1988 Porsche 944 NA with Dansk exhaust *EXHAUST SOUNDS*

- Creepy moustache ✅ Corduroy jacket ✅ Dodgy haircut ✅and we're ready to drive the 80's Porsche. I didn't have much time to film as I forgot the F1 Belgian GP was starting at 2pm, so it's only a quick video.
Apologies for the shaky interior camera, I don't have any way to stabilise the DSLR and it's sketchily attached to the seat headrest with a gorillapod. The car has been fitted with a Dansk sports centre silencer and rear section.
Hope you enjoyed this quick video and the sound of the Dansk exhaust.

Just added a dansk to my 1988 944. Best decision. IMO gives the a little more volume to the stock sound but has just a touch more growl. Not too loud not too quiet. Great job highlighting it!

Thanks! I was really impressed with the Dansk stuff, felt really good quality and well engineered. I've made the mistake before of getting custom fabricated exhausts etc but this Dansk unit really is a great compromise between tone and volume. Not too loud, never drones and with a tone that sounds more like a Porsche sports car should! Have a good day 🤙

I have the same car and exhaust (same colour too!). It’s quiet when normal driving but when you put your foot down you get that harder sound 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks dude! It's the sport exhaust system with an end and mid pipe. Tbh I'm not sure about the cat, I believe it's still present though!
@@TheOldGuarded I don't think our 944's had cats in the UK. The 968 did, but 944's didn't I believe.

Great video. Just picked up my 944 a few weeks ago. Looking at the Dansk for it. Albeit I have the S2 so it will no doubt sound a little different but good to hear what it could be like. Did you replace just the back box for this?
If you want to buy one so it doesn't rust fine but if you're looking for a better exhaust note, sound, it is barely noticeable not worth the money
Do you even own a 944? They have basically no exhaust note when stock. This is a HUGE improvement over stock.
I had a custom stainless exhaust made headers back and I can say this sounds very similar, i put a Borla s2 straight through exhaust with dual tips. Highly recommend these cars with exhaust it makes the whole experience better
They're just too quiet from stock, a bit of exhaust work and they sound how to look! I've been interested in getting some equal length headers made, I wonder how much this is likely to cost?

Is that a dansk with only the damper at the exhaust tip?no catalic converter?it sounds verry good
Thank you! It has a silencer at the exhaust tip and another in the midpipe, I believe there is still a cat installed!
This sounds deeper than some of the other 944s I’ve heard. Is there aftermarket headers too?
Nope! Stock headers, just the centre and rear section Dansk. Thanks for watching
