Turns out that because of the army and police pension schemes I have to pay more money into my uk pension to get the full benefits when I retire as both schemes for a while were contracted out (whatever that means). I’m fully aware that it was my decision to emigrate and I did it willingly but I honestly thought that service for your country counted for something. Clearly the only thing it counts for is paying more money into a pension than others do. I’m proud of what I did in the uk and I’ll always be British but it’s kind of a kick in the proverbials. So I'm in Iran and I leave and come to the UK and I claim asylum knowing full well that whether my asylum claim is granted or it fails then I will be allowed to stay in the UK. We have no means of deporting these people and all the Iranian government has to do is to fill planes full of criminals and give them instructions on how to claim asylum and where to contact this wretched female lawyer.
