I've started practicing three dart check-outs. I select a random three dart number, say 121, and assess how I'd check it out. My preferred alternative would be 60 +45 +16. I throw at each number in turn, and whether i hit it or not, i proceed to the next. I do a similar thing with two dart checkouts but have rwo throws at the double. I do ten practices at each of the three and two dart attempts. I finish off my practice session by having 10x3 throws at what i perceive at the most awkward checkout of double 3. Sometimes i might go around the board in odd number doubles, 1,3,5,7... to get a little more confidence with those doubles if i happen to end up on one of them.
Get better 12 and 18 become 5 and 1, don't be obsessive about averages. Play games learn to win legs against real people, try to play people at around your level or slightly better and work upwards. Chasing averages or playing people way above your level will be counterproductive in the long run.
I’m sat between 67-72 and can’t improve anymore now. Not a clue where or what to do to go to next level. Became stale now playing 501. Have been playing 201 to practice finishes against bot
Take a look at some of our other videos. In some of them, we discuss methods and exercises that are designed to break up the norm and create new stimuli.
I’m still trying to land on my own stance and throw technique. Also trying darts of various weights. Sometimes I nail it -say, hit 20 two out of three throws. Other times I’m all over the board. Thoughts? Advice?
Finding the perfect stance and throw technique can definitely take some time! 🎯 It’s great that you’re experimenting with different dart weights and seeing some success. When landing a hit consistently, it’s a sign that you’re on the right track. For the times when it’s a bit off, consider focusing on the consistency of your stance and grip. Sometimes even small adjustments can make a big difference. Keep practicing, and those inconsistencies will become less frequent. We’re all in this journey together-let’s keep aiming for improvement!
We are sure that the range is very wide. Some need several hours, but there are certainly players who don't even need to train every day. Littler, for example, said he didn't play any darts between the World Championship and the Bahrain Darts Masters and won the event.
Godartspro is a really good app with hundreds of training games in different categories, including mental training games. If you play against a bot 501, set it up so that you lose 80% of the games so that you have to be fully focused every time.

What I have found. As I get better your misses become smaller which brings smaller numbers. You will come out the other side

Go play Cricket, and work the the rest of the board. Play some Catch 40, or 171!! (171 is the same as 121)

You mentioned playing against a computer. I’m assuming you’re talking about an app. Do you have a name or link?
Dartscounter is a good app
DartCounter is useful m8
Theirs loads of apps you can download on your phone. My preference is DartsCounter. You can play against a bot or play other people online.

Darts counter is great. You can set up an overall average to play against. Also, saves all your stats
