And the baby’s👶 mom trying to photograph, all the guide was pointing out. Ceiling? Oh let’s take a ‘professional’ photo of it. 😌 I would like to push her of the balcony. Can’t believe people can and are like that. Thank u Jordy ♥️👍🏻👊🏻
Wow !!! It's hard to imagine that people actually did and do live in such places!! All though beautiful and priceless with all the old antics. I don't think I could ever get use to living like that. It's seems like such a cold place. No warmth of a real home. May as well live in a church cathedral. Thank you josh 😉 what an amazing surprise you gave to us with this video!!!! Such a sweetheart ❤️
The office makes sense and the esthetics totally gorgeous! The ceilings are so heavy looking and overbearing in most rooms, especially smaller sized rooms. So, the eye just gets overwhelmed by all the other decorations in each room. But, the office was spectacular due to striking a balance.
Wow .. just Wow!! I had heard years ago that because of the size and the amount of rooms in Buckingham Palace that the Queen has not seen or been to every part of it despite living there the majority of her life, I feel like Hearst Castle must be the same way. Watching the last couple of vlogs I cannot believe the detail in everything, just fantastic!
I didn't do this tour in 1988, so this was truly a first for me! Like I said yesterday, I definitely have to go back, It's way past time!!! Thanks! Looking forward to tomorrow's vlog
The castle and all it's treasures is a fantastic legacy far surpassing that of Hearst's media empire. I just hope it all will be still standing throughout the centuries to come. 12:18 The tour guide describes the effects of an earth quake. It's anecdotes like this that make any ambition to move to and build in the state California a serious deal breaker.
I have watched these Hearst Castle videos many times, they are my favorites. I never get tired of watching. Excellent Jordan, many thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Could you imagine playing hide go seek..... How beautiful the silk bedding. So much to take in, spoiled for choice. Thank you again Jordan. Looking forward to, tomorrows vlog.
Opulent to say the least. Loved the ceiling that the craftsman made on site; beautiful! I am going to watch both of the Hearst Vlogs over again, there is so much to see!
Gooood morning Jordan and Jah!!! WOW! the Hearst vlogs continue. Those ceilings were amazing. I love that they had clothes laid out and still hanging in the wardrobe. Do you know if they were the actual clothes worn by Mr. Hearst and Marion Davies? Cannot wait for tomorrow's vlog. Have a great day!!!! 🦁💙forever.....
Bruh! I was just there last week. Me and my boys on a bad day fishing discovered this place so randomly. We did the first tour which is the changing rm for the pool, the dinning hall, a big living space with humongous rugs, and last out to the tennis court to the indoor pool. Kool place to visit.
I don't know if anyone is aware of it but the cannot put a value on the collection in Hearst Castle. When they say Priceless they mean it. Also another fun fact, there are several pieces from his collections that he bought from Castles and estates in Europe that he donated to San Francisco and can now be seen in the park. There are gates columns and pediment there that he donated.
@@steelman86 And fun fact several warehouses in California and New York still owned by the Hearst corporations still have hundreds of thousands of architectural elements, entire buildings, art and antiquities and no one is allowed to see it, one of the greatest art collections never to be seen for the foreseeable future.
I am with Ann Marie. The baby crying who could hear the guide. leave the babies out. I am a mother if 3 I would not have spoiled it for the others. just saying
Jordan, Have you ever been to Newport, Rhode Island? The mansions there are amazing, like having a dozen Hearst castles on one street, you can spend a whole weekend there and not see everything.
Now I know why Europe has long had a moratorium on historical objects leaving the continent. All of us like to acquire some nice things that inspire our emotional creativity but Hearsts' desire to acquire is almost in need of clinical research. Again, thank you Jordan for showing us around.
It sounds like W.R. Hearst used quite a few "recycled" pieces of art & building materials which is quite different from most people. Also, did the guide say that they built a hydro-electric power plant? If so, that's way cool & very environmentally green.
Wonderful vlogs! Hearst Castle is an interesting, spectacular place. I've been there many times. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the State is being a good custodian of this sensational property. There appears to be a lot of deferred maintenance and parts of the buildings are very dirty. It's time for the State of California to give Hearst Castle a thorough cleaning and make some much-needed repairs beyond those the State appears to be making in response to the deferred maintenance.

Haha - You really had me fooled Jordan. Yesterday I was wishing you had gone upstairs too. Anyway, did you have a favorite room ? Mine was the library.
Loved the tour! It just seemed with each new room, down each hallway, progressing thru each wing, the house reminded me of the movie, Citizen Kane, which many have said was loosely based on WRH life...
This Man had a dream and he followed it and his taste in art work etc gosh I wish I had that kind of taste and f course the money would help lol wonder if any one ever got lost in the house or on the property how can any person not like this
Thanks again Jordan.....i didn`t visit the top floors and bedrooms, but it`s great to have seen them now. They are just as "kinky" as the rooms downstairs hahaha
Just curious, does Patricia Hearst reside on the.property? I remember from when I was very little that she was kidnapped by the S.L.A. and the group had tried to get ransom money from Hearst family, then forced her to rob banks. I think she is William Randolph Hearst's grand daughter (but not sure of her father's & mother's names). I understand she grew up on the Hearst property. The castle is so beautiful.
THIS IS A GREAT TOUR! LOVE THE CASTLE! A NATIONAL TREASURE. THE HOST MR. HEARST DID HAVE GUESTS LIQUOR REMOVED FROM SUITCASES BY BUTLERS. HE DID NOT WANT LATE NIGHT PARTIES AND DRUNK GUESTS. THAT WOULD HAVE BUMMED ME OUT AS A GUEST! LOL
I have kids but never would have had them go through this tour as a toddler crying and screaming. It’s rude to the tour guide and rude to the paying guests.
Just one more thing......and I may piss of a few people here but WHY must people bring their screaming children , toddlers or under 5s to something like this? I will never understand that. I'm Godfather to 11 kids and I've spent MANY extended lengths of time with many of my kids and I would never dream of taking a child to a museum or a culture walk or an Adult happening or my favorite A MOVIE where they let shrieking kids go running up and down the isles dragging their own strollers and the parents do NOTHING. This child has no concept of what is going on and he's probably Hot and tired or wants food and its not his fault. Why the employees allowed this is beyond me and the parents are just immune to how they are intruding on everyone enjoying a wonderful happening. If I was there I would of excused my self and waited for the next tour down in the courtyard .
My sister was like that with her infant in restaurants and would give people sitting near by mean disgusting looks because they didn't like hearing her baby shrieking and crying whilst they were trying to enjoy their meal. Then when we got home she would still be upset about how others in the restaurant acted towards her. I told her that she had the baby, not them. It would be like me stepping in dog sh!t in my yard when I don't own a dog. This might come as a surprise to you but, most people including them and I might add, me, don't like the hear the sound of a screaming shrieking baby. I continued by telling her that if she was going to bring her infant to places like that and the infant started to cry, out of consideration for the other
Could be due to the fact he was a publishing mogul? Also, he is the reason hemp was made illegal. It was hurting his lumber business, so he called in a political favor. He was not a nice man.
I'm just wondering how on earth those people buy all that they have collected! Are they simply constantly out purchasing things? Gee! Appears it would be a constant thing to collect so much!
Difficult to hear the the guide, mom please leave baby with the baby sitter 😱 otherwise the castle is beautiful I love it 👍 thank you for sharing your gorgeous video ❤👏👏

Yes it’s very irritating.

Excellent, Jordan. Brings back memories of my own visits to Hearst Castle and marveling at the wonders. Thank you.
I've read a few books on Marion Davies, and she always came off as being a lovely and gracious person.
Wow! What a tour. Those rooms were just Amazing! Thank you so much for vloging Hearst Castle for us.
