Other host related divergences also had humans diverging from what they "should" have been doing. Just a thought.

I can't wait for Dolores and Maeve to realize they both want to protect their loved ones in The Sublime. Talk about 2 rivers met, Serac better watch out!!!!
A detail presumably answered in this episode that I don't quite get: for most viewers, whichever initial theory you fell behind of where the park was (a regular island, some massive space station, on the bottom of the ocean floor, etc) did you take for granted it was fully enclosed? The biggest reason I'm thinking is they would surely want their own climate control over every park. So even thinking it was on an Earth-bound island, I figured there'd be some sort of dome structure over it, but all's Bernard had to get by was a couple huge steel structures sticking up thru the ocean surface. So all 6 of the Delos parks have been at the mercy of natural weather all along? oh and the "Stubbs unrealistically fights & wins (w/injury) over several guards" bit was made that much worse by the fact that, as far as I can tell, there was no reason for him and Bernard to have to stay in that one spot. Once Bernard got possession of that independent pad, there have to have been lots of other more conspicuous places for him to run his test.
I have a few questions! What are the concrete structures surrounding the island where Westworld is located (we saw them when Bernard got a boat ride back there) and what are their function? What about the Game of Thrones easter egg? I'm suprised Robert didn't make a bigger song and dance about it :D
"I'm suprised Robert didn't make a bigger song and dance about it :D" Me too! Also i'm surprised he didn't comment about Dumb and Dumber's cameo appearance as a couple of Westworld techs.
Not that they would literally make a blatant Game Of Thrones reference, but I've assumed since the beginning of the show that one of the other Delos parks was generally that kind of setting. I'm not certain if it's in the original Michael Crichton book since I've never read it, but "Medieval World" is an additional park in the 1973 Westworld film. It actually spends a fair amount of time there. it probably is in the book.
The explosive was not in Stubbs' neck. First season we learned the hosts all have explosives in their spine near the "tailbone" (even though they don't have bones technically). Details that people keep forgetting are worrisome.
Stubbs leaves the park with his C6 charge intact? Stubbs may not have a core drive or be fully conscious but he does know he’s a host and when Bernard changes his program. I think I’m going to enjoy their buddy cop subplot.
I’m thinking that alone should have caused some form of cognitive dissonance. I am liking the season but I’m not sold on on Stubbs unless there is a payoff later.
As soon as it was revealed in the one story thread that Lee was there specifically to pair with Maeve to lead her somewhere for information, I feared the same thing was happening in the other one. That not that it was also a simulation, it was real and on park grounds, but that Stubbs was there meant by someone for Bernard to find and leave him somewhere not good.
I wonder how many people got the impression that Maeve has solved a problem that has been plaguing Delos for decades. For decades they have been trying to imprint human minds onto hosts and they always end up glitching. We see this glitching with Sizemore as he is confronted with the reality of his death. Then afterwards he's walking and talking fine with no glitches. What did Maeve do to him?
So it’s just on a island seems the weather would be a issue often which never changes in the show and how do they keep out indigenous life. It has to be contained somehow beyond a wall.
So Rehaboam and Serac are one in the same? Only three episodes in, but the only people to have seen him are wearing the VR glasses. Maeve was just in a simulation, so it's very likely she "awakens" again in a simulation - this time meeting Serac. Very possible Serac is just a projection of Rehaboam.
Are you sure it's 3 years? I thought it was only a matter of months since the rebellion and the closure of Westworld? Still, a very lucid and intelligent analysis of what was a fascinating episode. Hope Armistice turns up soon. But I'm still not happy about the idea of Maeve hunting down her fellow robot Dolores on behalf of humanity, esp since she was constantly raped, objectified and abused herself by the park visitors. I thought humanity was the true villain of the series, and I see Dolores as a kind of anti-heroic but essentially sympathetic Spartacus figure, one which admittedly diverges from his traditional reception.
Sorry just missed your correction! Yes, 3 months makes sense so I suspect that timelines are in synch - Dolores' activities are causing concern so Maeve is being recommissioned in the 'real' world.
What? No mention of another park called Medieval World? Didn't you notice that the mandolin player was playing same music as the piano from Season 1? Oh, and that dragon was from GOT (which I didn't watch), which begs the question, was GOT just another Delos Park????

Those concepts are blurred this season , especially this early on. Simplistically it looks as if Maeve & Bernard are the protagonists and Dolores is the antagonist. But as usual with this show it is not exactly clear with motivations / intentions , which side is good or bad or what any person or groups' endgame is , certainly this early on in the season. Those issues are all up for debate and depend on perspective. This season Dolores does seem the main focal point , either the direct focus of the goings on or attempts to resist her on the other end , again too early to tell if that will hold true for the whole season and / or if allegiances , plans or ultimate goals change. Given how Dolores centric this season looks to be , Dolores could be construed as a baddie protagonist (granted only a few episodes into the season) but it could fall into the more conventional Dolores antagonist Maeve & Bernard protagonist roles. Totally out of character for Maeve to cold bloodily shank a random person she just met with a steak knife cause they asked her for help to me. Sure, she threatened to get what she wanted, but she never really was bloodthirsty or so casual with killing anything with her bare hands.
