They’re the worst builder’s with really bad customer service and have trained their employees to heavily rely on the contract to tell homeowners what they want to fix or not. Avoid at all costs, we’re living through hell having brought a home just closed this month. Worst people and company with no morals or ethics.
This builder is just a money grab. Me and my spouse managed to get our money back because they didn’t state in the contract they would keep our earnest money deposit.
They are under no obligation to offer you those favors. You signed a contract and now life has happened. Is totally up to them what to do. And because A gives handouts doesn't mean that B should give handouts as well. I don't support the mortgage industry, but I think your expectations are unreasonable.
We live in a century neighborhood and they are scumbags. We have to fight them for weeks to months on each issue, which all fall under warranty. There are currently two projects we’ve been trying to get them to do since late May. Since moving in last November we haven’t had a full week where an issue hasn’t come up. I hope they figured out a way to get their deposits, but they dodged a bullet.

They allow their workers to drink alcohol on the job site. Real classy
