cause you probably take AMD wayyy too srs, GG) @@k1cs1m3a8

Writing while waiting on advert lol. 4070 Super would’ve been a nice 4th for comparison.
And answered within first 15 seconds 🤣
*also grabbed a 4070 Ti Super for $670 on BB
@@dev77cmd jup, times have changed :(
Great video, thanks for comparing power draw also.
101 times 1.15 is 116
the open box 4070ti gaming oc was not a bad buy a few months before the supers came out. It pushes 3ghz and +2000 mem quite easily. 4070ti Super is like a failed bin 4080/AD103.
4:32 my favorite ram benchmark 🥹
Picked up a 4070tiS from Best Buy open box for $664 last night . Coming from a 6800xt but so not gonna be huge gains maybe 25-30%? But with DLSS 3 and frame gen will be higher and can’t wait to try nvidia reflex for OW 🎉
PS: the extra 4G of vram makes a huge difference . Many games I play already use 12g or more of vram so best to always get most amount of vram you can afford
Smart choice. You'll see the biggest bump in performance for raytraced games. Easily 50% compared to your previous card.

No fluff until the end! 😻
Been looking for this in YT for reviews. thanks for the effort really appreciate this video!
really happy i bought a 7900 xtx instead of the 4070 ti which was as expensive or more expensive
Jufes what about giving both 4070ti and the 4070tis 300W and testing them with that PD?
Actually due to huge amount of cache these 4000 series card have. Memory bandwidth is not making big changes. 4070ti super is more closer in terms of memory bandwidth to 4080.
So 4070 ti vram oc vs reference same gpu frequency as 4070ti super 4k how much difference %
Could you test the 14900K vs the 7800X3D in Counter-Strike 2???? I saw that the 7800X3D has higher averages, but nobody online has tested for AMDips , you are the only one who can test for it afaik , and Counter-Strike is the only game i play , could you consider?
why not download the software yourself and do it yourself? MSI Afterburner is free and will show you realtime frames and dips, etc :D

I bought the same exact 4070 ti super and upgraded from a 3070 lol absolutely love it and it's defiantly a hell of a upgrade

If you don't know nothing, it means you actually know something...

a MSI Z690-A Pro DDR5 Mobo from ebay for 89$+6000/6400mhz ddr5 ram for $70 ;) what I did with my 13600k, you will see much better performance with a ddr5 mobo, ebay is fine too, using both components for 5months now no issues, both were practically new, I think its overstock or returned stock they put up regularly, its a bidding battle, just make sure ready to bid a cpl extra dollars at the very last second to get the best price...
3:50 the math doesn't work that way. The 4080 is 15% faster than the Ti super, just a heads up.
you clearly are not understanding!! he is comparing both the super and 4080 percentage difference to the 4070ti🤣
@@caiz1411 You clearly don't understand how math works. 🤣
i think the math goes from 4070ti to 4080, not 70 tis. When you do 4070 tis to 4080 than there are 15%
`So now 4070ti super is at same level of 3090Ti.
Love the part where you list your OCs and power draw.
I need answers. 3080 ti vs 4070 ti 1080p pure power.
Sounds terrible 😂 I feel bad for you people that do this type of thing
Now this is an interesting comparison given the price differences
Its probably the kernel crap setup they got for helldivers which is why its scaling weirdly.

@@redclaw72666 ok, same for me. More than $1000 for graphics card its robbery 😅
4090 is more like 3x of a 2080ti
Why is GPU power efficiency now important, as you throw any efficiency out of the window with a 14900K ?
It's due to people crying over electricity and people wouldn't shut up about it soo he had to add it to shut them up
How long does it take to RMA an intel cpu? My 14900k is dead, i put in an rma request and they said it was bad, i gave them my info and ive heard nothing back for 2 weeks now
Sheesh, that sucks. No idea as I've never had to RMA. I'd be careful with them though. They're going to investigate and if it died because of you then there goes the rma.
Only sane gaming GPU content on youtube
MSI model still has problem with the vBIOS, you should benchmark the Gigabyte model
The one he bought only has base max power limit. If you care about overclocking you need to get a premium one like gigabyte gaming.
Same, cheapest 4080 is 1099€ over here. Insane mark-up for nothing.

Diablo 4 put my 8gb to the test at 1080p back at the launch date, and I think there may be more games like it from then to now. Never underestimate developer's lazyness.
I wonder what RAM Heatsinks he uses?
im looking at prebuiilts in canada with these two cards, when all the other parts are the same but the GPU is the difference...im looking at a 400$ to 500$ difference after tax between these two cards....its madness. Why the hell would i pay over 400$ for a 10 to 15fps difference. its stupidity.
Sounds like its perfect for 1440p ultrawide
Very true. 12GB is risking it even for standard 1440p at this point.
A 4070ti-super as a "4K" card is crazy to me. I have a 4090 and still I refuse to use 4K. I love my framerate too much.
Tbh 60-120 fps is perfect for 99% of single player games. I absolutely see no point in running comp multiplayer games in 4k as you said.. frames. So going by this.. card that can achieve around 4k 60-120 fps is a 4k card

😂😂😂 let the Ai handle it
the super is a good card, it’s just no where near as good as 4090 but it’s still solid

Is it a legit upgrade from 3080Ti. Rtx 4070ti.
for power efficiency, yes, for performance, some, not enough though, but depends on game, also, is the card not doing what you want it to do? If so, then yes consider an upgrade, I see alot of smart PC gamers holding out for 50series with their 3080ti's, your call, your $ GG
