@Chewbert it's very good! Started my first game with Italia and its been super fun so far! I wish the mission tree and religion were a bit more fleshed out, but for a newly released mod it's really impressive.
Idea: have a mission tree for Arabia, in which if they conquer Heliopolis, they get the option to convert to Christianity and then go on crusade against their Pagan neighbors. Similarly to the Islamic conquests
They get like a disaster about the Christian provinces n have to choosea religion to go down n if they pick Christianity they get some op general who's also a 6 5 5 and strict and morale of armies so they can actually have a chance vs qegypt
I played as Seleucia and even that minor nation had its own mission tree and its own lore, it was a challenging start though, in a region where Macedonia, Aegyptos and Persia were conquering all the provinces around me.

Europe is already mainly Christian in the EU4 timeframe (and to be fair with colonization the world would likely be as well in most playthroughs), so makes sense for an alternate history mod to change things up a little. Besides, you can still make the world Christian if you want. I would love some kind of a series where you briefly outline the gameplay intentions/ideas behind nations. Only issue I have is some many cool options and large mission trees I get lost 😭
Norrland should be called Hälsingland. Norrland is sort of a colonial perspective of the land - the land in the north sort of. Very much Stockholm perspective. Hälsingland was a petty kingdom in the Vendel times and later was likely incorporated into Sweden (unknown how as little archeological findings gives evidence enough of battles or so and the sagas don’t mention any conquest). The region was semi autonomous until late in the Middle Ages. They preferred to pay church taxes to Trondheim instead of Uppsala, but they were definitely not under the Norwegian crown either. Until the first common national law in the Swedish realm the law of Hälsingland was the law in northern Sweden and also in Österbotten in Finland.
My favourite part of the mod is that trade now flows completely illogically so i no longer have to look at the rhine flowing into champagne, but not the english channel
@@Omega-mr1jggood point, but maybe there is mod lore that stopped trade from going down that river, kind of like how trade only goes from Alexandria to Venice because of the history of Venetian traders

How where they even conquered by the Egyptians hey had a developed military and would have had extensive relations with a revived Zoroastrian Persia and during the Hasmonean period they where allied to a bunch of Greek city states which might extend to Macedonia
Mod would be better without the new world, india and asia. Focus on what people like as europe, italia, north africa, middle east and a bit of russia. I think it might appeal to more people if u put all the famous nations (so people from all regions can imagin themselves as their ancestors) in it, like a possibility to form andalusia, phoenicia, ottomans. Also I feel like italy is way to weak. I would like to see all the famous nations in 1444 pretty weak and decentralised and then they race each other to get big and strong and then fight between them. Its also a good idea bcs it would be fun to do in multiplayer. A lot of flavor for each big nation makes the mod repeatable, someone can begin as carthage, then do a conquest as norsemen (vikings), egypt, macedonia, greeks (sparta and athenes in particular), roman empire, andalusia, persia, russia, saxony. It would also be more fun if you make a few confederations as the italian federation, for example one for the german tribes, one for the vikings andalusia with other islamic nations trying to form a caliphate, greeks with their cities. I also feel like gaul is way too strong try maybe to make it a bit more decentralised so its a challenge for players and ai.
