How To Add Tracking ID To Amazon Associates (Affiliate Marketing For Beginners)

- In this video I'll cover How to Add additional Tracking ID's to your Amazon Associates account. If you multiple avenues online that utilize Amazon Associates program then you'll want to create separate tracking id's for each one.
For example, if your main Amazon Associates account was created with a Blog/Website then you started your UA-cam channel or other Social Media account you'll be able to track individual sales/profits from each platform.

What happens if I link my blog article that contains affiliate links on a Pinterest post? Am I supposed to have a Pinterest ID and a blog ID and if so, do I need to make separate blog posts? I use around 3 apps that I just link my blog to but it said I wasn’t in compliance for my tracking ids. Do you understand my question? Sorry new to this! Great video!
Hey CSmith, Thank you for reaching out. You're doing the right thing, absolutely you can create a Pinterest Pin and link it to a blog article (that contains affiliate links). If you plan to have Pinterest Pins that link to affiliate products then I would create a Tracking ID for Pinterest in addition but if you're just going to redirect the pin to your blog, I think you're good to go with only 1 tracking ID. Basically my thought process is create a separate tracking ID for whatever platform I'm promoting affiliate links on. Does that make sense? do you put the url to add tracking id? What if you IG & TT has the same name? Hopefully my questions makes sense. Still learning. Thanks
Great question! I would suggest using a different tracking ID for IG and a different one for TT too. That way you know exactly where you are getting clicks from. When you are in Amazon you can click on "Get Link - Text" then you can select which tracking ID you want to use. Hope this helps answer your questions. Please let me know if it doesn't 👍
how to delete or edit existing tracking ids!
Hi Aman, Unfortunately at this time I haven't found a way to delete or edit my tracking Id's. It won't hurt anything on your Amazon Associates account in anyway. It's just an eyesore seeing a mistake or old ID you want deleted. I totally understand it's frustrating.. But the good news is having extra tracking ID's doesn't negatively effect anything with your account or standing with Amazon. Hope this helps!

Hello, You can utilize Amazon's OneLink for International sales. I copied the information direct from Amazon: OneLink is an amazing tool and is fundamental to conducting Amazon affiliate marketing on an international scale. This solution automatically redirects clicks on your Amazon links to the user’s local or nearest Amazon store. Even better: if you choose, it will connect them to a similar product if your exact recommendation is not available in their country. (You can select this option in the Additional Settings section of the OneLink homepage.)
With this solution in place, shoppers see pricing in their local currency and accurate shipping information (and potentially feel those welcoming vibes you’re hoping to share).

@@MattoxRyan okay so when you click tools , there’s a bar called “link checker “ so basically when you generate a link from site stripe you can plug that into link checker to verify , I’ve done that with my links and they say “not valid “ however I have traffic on my AA showing over 200 clicks but not sales yet , do clicks vindicate my links work ? Chat gpt said it’s possible not valid links could still generate clicks on the AA account but you won’t get Credit for the commission

Can I delete tracking id's?
Hey @jessicanorris4393, Unfortunately Amazon doesn't let us delete them, however you can just create another new one. It won't hurt anything on the Amazon Associates side of things if you have a tracking ID sitting there idle/not being used.. But Amazon does allow you to have up to 100 tracking ID's per Store ID.. I hope this helps answer your question!
